@austin94G It's not stock then. the 2006 model is exactly like my 2004 model, the only difference is they changed the interior to plain black and gave it a semi ball shaped leather covered shifter. 2004 was the only model year they had the new body style with the previous black and silver mesh interior with gooseneck SE-R shifter. In 2005 the interior went plain black with the aforementioned leather shifter. The 2006 model unfortunately had oil issues because Nissan tried to get cheap.

@austin94G Autobabble aside thats the QR25DE from 2002-2006. The 2007+ version has been tweaked to make 200hp. The ironic part is with a cold air instake and catback exhaust you can have the car make 195hp easy. So in general it only needed more direct airflow to achieve near 200hp without surgery.

And the 2007 + is way better less problem higher compression ration,bigger intake,etc,etc but if you get a 2010 sentra se-r and sentra se-r spec-v really you wont see a difference until you get into the engine cause all the spec-v really has is better tuned cams,exhaust,intake and has a higher comp and 6sp man.

Funny thing is my Spec V gets blown around in windy situations, like really blown around needing both hands on the wheel and carefully driving. I remember one time at a walmart where it was cold and windy I have to be extra carefull not to let the wind push me backwards too fast.

the cobalt ss fucking blows... its a super charger only pushing 210hp and like 200lbft of torque. the 2008 has a turbo charger but still sucks for what its doing. its only at 260 hp and like 240 lbft but its boosting 20psi.... a turbo'd sentra could get 275hp off of 8 psi save the super chargers for the corvettes and dont bother putting a turbo on that shit if your going to make it worthless...
consider the parts moving inside of the engine you fool. you dont just bolt on a blower or turbo and expect the same numbers for all cars. they kept it at 200 for a reason! the rsx-s,civic-si,golf-gti,all have 200hp the spec-v, tiburon gt and srt-4 are around the 200 mark as well. its market strategy, not sheer power.

LP, actually thats incorrect. Turbo and supercharged vehicles ususally have a low compression engine to run boost at safer levels. Which is another reason for lag. so without reving the car is slow. Non-Turbo with High compression they will easily make fast responsive power thats comparable. Not to mention the Spec V has a super short gearing ratio so that helps alot too. But in the end F/I will still make more power vs an NA.
There is nothing incorrect in anything that I said before. Im not saying that a N/A 4 cil y better than a F/I, not at all! Its obiously that a forced induction can rape most *not all* of the n/a 4cil cars. I think the new 07 Spec Vs are pretty sharp and arent bad at all. Just the other day i was wipping around houston in one doing roughly 110 in 5th gear. Plus theres no rev limiter I got that one up to 8k rpm and it didnt complain. all it had in it was the limited slip diff., sunroof, rockford fosgate stereo and short throw 6 spd manual. Their bad ass little cars. Plus you get more room for the money!!!

the s/c on the ss sounds kinda loud. usually when i race them i cant hear them, but i drive a 06 si and the cabin noise is a little loud. lol. good race. i can beat a stock SS by about a half a car or more. from a dig its a lot more.

im telling you, a turbo specv is a great piece of machinery, they can hold there own and surprise alot of people.
luckily the 2nd gen specvs 02-06 are available for as cheap as 4k if you look good enough.

the cobalt ss fucking blows... its a super charger only pushing 210hp and like 200lbft of torque. the 2008 has a turbo charger but still sucks for what its doing. its only at 260 hp and like 240 lbft but its boosting 20psi.... a turbo'd sentra could get 275hp off of 8 psi save the super chargers for the corvettes and dont bother putting a turbo on that shit if your going to make it worthless...

consider the parts moving inside of the engine you fool. you dont just bolt on a blower or turbo and expect the same numbers for all cars. they kept it at 200 for a reason! the rsx-s,civic-si,golf-gti,all have 200hp the spec-v, tiburon gt and srt-4 are around the 200 mark as well. its market strategy, not sheer power.

LP, actually thats incorrect. Turbo and supercharged vehicles ususally have a low compression engine to run boost at safer levels. Which is another reason for lag. so without reving the car is slow. Non-Turbo with High compression they will easily make fast responsive power thats comparable. Not to mention the Spec V has a super short gearing ratio so that helps alot too. But in the end F/I will still make more power vs an NA.

There is nothing incorrect in anything that I said before. Im not saying that a N/A 4 cil y better than a F/I, not at all! Its obiously that a forced induction can rape most *not all* of the n/a 4cil cars. Now wut im saying is that in this video the race for the spec was really good, since he is not F/I, but the Cobalt IS. So obiously the race its not comparable. I think the new 07 Spec Vs are pretty sharp and arent bad at all. Just the other day i was wipping around houston in one doing roughly 110 in 5th gear. Plus theres no rev limiter I got that one up to 8k rpm and it didnt complain. all it had in it was the limited slip diff., sunroof, rockford fosgate stereo and short throw 6 spd manual. Their bad ass little cars. Plus you get more room for the money!!!
