  • not getting it how did they beat siri omg ???????

  • But there are other factor that needs to be considered, such as network connection speed or wifi connection speed? But I'll be very surpised if anyone that has an iPhone will go back to a Windows phone! Once you've got a Mac you never go back!

  • @icypek SO True ... (127prats) chooses not consider all those things ... Windows Phone isn't bad at all .. Microsoft has come out with something really new ... But if you consider Apps & screen res quality and all of that ... the iPhone is the best overall choice .. It's got the install base of Apps, It has an awesome screen, The OS is stable ... I own an SGS II and i love it .. I hope apple brings out the iPhone 5 with a 4" screen ...

  • @john4short Do you believe Windows Phone isn[t that stable??

  • @VideoDocR I believe it's stable ... I just get annoyed when people say that app crashes is because Android is unstable, when app crashes are caused because the phone isn't supported by the app or the developer hasn't fixed a bug ..Sometimes it's because of a glitch in the OS (that's why we have updates). Has anyone had a crash on Windows Phone, if they have, I hope someone would admit it ... I made the mistake by calling the platform unstable ...

  • All this proves is that the guy from Microsoft is more acquainted with the menus and buttons of his phone ...

  • What a stupid pissing challenge! I would have like to see how well that guy when using Siri against the windows phone?

  • @icypek Just the other day a co-worker was trying to find "The Funnybone" comedy club by asking Siri where it was. Siri couldn't find it, but I asked my WP7 and it popped up right away.

  • @astrak1001 And? Seriously, do you think I'm going to throw away my iPhone 4 and buy a WP7? Even if WP7 was double the speed as iPhone, I still wouldn't touch a WP7.

As everyone of my friends who has gone from a PC to a Mac, or Windows Mobile/Blackberry to iPhone, they'll never go back! The user experience of the iPhone is superior!

  • @icypek I don't care if you stick with the old outdated UX of iOS, I'm just saying in the event I was explaining Siri failed where TellMe succeeded.

  • @astrak1001 Good luck with the hype! I'm not going to go out and buy a WP7, isn't that why you're trying to see which one is better?

If it's "so" revolutionary, then it will sell in the bucket loads, but it probably will not.

  • @icypek crapple fanboy ... u must be a retard. this challenge is for everyday tasks not talking to your phone like a dumbass.... and if you dont know windows phone had that feature in 2010 before siri, which was for text email and cal

  • @127prats oh dear, you're seriously getting upset over this! Wow, what a moron! Someone will do an independent test, and we'll get to see the pro's and con's of this phone.

  • @icypek not upset, but i hate when people try to act smart when they know nothing about a product. independent test? chech windows phone reviews, thats whats a purpose of a review is

  • iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows Phone, MeeGo, or anything... (but no Blackberry) everything is great. You just need to choose which one you like the most. And maybe for some people, 'fast' or 'smooth' is not the most important things.

  • If you listen carefully you can hear that they were smoked by a windows phone! o.O

  • still typing... means those losers are really bad typers. Probably that guy is a really good touch typer.

  • @imrvivek93 He didn't have to type. There were buttons for most of the things the others were typing/searching for (or in one case, speaking). The only thing he typed was probably "Hello". Faster interface.

  • pause the video at 2:27 ..look left there stands galaxy nexus

look right.. there also stands galaxy nexus ??

so it is mostly not how fast your phone is, but how fast you are at tipping etc...

sry but Windows sucks there just a few apps and an os which you can't personalisise as good as you can with android

(sry for bad english :P )

  • @TheMrANNA - sure 75.000 applications is a few .. in what universe?

If one application exists in 25 different versions from 25 different developers but does exactly the same thing more or less good .. and this is try for 25% of the content in your market ..it is easy to get 450.000 applications...

but still 75.000 is not a few ...

  • @TheMrANNA He didn't have to type. That's one of the reasons why he won. He just touched the buttons. He probably only typed "Hello" for that one challenge. Windows has the faster interface.

