  • This is why the US is in the sorry shape it's in...a piece of trash like "Leaky" Leahy, has a job and gets on tv.

  • Leahy, a posterboy for term limits, is all for "diversity". Living in a virtually all white state and owning a mansion (he calls it a" farm") (lol) located in an all white county he's exactly whats wrong in Wash DC.

  • Cheney has a baboon heart and a neocon brain-- the electric chair is the only reasonable option.

  • Hey its the old guy from Batman!

  • didn't Cheney tell Leah to get f*cked on the Senate floor?

  • Yes, Cheney should be in prison. We as Americans are frightened to bring these politicians to justice for crimes against humanity. I don't know why..it's obvious that he and the rest of the MIC had alot invested in the Iraqi war yet all we do is moan and complain.

What's worse is 'conservatives' idolize people like Sarah Palin who really do not differ in their stance towards our foreign policy.

  • I don't think we're afraid. I just think we're too lazy.

It's like "Hmmm...what should I do today? Organize a large group and demand that the Bush administration be prosecuted.....or go to a movie?"

  • Eh, most people feel like it's too distant from their own lives to even matter. The ones that do care feel like they can do nothing about it.

I've gone off on similar rants about the Bush administration to my friends and coworkers. Even though none of them like Bush, they all look at me like I'm from another planet, lol.

  • true words

  • I've decided I like this Leahy guy.

  • So is a dog turd to anybody who's interested in not stepping on it.

  • lol you're just upset that he's right, put it far more eloquently than you, and you're getting voted into oblivion too boot. xD

  • Voted into oblivion? Are living on planet Loon too or perhaps a cave? I mean really, have you noticed any of the polls lately?

Enjoy your time in the sun, because it is all over in 2010 and again in 2012.

  • I love how you just assume I'm liberal - you actually think it *matters* who wins in 2010 /12? Your democracy is an Illusion and has been for some time. You might wake up to it one day, but I'm not holding my breath.

As for voted into oblivion? Yes, you were, as in *you* specifically. Look at your comment ratings ya daft prat.

  • Yeah, I'm really concern about my ratings on this liberal loon feast TPM TV. Get a grip.

  • Are you inviting us all to come masturbate behind your keyboard with you, Atlas? From your rants on this page you seem to be doing a fine job of spreading your poison around all by your lonesome. Now, excuse me while I go sterilize my hands.

  • Hey Callou - how is the weather on planet Loon today? Global warming I'm sure.

  • The greatest thing about this ass clown atlasobject is that he not only percieves but also types/speaks in hyperbole.

if its all gonna be over in 10, how will it be over in 12 again?

but really, the GOP is kind of hurtin right now

jindal, sanford, palin, bachmann, romney, huckbee, steele, wilson,

all "rising stars of the GOP"

    all fail

  • Well let's see jmrden - there is a vote for the house and senate in 2010, then in 2012 there is a presidential election as well. According to the polls, which will only get worse as Obama pursues his radical agenda, your boys will be out of office - thus it will be over.

  • Honestly, I'd like to see a more balanced congress. Even though I voted Bush (I mean Cheney) and his radical agenda out of office by not allowing Republicans a chance to redeem themselves, it doesn't sit well with me to have an unbalanced government. What I see as the big issue is the inability for both sides to work together. The political divide is growing along with the hard right and left nuts. With out compromise, we'll go no where.

  • Thumbs up just so that you can continue babbling.

  • Thanks wretcher - Back to the point at hand - Cheney's relevance. I think his relevance is obvious by the amount of passionate postings here.

Make sure to check out Draftcheney2012. com. The support is amazing!

  • you can get lots of passionate postings for both popular and unpopular people. Joe the not-Plumber got a lot of passionate postings, but he could never be elected...neither could Cheney.

    1. he's freaking Darth Vader, the attack ads write themselves

    2. he's failing in health and in and out of the hospital constantly

    3. "So?" that comment alone would be argument against electing him. He could give a crap about the country, he's got wars to profit from.

A vote for Cheney is a vote for war

  • "he could never be elected...neither could Cheney." Note to Gretch - he was elected... twice, even with his pro gay marriage stance, oh sorry to burst your Darth Vader bubble. You really should get out more.

  • "Note to Gretch - he was elected... twice"

See, Atlas, this is what happens when we let criminals run wild. Cheney was never elected and he was the one doing the "vetting" for the vice presidency in the first election which means that was even illegal. Cheney is a war criminal and you are a coward for continuing your support of this enemy of the United States. Wait! That would make you an enemy too. You need to get your facts straight while there is still time.

  • That "failing in health" thing is what gets me. If we don't do something with cheney the war criminal and fast, the little pig will have the opportunity to die of natural causes and he really needs to suffer!

  • Cheney is relevant in that he is a person of interest in one of the biggest war crimes in history. Republicans are relevant for their support of these war crimes. Cheney will be more relevant as the subject once we figure out his method of execution. Then we will find "relevant" means for the republicans who supported the terrorists called bush.

  • Obama is gonna have to whole country against him, both the anti and pro-war movements.

  • and at this point, I think that should say something about us as a people.

not defending Obama, but geez....put a true centrist president in the WH and everyone hates him. Kind of ironic.

  • Trying to please everybody in the end pleases nobody.

More famous people than me have said it better than that, but that's the main premise.

  • "Anti-war people are anti american " Yes, no more bloodthirsty document then the Constitution! Or did Poes law strike again?

  • The opposite of love is indifference, not hate. We don't want our men and women in uniform to die for meaningless political goals. If Conservatives are so concerned with America, why do they hate Americans?

  • No, the opposite of love IS hate - indifference is smack bang in the middle. Just saying.

  • Afghanistan has nothing to do with 11-9-01. neither does Iraq neither does Iran or any other country that existed only in Bush's private little "axis of ebil"

  • Cheney = War Criminal hang em high it will teach the counterfeiters a lesson.

  • too true

  • After seeing how power hungry Cheney was, I was actually surprised he left the white house without coming up with some reason why he needed to stay in it.

  • Didn't you see him in the wheelchair on Obama's inauguration day? The official story was that he hurt his back moving some boxes as he prepared to vacate the VP residence. The un-official story was that he wrenched his back lifting so many papers into the shredding machine.

The actual story is he hurt his back when four Secret Service guys had to pry his hands and legs off the gate at the VP residence.

  • Obama is following Cheney's neocon policies, so I don't know what his problem is.

  • Their both treasonous bastards.

  • I dont know this guy, but at least someone finally said it

  • Leahy was the guy that Cheney told to 'go fuck himself' on the floor of the Senate a few years ago. Under the circumstances, I think he's showing remarkable restraint in his criticism of Cheney.
