  • Wake up people. Our Government is being controlled by the "The Rothschilds Banking & Oil Empire" who own The Fed, Bank of England, ECB, IMF Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan, Citibank etc. They have their own private armys Called “Mossad & Al Qaeda”. The Roth’s Control Our Military, Police, NATO, UN etc. They control it all. We need to Wake people up to what’s “REALLY HAPPENING and stop them… Get educated on how to defeat the Corprate Robbing Murderers of the World! Do it for your kids futures!

  • "American Imperialism learned from British Imperialism?" hey, don't go blaming us for your country's tiny dick

  • Amazing! This should be shown to all History students at G.C.S.E PLEASE !!!!

    Oh and A level too

  • @saldaia That would be annoying, to watch this as part of your GCSE and become inspired to move on to A level, only to be shown it again.

  • BRILLIANT! Always loved Rob Newman. Nice to see he's still doing it!!

  • I love him. Thank you for posting.

  • REFINED POLEMIC....I THINK NOT ALL ROB HAS DONE IS HIGHLIGHT EVENTS THAT OCCURED AND LETS YOU DECIDE WITH HUMOR HOW TO INTERPRET THOSE EVENTS...ITS A SHAME MAINSTREAM MEDIA DOES THIS BUT ITS NO SURPRISE IS IT REALLY.

  • WELL ECONOMICS IS UTTER NONSENSE THATS THE WHOLE REASON WHY WE ARE SO BACKWARD AS A SPECIES. THE PURSUIT OF MONEY HAS COMPLETELY ENVELOPED THE HUMAN PSYCHE TO THE POINT THAT WE DESTROY THE VERY ENVIROMENT THAT PERMITTED US TO LIVE, REMOVE THE MONETARY SYSTEM AND WE WILL BE WELL ON OUR WAY TO A BETTER SOCIAL STRUCTURE.

  • enlightening. it makes sense that ww1 was really about a well established empires defense its energy supplies from a rival empire, than the nonsensical reason we were spoon fed.

only 4 people didnt like this video. i expect it clashed with the usual techno cornucopian fantasy bollocks of man being the creator of his own destiny.

energy was the primary reason for the ind revolution, and subsequent bacterial like population growth, NOT human ingenuity.

    read 'overshoot' by william catton

  • @andy765gtr I ENTIRELY AGREE THE MOST FASCINATING POINT IS HOW THEY INTRODUCE HIM ON CHANNEL 4 AS A SURREALIST COMEDIAN WITH A WARPED VIEW OF HISTORY. WELL ANY INQUISITIVE MIND WOULD SOON REALIZE WHAT ALL THE WARS WERE ABOUT AND ARE STILL ABOUT PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP AND STOP INDUCING THIS MEDIA INSANITY THEY ARE BEING FED THAT WAR IS GLORIOUS AND NECESSARY ONLY UNCIVILIZED BEINGS BEHAVE THIS WAY.

  • @sol2soul77 Yea I agree. My friend who is a marine said we invaded Iraq for other motives besides also liberating the ppl. He was like y not free the North Koreans?, African countries etc. I was like yea I kno. He did say though that the military tries to help the ppl. But throughout the war mostly the citizens suffer. They have to move out or sometimes there house is demoed or blown up simply because the enemy chose to fight from there or etc.

  • @sol2soul77 quite so. warped view of history my arse. robert nails the causative reasons for 20th c warfare. total genius. all hes saying really, and i dont know why its 'warped' is germany wanted to expand its growth and scope for resources in the age of oil. he also seems to understand (and its a rare and beautiful thing) that infinite growth economic policy and unrestrained population growth will lead to inevitable future wars(as before). most probably nuclear in a peak oil world

  • @andy765gtr DONT GET ME WRONG ITS ABOUT TIME ROBS POINT OF VIEW WAS MADE MORE MAINSTREAM BUT THE MEDIA IS OWNED BY THE PEOPLE WITH HAVE VESTED INTERESTS IN KEEPING THE MASSES ASLEEP, FORTUNATELY SOME OF US QUESTION AUTHORITY AS THE SAYING GOES THEY MUST FIND HARD THOSE THAT PLACE AUTHORITY AS THE TRUTH INSTEAD OF THE TRUTH AS THE AUTHORITY.

  • @sol2soul77 even the bbc dont question growth economics. and it is this that will lead us to war again as the imports dry up. of course, we cant grow food now half the farm land is under concrete, fertilizer will diminish due to peak oil, not to mention the colossal overshoot. oops. economists are absolutely bonkers. their basic premises are incorrect. it is pure 19th century psuedo sociology. physical scientists outlined our problems 40 yrs ago in 'limits to growth' but no one listened.

  • ...it is never too late to discover Robert Newman...why did you go and hide as soon as i came over to England from the US? I needed people like you to get over it, you know, everything... :(

  • hahaha i just found this guy hes hilarious. Kind of reminds me of Bill Hicks.

  • absolutely brilliant

  • This is funny and education in one. Who needs David Baddiel?