  • I've checked out all varying phones, and no phone out there is better than WP7... NONE!!!!!

  • @127 prats

ios: if it aint broke dont fix it ;) honestly same base and still competitive 5 iterations later? Something is going right

Android: constant inovation is a con? really?

WP7: good stable sleek, but the apps suck whachu talkin bout

  • is this video fucking awesome or what!? :D

  • Pfft, hes probably a pro(=can type fast, can search fast)

I'm not biased but I don't thing the phone can compete with an iphone 4s, both in hardware and software. But a step in the right direction. Hopefully it drives the competetion between apple and microsoft.

  • @v3nato I have an HTC Titan and my phone destroys my wife's iphone 3s everytime!!!! The new WP is just ridiculously fast, and to top it off, it is alot easier to get task done versus an Iphone. WP simply runs circles around the Iphone... Believe me... I was an Iphone fan, until I got my hands on my Titan.

  • @rmaynard626

Dude 3gs is an old phone, its not a fair competition. Compare it to an iphone 4s with an a5 chip and you will see that iphone is much more solid and faster than any other phone. Problem with android and windows is that it feels allot ''flimsier'' and not as good as iOS.

  • @v3nato I'm sorry, I meant iphone 4... Actually, It didn't matter either way... My wife's son has the 4 and my wife has the 3gs, and both were virtually the same. It didn't matter regarding hardware; it has everything to do with application intergration. Everything meshes seamlessly together on the WP7 phones. I have the HTC Titan, and it awesome! I wish I held out though and got the Titan II...

  • @rmaynard626

But still it's not a fair game, the iphone 4 is soo much older, you have to compare it with an 4s.Becaus HTC titan was announced September 1, 2011 = 5-6 months ago, but the iphone 4 was announced 7 juni 2010 =1 year and 8 montes ago.Your comparing your phone with one that is more than a year older! But the iphone 4s was announced the same time as HTC titan

And HTC Titan can't put up anything against a 4s. If you think otherwise please link a video proving you statement

  • @v3nato The contest isn't about device speed, it's about usability. Windows phone makes tasks you often perform more accessible. Al you need to do to take a picture and upload it to facebook (or twitter) is press a button, swipe once and tap two twice.

I would like to see them upload the same photo to Google+ or Hyves.nl. Or to find directions to the nearest restaurant here in Europe. These are tasks that SHOULD be just as easy, but they aren't.

  • @realbart

    Okej, sorry. Your right :)

  • @v3nato I have compared my HTC Trophy to a 4S in the Verizon store. I still won.

  • @v3nato - it is peopel walking by with their personal phones.. what is not fair? It's not about processor speed .it is about usability. .and at least one in the challenge tried to use Siri ... so there was at least one iPhone 4S

  • Comment removed

  • LOL No fair they're using their best user alive! XD Windowsphoneforthewin!

  • 3:16 stats

  • Eh I'm happy with the pure superiority of my Samsung Galaxy Note... nice try though microsoft

  • I will take my GS2 over those any day

  • My WP7 is too damn fast haha. so beastly. WP7 all day erry day

  • TThe only reason i not buying wp7 is because it doesnt support my country language! WORK ON IT MICROSOFT!

  • this is not completely fair.

he is sure to have very fast internet connection, and they have practice all the specific tasks giving to the people.

i still really like windows phone. it is fast, easy, interesting and cheaper then an iphone.

  • @EchoNatek All phones including the one Ben uses are signed into the same wifi when the testing begins.

  • @EchoNatek the unfair bit of it, is the tests are obviously designed to play to the Windows phones strengths and that is the immediate accessibility of the apps they are using.

  • @nuwuck that would be yet another reason that it is a pretty unfair challenge.

  • @nuwuck Excellent comment... Wish the other users would bother to read it?

