  • just snaggged a chorus and the distortion BOTH for 150.00 out the door shipping included BOTH new in box!

  • Cool pedal

  • wait, "on a plane"? that would be an airmine.

  • GREAT SCOTT!! this is an awesome vid marty

  • well at least he can keep his hands still

  • mcfly, you butthead

  • I want to meet Paul from Guitar World.

  • Very similar to the Maxon SM-9, if you can find one

  • 3:39 "Let's Hear what death sounds like.." HARHAR!!!

  • i would take it on a plane

  • This pedal actually sounds pretty cool. I might consider this.

  • Its actually so much better then in the demo. I bought one used and its fucking awesome!

  • this guy is prolly a cool guy to get drunk with.

  • MCFLYYY!!!!!

  • lolz!

  • I'm impressed with the power of the sound.

I might just have to get myself a landmine.

  • its nice but bloody expensive

  • Only 200.

  • yeah that sound is the same as the marshall tone he puts this pedal to shame

you gotta eq it better and get some mids into it to have a killer distortion pedal so dont let this review fool you this pedal is awesome

  • 3:39

"so let......s hear what that sounds" XD

  • i think he says death.

  • the metal sound was kinda lame but i like the marshall sound

  • I didn't know Michael J. Fox had a brother! Just kidding! Nice review Paul.

  • lol he kinda sounds like MJF too

  • its all fuzzy.. blech

  • Gay?

  • hey! how much does this pedal cost?

  • Basically nothing, $12-$20

    Great deal

  • Very nice pedal. Makin pedal look like landmine is great idea and the sound is really good.

  • it's assholes like you who make me wonder if people only go to videos to talk shit about the comments. watch the video, shut the hell up, no one gives a shit

  • If those fags "the gods of rock" play landmine pedals, then I will never buy that crap!

  • wow!

  • Thanks for helping plug our band and endorsers. It's always good to see fans get involved. I wouldn't expect that you would buy a pedal anyway. The landmine is a guitar pedal. And you would have to know how to play guitar to use one. But hey, keep practicing brother. You never know when a Jethro Tull cover band might need a flute player. RockOn.

    Peace/Love

    Gizzy

  • he is gay but is one good guitarplayer

  • youre gay

  • you're 4

  • I have this pedal, probably one of the coolest solid state distortions Ive heard. Even through the clean channel of a tube amp, it still doesnt have the balls of the high gain head's overdrive channel though. The mix out actually sounds pretty good, Id rather use this than a POD going direct.

  • i want a pedal that sounds like breaking benjamin, 3 days grace type distortion...ne1 play this type of stuff and got any ideas?

  • no pedal could ever sound like that. you need a head for that.

  • that's totally what it sounds like i bought one ages ago, the pedal was everything a metal player could ask for definitely the best i got it new off ebay for 80 bucks back when it just came out. it sounded great both through my 60 dollar crate practice amp as well as through my 220 watt halfstack. but to be honest it's just like a dozen degrees better than the metalcore by boss.

    -hero

  • but how much does it cost??

  • nice pedal

  • can u use any 9V DC power adapter with distortion pedals?

  • This guy's not gay. His appearance is a little weird, but he makes one of the best rewievs. I like Landmine, but Rocktrons SIlver Dragon, Rocktrons Zombie Rectified and T Rex's bloody mary are better

  • hes gay

  • Greatest Review Ever. This Pedal Rules.

  • Great pedal! :)

You look a little like Michael J. Fox. ;)

  • being that said, I still really like his reviews and he can play the guitar pretty well. well done Mr. Paul rario.

  • this guy has got to be a fag

  • and?

  • he kind of does, but you are right he is good at doing reviews.

  • i still wouldn't take that on a plane...anybody can put a few knobs and some labels on a landmine...you never know!

  • i bought this pedal but sold it few month later.. its really noisy even when ur using noise gate.. save ur money and go for sansamp gt2..its more worth than this donut

  • Dude, you CAN take that on a plane. Thats about as dumb as saying you can't take a picture of a revolver on a plane because they won't like it!

  • For Bebo, he's just got too many lights on his face. Bad light guy.

But I love Paul's reviews. He's very thorough and fun to watch.

  • this guy is as white as casper!

  • can you get a metallica sound from this pedal

  • I was hoping this was something comedic. I think it'd be perfect to plant a landmine in the shape of a distortion pedal at a rival bands show.

  • Just bought one. Very cool piece of kit.

  • That is a cool pedal. Is it buffered or true bypass, anyone? I have a feeling it's buffered.

  • Believe it or not, a tabloid from Berlin, Germany ("BZ") had a foto of this pedal as an example for landmines being used in Afghanistan... great journalism at work.