  • glad to see this back online again! :)

  • I'd like to know who the 3 people are that don't like this.

  • @golcynski

Bush SR, Bush JR, Reagan there's 3...

  • I just found this guy - never heard of him before(I don't watch TV). He's the most interesting "comedian" I've come across since the late, great Bill Hicks.

  • 3:16 Guilty! I used to read and watch military stuff just for gun porn too, until I grew up...

  • discovered this man today. He is a true genius and would like to see him more often!

  • Does anyone know where Israel buys its petroleum? Would you believe Iran? It started with the Shah, and continued with Khomeini, and still today. The agent's name was Marc Rich, and the means is a Pipeline from Elait, to Ashklon on the Med. built after the Six Day War, when the Suez Canal was closed.

Check it out, it is too unbelievable to be made up.

It's never mentioned in the Western Press, but obviously none of Israel's Muslim neighbors is likey to sell them oil.

  • Even more rarely done than placing oil in the limelight it deserves...is placing Rome in the limelight she deserves.

Inquisition and Counter Reformation/Enlightenment, writ Global and ongoing.

  • why did this character split with badeil was there a bust up is that why badeil is now with skinner

  • well look at what he's doing here. Then watch an episode of Baddiel and Skinner unplanned. You may perceive a distinct difference in outlook, priorities, personal politics etc.

  • he comes out on stage at 1:30 if you want to skip straight to it

  • Brilliantly done. Funny and perhaps even educational. At least this way of presenting a conspiracy theory of one type or another is entertaining.

  • A conspiracy theory?? So oil won't deplete then??

  • His characterisation is superb.

  • they see you trollin

    you're hatin

    we've caught you writin dirty

seriously dude, if you don't like it, get the hell out. You're wasting your time

  • You're at the wrong meeting!

  • I can appreciate a good troll when I see one. Keep up the good work.

  • I don't like Michael Moore. Did you have a point? Carry on with your trolling.

  • Yay. Well done you for comparing two completely unrelated statistics. I could reply by quoting something equally relevant like fish cake price fluctuations in brazil. But that would be utterly self defeating and totaly pointless. Much like your post. There really isn't much I could write that would better expose you as a small minded racist bigot than your own words, but please, take your bile somewhere else, ok? Or better yet, take a look at your vile atittudes and straighten yourself out.

  • Such briliance. Im really astonished by Robert Newman's mind.

Did you noticed that during whole 45 minutes of the show , He didn't hasitated nor did any verbal mistake even once ? Not even single 'eeeem' before new sentence. Hearing him talking is almoust like music. :D

    Damn im impressed.

  • no science. no bullsh...

    just fun, history, truth...

    why cant you just watch...

    truth about Britain, USA, France...

  • awesome...

  • Ah I remember Rob from the Mary whitehouse experience. Great to see he's doing something worthwhile, and still being hilariously funny too.

  • o i just got my chatcam working!!! msn me jane24belle L

  • British satire at it's best. This man is brilliant. He shows how Social darwinism with a dash imperialistic capitalism is the foundation of the west. Sad but true.

The average houses use 30 Kwh a day when it could easily be 6kwh. Electric cars available for less than $10,000 and are being built by people all the time which can cover 80% of all journeys.

Its not solutions that are lacking.

Its you! Change your habits. Enviroman will show you.

  • keep aw AT from my lifestyle. It's my energy to use as I See ft. Frayed fur it not Yos. So mind your own affairs.

  • has no relevance to reality. comedy is being used to distract you from critical thinking. Peak oil is a myth that has been used every 10-20 years totally played out. we have enought to last almost 1,800 years @ todays consumption rate only using known reserve. get the facts straight. displays a blatant hatred for the very things that make the modern life they enjoy possible. It does not take more calories to produce food than the calories produced. things get better with time not worse.

  • 1,800 years?? Can you cite any sources that agree with your figure. I previously worked in Oil & Gas exploration, and your figure seems a little...optimistic.

  • ok then tell me what your real totally unbiased opinion is of Course that will never happen you're inheritably biased to say way less to keep the myth of Supply & Demand in Focus!!!

  • Well, in answer to your question, I fear for us humans, especially my sister's children. They may grow up in a world of utter chaos because unfettered use of oil and gas is like pyramid schemes, and given my employment background, I can't see the petro-energy supply lasting their lifetime (unless there is a significant change in its use).

However, I still wonder why you suggest that the oil will last another 1800 years at today's consumption rate. It is far higher than any I've seen elsewhere

  • do the math. of coursecwe've been told we're almost out in twenty years, for the last 40. if you looked the Field just discovered in MexiCo alone. plus all the methane gas Naturally found around the world plus and plus what wc can Mable. this pals as way ahead act to mention rnss. is war fields, Alaska the as & a whole planet of UN Searched ocean billon, in me than alone would be l,ooo times more than the oil were used. Soya 1,800 years

  • "New oil field in Mexico"

from BBC, 2006: deep-water oil field discovered "believed to contain 10bn barrels of crude"

Annual global consumption is a little over 30 billion barrels. So this new field won't last 1800 years. Not even close.