  • @scottcolemanport And about directions. ... You think IVS is faster than Siri? Could you please tell me which windows phone is considered the best out there? I would really like to get it and test myself to see if you are right. If you are I will upgrade to windows phone. Cause simplicity and speed is what I love about iphones so far

  • @scottcolemanport Well I think It can post faster due to the twitter intregration it has. I saw a video where 4S beats windows phone. In ios 5.0.1 you don't have to use the twitter app. When you take a picture for example the is an option post to twitter and you can do it superfast. And I am always talking about iphone 4S and ONLY 4S.

  • WP7 FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I will smoke any Windows Phone with my Galaxy Nexus, are you kidding me? Windows Phones are an ok concept but can't even come close to even iOS, much less Android. Hey look on the bright side at least they're better than a blackberry.

  • Oh come on... this isn't about the hardware being faster... this is about which user can do it faster... example... twitter... iphone 4S cannot loose.... another exaple... directions iphone 4S still cannot loose but if Siri's server doesn't work it's then going to loose... I like very much the whole windows phone thing but I have to say that it's a matter of choice.... which UI you prefer etc. Anyway I have to say that this is a very good promotion from Microsoft...

  • @anthapo How do you figure that the iphone 4s can post to twitter faster? it can't, I just tested it with my mate, he just finished loading the twitter app by the time I had posted!

Directions on 4S? You do realise that the window phone has an intelligent voice service right?

Your very mis-informed, I do however agree with your point on personal choice.

    (i have a Nokia Lumia 800)

  • only iPhones wins?? jajjajaja Siri win too.

  • @musik12100 wtf you mean only iphones ? only one 4s won, and 2 androids won ! lmao

  • @XabdaneX96 i read that the WP7 that he uses is the best wp7 avaliable, so, the other people use normal phones and they haven't ability to use properly the phone.

was a injustice. sorry for my english.im mexican lol

  • @musik12100 The Galaxy Nexus is the best Android phone available, the iPhone 4s is the best iPhone available, and I don't know enough about Blackberry (or care). It was down to the user of the phone and the software, not the hardware. All WP7 devices are smooth and none of them have a dual-core chip yet.

  • I like that they showed them losing. Anyway Mango FTW

  • I have an iPhone, I really envy the sleekness of WP7 but that woman at the start with the camera... I feel really dissapointment... Double tap home button on lock screen for camera :I

  • this guy probably had homescreen shortcuts.

  • @11tonyyy11 You mean live tiles? Live tiles are the same as icons except they give you losts of info on them. He is not doing speed tests he is doing how easy you can get your info, send your info, or open an app and post something. My Windows Phone smokes my parents Evos everyday.

  • microsoft rulez!!!

  • Oh hello, SGSII MIUI master race reporting in, just being the fastest out there.

  • I just got my Windows Phone today, for my birthday and I love it! LOVE IT!! It's amazing!!

  • @alienwaregamerx2011 i got mine like a week ago for my bday too! :D Samsung Focus Flash FTW! and LOL WINDOWS PHONE ALL THE WAY

  • WP works flawlessly in pretty much any wpdevice and you can find one for 200$ non-contract so i guess any phone costs more than that is smoked since with wp u can pretty much do anything!!

  • ios: 5 phones similar designs same layout and dumbasses keep bragging

android: so many new phones every week that people dont know which one to buy, bad app quality, lags and malware.

Windows Phone: best/most stable OS, apps that are not crap, best looking, fastest multitasking and whoever has it never complains.

    Love Windows Phone

  • @127prats

you've never had an iPhone right?

  • @nAcolz dude i am using an iPhone 4S right now, I have never had a Windows Phone 7 (had mobile) but i am buying wp7 next month.