  • Bring it on a plane Lol, Im overseas and was just thinkin of bringin 1 home...

  • don't fly with it Ahmed

  • what a gay voice does he have :p

  • Landmine?? lol what a commercial and very well find name/look for a guitar pedal (ironic mode on).

  • Whats the cheapest wah pedal? im looking for a starter wah and cheap. any suggestions? please reply on my user channel. thanks!

  • you can get a dunlop crybaby for about 80 bucks canadian in some places man, that's my first wah and I love it.there may be cheaper i dono, check musiciansfriendDOTcom

  • the best starter pedal is the crybaby from dunlop, it's the best you can get for a low price, also, it's the number one selling wah pedal...

  • a good cheap one: behringer hellbabe

  • too bad theres no gain knob. wtf. they cant expect to set it up exactly how we want it....

  • Yes, that's the thing that turned me off.

  • maybe it doesnt have a gain knob but it still has a good variety of sounds on it and everyone loves the marshall amp sound, right?

  • Not me. I think the marshall amps have cheesy sounding distortion.

  • well whatever that basically depends on taste..anyways the fact that you can sculpt your own tones is really great and the sounds which this guy in the video got were really good in my opinion so thats why i would say this is a good pedal..and its only around 90-100$ on ebay

  • The Low Mid and High control let you boost the amount of distortion within those parameters. It's made for the distinctive distortion sound though, so it's not for everyone.

  • after shopping around the innernets for ages and finding the infos on like every distortion pedal, i bought this one because paul is god and he'd never lie!so it came in the mail and it KICKS fkng ass it's so insane, you can get the equalizers do EVERYTHING like a little tweak to it changes your sound so great, if you play it at full treble an stuff I swear your hearing will be damaged for life, i kinda think mine is already you HAVE to get it ebay 80 bucks hell 2 th yeah

    ?y u so koo pol?

    -hero

  • what version is this??

  • he holds the guitar very oddly like a lefty playing right handed lol

  • more like a classical guitar

  • everyone probably overlooks this,

    and it's kind of off-topic..

    but, great guitar player.

    excellent pedal also.

  • sounds good for punk rock

  • i use it dor death metal and it pwns

  • The way he props it up makes it look like an alarm clock...

Awesome tone though, easily one of the best I've heard so far. Saw one at a local guitar store and wow, felt as kickass as it sounds in this video. Not very expensive either.

  • LOL!! BOOM!!!

    Wake the fuck up! =D

  • can it run on battery?

  • yeah

  • yeah

  • hey,

yeah mine has a battery thing in the back

best pedal in the universe no shit.

    -hero

  • lol yeah dont take it on the plane :P Very heavy distortion \,,\ (^o^) /,,/

  • i think this pedal is not great for blues and soft rock ,because you cannot control the amount of distortion

  • you'd be surprised about what this pedal can do

you just have to mess with the knobs a little bit and youll get it i play alot of metal with this pedal but i started doing more lead work and this pedal has the sustain youll need

  • thats heavy

  • who is this made by?

  • Landmine Pedal Co.

  • just check out other pedal demos before you go and buy one. it has a higher pitch then other pedals that are for metal check out the ULTRA LORD.

  • perfect dimbag destortion i gota get 1

  • hey. if anyone could could explain what analog distortion is, that would be great. go ahead call me an idiot. call me stupid. I dont care. im still a bit of a beginner. i think i kind of geet it. if someone could clarify thats all i need. thanks.

  • An analog distortion contains diodes. In order to get teh distortion effect, the diodes are overloaded with power, and they "clip". It's supposed to model the breakup of a valve amp.

A digital distortion just models analog distortion. Digital effects tend to sound very fake and cheesy, so stick with analog.

    Hope I helped. ;)

  • you did. thanks alot. its been killing me.

  • how much is it

  • I got one for $111 $150 brand new.

  • sweet thnx dude guess im gona have to get one lol

  • haha I like how he says you can make a radio sound with it near the end. Any with EQ you can pratically make sound like a radio

  • lol.. i had this really old metal master pedal once... and when the battery got low.. it litterally turned my mini practice amp into an AM radio lol with 1 station.. =p

  • my homemade fuzz pedal does that! But, it'll go away when I actually put it in a shielded box =(

  • Nice...

  • true true!

that other guy at gear wire is drab and sucks at playing!

  • McFly´s reviews rocks.. Gearwire´s reviews SUCKS..

  • yea garwire takes 5 miutes telling you whats in the box and 2 minutes playing

  • i know, stinks

  • cool...

  • "so lets hear what death sounds like" xD

  • MJF Micheal J Foxx plays guitar? Good too!

  • Hell yah! He said fuck you parkinsons, picked up a guitar.

    Kickass

  • I think the parkinsons is helping him play arpeggios!