  • in thatone field alone but thn again in the 70's they said we only had enoughboik to last 20 years . so go figure

  • "so go figure"

I figure you try to distract from the fact that your claim about there being enough oil for 1800 years is completely untrue.

  • I think you are using fishy research and fishy logic and subscribing to a fishy idealogy because you are angry or something but it is quite obvious that you are way off with that 1800 year figure. On so many fucking levels too. Clown.

  • not angry. but we have more than enough . i would divulge my sources but thereisonly so much space 2 educate with here. you need mnths of r-education

  • you need months at MY SCHOOL for reducation: You get to sit down relax, then we applie lysergic acid to your eyeballs and play a nice game of chess. The only problem is I use a hammer on your fingers to asist in breaking down those idealogical concepts that so pervert your wisdom. So you can brush up on your chess or practice your Kung Fu but the one thing you shouldn't do is spread lies. You will be held accountable.

  • the notion that you regard yourself as an educator......why,it's absurd! ABSURD I TELL YOU!

  • why because I duebunk you false notions of reality? I see you did not come back with a valid arguement because there is none. ;-) my school for reeducation is called traveling constantly for most of my life so I get to things first hand and not the lies that you believe coming out of the idiot box. the is no shortage of anything on this planet

  • there's clearly a shortage of dictionaries in your house. mwah ha ha!

  • Sadly, base reality does argue against you. There is a shortage of oil, as it is a finite resource in a growing system. Investment Bankers who depend upon it have commented on the issue and have been quite clear as to what the prognosis is...and what they've said has yet to hit the 'idiot box' for mass consumption. The sheep are still (mostly) asleep.

You don't war for something that is so abundant that everyone can easily get it.

  • Using the Internet has been a disillusioning experience for me, as it has revealed to me the shocking incidence of near-illiteracy in the English-speaking world,

I would be interested to re-read your post in properly capitalised and punctuated sentences, with correctly spelt words. Maybe then it might make some sense.

  • jekyllBoote: twat.

  • My, that's a big word for a small brain!

  • Sorry to intervene, but didnt he just disprove your point? He spelt twat correctly

    Have a nice day

  • No, he proved that he was able to spell one very short, vulgar word without making a mistake.

Let's see what he's like with a whole sentence, especially one consisting of words of more than one syllable.

  • Aha, now thats upping the stakes :)

I look forward to seeing if he can, but i somehow doubt it

  • Then it sounds like we agree on something!

  • Hello from the birth place of the modern oil industry aaaannnndddd the cancer capitol of the U S! But hey, that's just a lucky coinky dink, right? RIGHT!?!?

  • haha.. good stuff!! America could learn a lot from Britain.

  • the point was britain is as bad .. douche

  • yeah but the British know it, while the Americans are still asleep.

  • right ok a fair few english know it and it is easier to put a point like this forward on T.V over here... but you go out tonight and ask people if they know or more inportantly care.. i can tell you now not a lot if any people will.. some of us know whats happening and has happend over here and so do some in america... ie bill hicks..

  • American Imperialism learned from British Imperialism, which makes sense since America was spawned from a British colony.

  • Exactly!

  • To understand anything about British policy East of the Bosphorus you must first understand, good fucking lucking luck, India. The British may have conquered India, but India ended up controlling the British.

  • there is a torrent file with robert newman's "apocalypso now" show on mp3, which is essentially the same as this show. i think if you search "political satire" you will find it.

  • This should be front page YouTube every day, most viewed ever. This guy is in my 'dream dinner party guest list'.

Thank you whenthesumis for pointing me in the direction of more gold, you filthy pirate you :p

  • no problem! :)

  • Wake up people why close your eyes...the truth with a few laughs very informative!

    Peace be upon you

  • great to see rob back as was a big mary whitehouse and newman and baddiel fan back in the day, Baddiel may have gone on to a more publicized success story (three lions song: eugh) but Rob is my fave and programmes like this need to be viewed by a younger audience, i particularly agree with the world war 1 point he made i never once got a valid explanation for the start of that war, thank you for finally answering that question

  • Legend.

  • Legend.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this!

  • I have definitely found someone new to be searching for materials from. As has already been said in this comment thread, brilliant; his content definitely rawks.

  • Taped this when it was on More4. Genius!! Pure and simple!!

  • I'm not usually into this guy... but I like everything about this film.

  • "We have lived inside the petrol bubble for 100 years -- The petrol bubble is about to burst -- To understand the wars and politics of the last 100 years, we must put oil center stage -- this is rarely done. So why not, here and now?" ... everyone needs to watch this series -- it is perhaps the best explanation of the history of the War in Iraq that I've ever heard.

  • I want to share this with everyone! Its is excellent!

  • GOOD JOB :D

  • The Prize : The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power: Books: Daniel Yergin by Daniel Yergin.
