@elguapotetigre - i stayed in Cacao, where my sister/brother in law is. they've been there for a little over 20 yrs. moving from Paris. but they're thinking of going back now that all the kids are grown. all these photos in this slideshow were only from my 2009 trip. i have been there 5 times prior to this 2009 trip. speaking of that, i'm going back next month July, for another 3 months. If you visited Cacao during your trip, you would know the Bakery in Cacao? that was own by my sister.
@asiane Cool! I don't like the trip getting there, all the stops are so exhausting! I might go back when my uncle comes to renew his US citizenship in a few years. I have tons of family in Korossony that moved from France over a decade ago. The bakery in Cacao? I might have missed it, unless you're talking about that restaurant over looking the huge valley?? Cacao was the most interesting spot of my trip. Would have loved to see Javahouey but didn't have time. Did you spend any time in Cayenne?
@elguapotetigre - hmm....sorry, i don't think i've ever respond to your message here. if you don't recalled the bakery then, you must have left before it was there. my sister opened it in 1997. i never spent like weeks in cayenne, but i do go there often with my sisters. i'm sure you know they do all their shoppings there, so yes, i visit cayenne often.