  • @127prats

Well then good luck.. I would never switch from 4S to WP7 but I am on 3GS and I plan on buying WP7 too, maybe I should wait for WP8 because it's rumored to support dual core cpus, SDHC memory cards, and much more

  • @nAcolz yes it is rumored but wp is faster than ios and android with single core alone. also u can update your phone to wp8 if it has to be done. so u dont really have to worry about waiting to buy apollo

  • @nAcolz Umm I do not see WP8 coming out until September so if you willing to wait that long I would wait but the Titan 2 when it comes out should last you a good 2 years. Even the first Titan would last you a while.

  • @127prats you're as bad as an applefagboy.

  • @nuwuck oh a cradroid fan is here, I see

  • @127prats Nah, i've used mainly symbian. Yes my current phone is Android, but last time i checked the SG2 didn't come with Windows 8, nor was a Windows 8 phone available when i chose the SG2.

I choose whats best for me from whats available at the time i upgrade, i dont just stick to Apple or Nokia, nor do i stick to an OS.

    Understand dipshit :D

  • @127prats You can't call all Windows Phones stable ... Windows Phone OS 6 and older were CRAPPY ... iOS is the most stable, snappy & smooth OS ever ... I own a galaxy S2 and I have never encountered Malware & Lag ever ... completely wrong ... Windows Phone 7 and above is alright .. But the scarcity of apps SUCKS BIG TIME ...

  • @john4short hey dumbass, that is window mobile not windows phone dumbass. windows phone and windows mobile are DIFFERENT First learn something about operating systems befor you comment. every android phone has force close and no android phone is made with lags. ios is stable, but windows phone is better or at par. android is nowhere near close when it comes to stability

  • @127prats Making it clear right here .. I ain't no dumb ass ... Windows Mobile & Windows Phone use the same Windows CE platform , Which in turn is DOS based .. and the last time I checked I needed an Anti virus of some sort to keep malware etc away from my system .. it's stable, smooth I'll give it that .. Protected? maybe ... But the overall package naaaahhhh ! ... For heavens sake they use a very low res for their screens and single core ? common move with the times DUAL CORE, Quad Core ! ...

  • Comment removed

  • @127prats U seriously need to cool down ..Just because u like Windows Phone doesn't that everybody has to agree with u ... The reason I brought out the anti virus thing is because u mentioned Malware on Android ..I was just pointing out that Windows in general is a very easy platform to create viruses for.idk about u .. But every1 else buys a phone for the features they can do with or do without . And to make it clear, The only reason some of those phones lost is because he knew his phone better

  • @127prats Have you tried an Android or iOS phone ever ? ... whether you like it or not Android is going to be the leading platform because it's open source .. I like android ( I use it as my every day driver) , I adore iOS, it will always have a special place in my heart, Heck my next phone might be the iPhone 5 (Who Knows !) .. But Windows phone just seems a bit out dated to me .. Great camera's & OS is pretty cool, But the rest is Outdated .. Overall package sucks ... Sadly ...

  • smoked by a windows phone, by a windows phone, buy a windows phone, buy a windows phone.... subliminal.

  • @CT2kX Actually it's more like "smoked, smoked, smoked, smoked..."

  • @JustCommentOkay thats not the part i was pointing out.

  • uhh...iphone 4s ftw!!!... fuck i think i am in the wrong video.

  • Great idea! :) Nokia is the best!!!

  • No top comment? Umm Iphone sucks comparing to Windows Phone.

  • don't care about how 'fast' it is, your OS will still be inefficient at heart.

  • lol... I am not complaining at all. The ads talks about smoking other smartphones on every possible way. I am simply pointing out that handling several email accounts is done better and faster in other platforms. In other words, if I was there, I could have gotten me a $100. Btw, I owned a Samsung Focus and develop apps for it. Search for Cristian0 in the marketplace to find my apps :p tetra fail?

  • These people never heard of "SHORTCUTS?"lol Wish I had an upgrade like that, device looks awesome! and Great Video :)

  • They should have demonstrated how it actually work faster. the windows phone guy didnt even seem to type anything at all. don't know if its a setup or hes trained to do it fast or what =D

  • @AlwaheedKOD Many of the challenges wouldn't have required typing because so much is built in. Local Scout and one-touch sharing probably swung it for him. The WP7 keyboard is amazingly good at speed, so he can be blazingly fast there too.