  • actually, the real michael j fox really does play guitar, and he really is badass at it

  • I would've wanted that he'd played with an Ibanez or another metal suited guitar. Because most of the guitarists out there who plays metal doesn't play with a les paul... Anyway, awesome pedal!!!!!

  • this guy is awesome but ive seen this pedal in action and he does not do this pedal justice

  • for real? because i think he made it sound pretty dam good, if it sounds even better.......wow, im buying one

  • stick with BOSS!!

  • What song is this guy playing in the intro to the this video? or is he just improvising?

  • probably impro

  • Cheers dude - really helpful info in there! Gotta get me one!

  • what shud i get a cry baby or a landmine please tell me

  • if youre talking bout the gcb95: the landmine

  • he looks like ant from ant n dec or dec from ant and deck i dont know the difference but you guys will know what i mean

  • nice gibson les pail there!!!!!!!!

  • i'm a guitariste and my favourite distortion pedals are the BOSS MT-2 MetalZone and the Marshall Jackhammer

  • at least this guy knows how to play

  • so what if he has parkinsons.. he does nice reviews

  • lol he does look a lot like Michael J Fox

  • pretty sweet!

  • "you cannot bring this onto a plane"

  • jus get the EHX METAL MUFF its the only metal pedal u'll ever need trust me!!!!

  • Very true...with that extra top boost, it is an awesome tool!!!

Also has a very nice town.

  • well.. the special about this pedal is a warm sound... prefer for drop tune... mostly other pedal sound to treble.. but this dont... quite good..

  • Why does this guy have such a hard time speaking in all of his video reviews? They're always.......full........of.........unnatural pauses.

  • He has parkinsons..

  • that´s not funny at all.throwing that word around so easy makes me feel sick inside

  • I'm not joking, I'm 99% sure that he does..

I dont find it funny either.

  • yeah i think he does too, or is going to have it soon, since he looks like michael j fox

  • No dude he really does I'm pretty sure.

  • My bad he doesn't I read an idiots blog. ugh

  • You cannot, I repeat, cannot get respectable tone from a transistor distortion pedal. You get a wall of fuzz.

  • fuck, once you fall in love with the new pedal you bought, you dont care if everybody tells you that its a piece of crap, it becomes your best friend. fuck, my wah was stolen and i miss it.........

  • i feel for you

  • wth guys this pedals awesome! it has a cool look and even if u cant change the amount of distortion on it, it has a frickin awesome tone. i have it and it works great.

  • who the fuck he can shred like a MF

  • Well, metal is not the only music he plays. Jack of all trades....master at none.

  • Sounds sweet :O! Could be a little less fuzzy, but nice!

  • i have the boss mt-2 metal zone pedal and its awesome!

sounds alot better than this piece of shit

  • yeah man my pedal chain is a john turser > mt-2 > mt-2 > mt-2 > mt-2 > gorilla 1x15" solid state

    it rips hard!

  • fuzzy piece of shit

  • I totally agree its Crap

  • wow

  • Marty from back to the future on a les paul

  • lol

  • This thing has the most amazing tone i've ever heard in any distortion pedal. I am definitely going to get this thing!

  • fuckin bad ass i like that end tone sounds like a randall

  • IMHO the best sound was the one Paul had at the end. Amazing how that great sound was mainly bottom with the mids and highs rolled off. I always thought the high end was the secret ingredient to killer distortion. I've been taken to school,Thanks Paul!

  • I have one and the thing is sweet, bought it off pedal geek for like $120, and it is a good investment. Sounds good through an amp and even direct into a mixer. Good stuff.

  • LOL DONT BRING IT TO THE PLANE

  • Where can I get one of these? On the internet, I mean.

  • try the pedalgeek site...... pedalgeek dot com ...(youtube dosn allow urls n stuff)

  • Rob Halford is gay, but Judas Priest gets a lot of respect in the metal world.

  • Buy parts to build your own guitar pedals at fuzzboxworld DOT com

  • ok he might be gay, and might not be that good at guitar, but i think we can all agree he is better than the gearwire loser

  • i like this guy, i hate guitarists who put on all this deep voiced, bearded metalhead bollocks when theyre just as much a 'pansy' as this guy.

  • LOL metal is for real people not for gays, you should be playind an arp ahahahah

  • its harp dumbass. And hes not gay

  • Fags are suppose to play acoustic guitars.

  • 1) bet he owns you on the guitar

    2) you cant spell. SupposeDly.

    3) if hes gay is totally irrelevant to his playing

    4) Im a homophobe too (lets admit it society is homophobic people) but at least I know he wont come through the screen and try to hit on me :P

    moral of the story

he might be gayer, but he is also holier than thou art!