  • @AlwaheedKOD 50% training, 50% gimmicks no one will use. guarantee it.

  • i have nokia 3310 and i smoked by windows phone :)

  • Windows Phone's are the BEST!!!!

  • wins:

    iphone 4s

    galaxy nexus

    droid bionic

    GO ANDROID !!! :D

  • @XabdaneX96 FYI plenty of those same phones lost to WP7 as well, lol.

  • Vegas is home for me.

  • Totally Unfair. and yes, this might be a commercial, cuz thats what a commercial do, make an statement with no mention of parameters that make this fair, like carriers coverage, user ability, if the phone have cached the info, etc... and turn this into their favor. Microsoft is smarter than this.

  • Ageed. Everyone had a blast - win or lose. Hyped. Sure. But at least it was real, not just bogus marketing schlock from some ad agency. WP7 ruled. It was ni accident tbe IS has been recognised as a srep forward from many tech sites and the HTC Titan and Nokia 800 are pulling down awards worldwide.

  • try reading emails and IMs on different email accounts and IM clients .. WP7 fails!

  • I agree, but what is worse is integrating things like facebook and twitter in the OS, while widgets and apps do the same thing at the user choice, not at the Microsoft's choice!

  • @annaju86 If you don't like the baked-in Facebook and Twitter integration, then download the official 3rd party apps for each. The "Microsoft choice" is just an option (that works quite well IMO).

  • @fermie125 You misinterpreted my statement, I said that I don't like those applications to be withing the operating system and not installed separately by the user. On that you have no choice, if you download 3rd party apps you are bloating the system even more,so clearly that's not a good choice..

  • @carios23 all my email accounts are linked into one inbox and all my IMs are in linked so Txt and IMs from the same person are linked... all right next to each other

  • @Cueil basically, you forward all your emails to one email account? that wont always wort with corporate email and it seems rather cumbersome

  • @carios23 I DO read different email accounts and IM accounts every day on my Windows Phone. Its called the Email Hub and the Message Hub and its built right in. No 3rd party apps required. Your comment fails.

  • @fermie125 yes, but you have to leave in an out of several tiles... now your comment fails at failing somebody.. so.. double failure!

  • @carios23 "but you have to leave in an out of several tiles"... Multitasking lets you work in several apps or tiles at the same time so its really not a big deal. Besides every smart phone requires you to jump in and out of apps to perform different functions. Your point is moot. Just stop complaining and actually pick up a Windows Phone so you can see for yourself. I believe sir you have just failed at failing my comment "failure" ... so... triple fail! ha ha

  • @fermie125 its kind of a fall at the first hurdle when you can only think of multitasking in terms of apps instead of actual OS processes...

  • @carios23 I have three email accounts linked together on my WP7, no problem there. What are you talking about?

  • That's true...

just yesterday night I was talking with my friends that my new windows phone is faster in every way that every other smartphone I have ever had. And it's delightful to use. I'm very happy about it and I recommend it... and this video should be on tv, it's fun and kind of informative

  • Why not in my country........ Free phone.......

  • NEWSFLASH salesman knows product and picks race. Hardly double blind is it?

  • @1970true true, but he did pick common activities and someone did win... bonus with Driod phones is you can tweek the crap out of them

  • Comment removed

  • Windows "desperation" my butt! I am an Apple fanboy (Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, IPod touch, Ipad) and I was completely blown away by how "old" and clunky this makes ios5 feel... they got it RIGHT. (I am actually buying the new HTC Titan in 47 days.)

Now if they could do that for their desktops.

  • @cool555breeze They did, its called Windows 8

  • @NasherDezno appearently Windows Phone 8 will have the same UI as Windows 8... Nokia seems like it'll have the first WP8

  • @cool555breeze They are with Windows 8!

  • And for round two, which cup is the ball under? you wanna bet?

  • This vid shows the desperation of windows

  • @ashu3260 and the lameness at the same time of bullying better and open platforms like Android just to get some market share!

  • what phone is he(ben) using ?

  • @boozeeboy htc Titan

  • @bsnarm thanks

  • Lol that was cool! Still... I fucking love my iPhone 4S. Nice phone though!

  • at 2:17 the men tells ''windows phone wins again'' why stay wp7 not on the wins list on 2:25 ??

  • @kerayzey you idiot the point is you get 100 if you beat him not if you lose dipshit

  • @charliepoppy123 read it wrongly. just really tired at the time. not a wp hater though. i have one. still, there's no need to be 'an internet badass'. ooo scary~~..."i scare people with my keyboard".

  • The price of 100 dollars if you phone is slower might tempt them to purposely slow down on what they're doing. Slow down, and get 100 bucks. Easy money.

  • @kerayzey if they beat him they get $100.

  • For all of those who say he had a fresh phone or pre prepared, Windows Phone does not run slow, its not shit like Android which performs differently because of fragmentation and crap OS Design, sorry I mean less good than Windows Phone ;) as for the rig, its not, each person who felt they were up to the challenge got time to prepare and versus Ben. Just because Windows Phone beat on so many occasions does not mean its fake, your just worried you got the wrong phone, admit it you guys are jealous

  • @whapster I'm not jealous. Windows Phone is great.

  • Seems legit....

just like the rest of US reality shows :p

  • Props to MS here. Windows phone is good, but he's got a bit rigged challenge as he's probably using a fresh phone with just what he needs for the challenges, and he knows what to do, average people even with a phone wouldn't keep up with him. Still love it though.

  • @gyro2death The challenge was not rigged. The people were told what the challenge would be and were given time to prepare and practice.

  • Comment removed

  • Would beat him anytime with my old Galaxy S if i knew what was coming just like him :)

  • @efr89 competitors are being told what they have to do, pretty sure they know what's coming.

  • 日本で新しいWindowsPhoneを発売してくれ

  • I am a proud Windows Phone Fanboy and I really love my focus flash/omnia w

  • I love windows phone so much i downloaded a theme on my ipod touch called OS7 that makes almost EVERYTHING look like WP7. Even the live tiles! :D It's sort of a temporary thing until I get my very own Windows Phone....most likely Nokia.

  • Seriously? Way to go WindowsPhone...now bring on the Nokia hardware and I will dump my iPhone!

  • @MileHighSisu Nokia Lumia 710 and 800 are already available and the flagship 900 will be on AT&T in March.

  • really don' care about the speed, but symbian, android and ios were just copying each other and look the same to me, i'm a fedora fan by but i have to say WP7 is the best microsoft product since sidewinder, now GO A MAKE A REAL microsoft phone! if it has half the quality of zune HD it will be the best phone out there

  • @deraickripper The real Windows Phone (if there is such a thing) would have to be the Nokia Lumia 900. It comes with a lot of unique features not found on other Windows Phones. Available on AT&T in March.

  • This is commercial

  • Best OS on the world <3

  • You just got smoked by a Windows Phone.

  • I was a 4 year BB addict... and all of a sudden came WP7... Dell Venue Pro KICKS ASS

  • Use this on a commercial

  • Dell Venue Pro, one of the world's fastest booting phones. AMOLED, keyboard, 2 day battery, and one heck of a DAC (Best sounding device with an Amp and a pair of Turbines, ever.) Smooth as glass.

  • Nokia Windows Phone please. I remember having trouble choosing between an e71 and a new Windows Phone. Now that they've come together, choosing is easy. haha I love it. Waiting on AT&T now.

  • why is this not a commercial?

  • wich phone are he usesing?

  • @pk2alien usesin? rlly?

  • @pk2alien htc titan 2
