I'm such a "newb" that it's flat out awful, and I am doing a bit of research before investing in my very first kit, or set or whatever you might call it...but good grief, I had no idea that there were devices like THIS. I figured the "Tornado" design or the "Screwdriver" design to get as big as it gets and here I find this .50Cal vaporizing monstrosity. I am thinking that I like this much better than what it is that I have come across as of late. Keep up the kick ass reviews! Good schtuff =)
@Mathemaetica the silverbullet has never let me down - one of my favorite devices out there! also i've got to mention the 6V V3 kit from puresmoker is a great device as well. both are great HV devices! thanks for the comment hope you land yourself an awesome device =]
I should get a web cam jsut to make a video and prove my point, these videos are flat out lies as far as i am concerned. they show must use a new atomizer every time because the silver bullet kills atomizers withing 2 days.
@jackandcokeyummy you definitely should make a video =] i think you're just having bad experiences and everyone's entitles their opinion but in my experience (along with three other people i see every day) the SB does not kill attys like they did for you. my uncle's been on one standard-cheapo-chinese atty for now 5 months running at 6v on the SB. admittedly on my personal SB i blew one atty every month but that also goes with almost every other device i have.
I have used low resistance atomizers regular 510's the silver bullet either needs soo much liquid that it clogs the coil or not enough liquid and the coil burns out...the silver bullet sucks, it is a money trap. The silver Bullet had destroyed 4 atomizers in 3 weeks on me, I know what i am doin, i keep the atomizer wet but they clog the coil withing a few days becasue it vaporizes the liquid too quickly, even at 3.7 it is not nearly as good as these dumb ass videos make it seem.
@jackandcokeyummy its also funny that you said you talked to rob, because he's only the retailer not the maker =] besides your Njoy PRO is a standard ecig - too weak for me, 3.7v standard starter kit lasts maybe and hour of heavy vaping per tiny battery, also the atty's just not for me. i mean hey, its great you found a product you like but you dont have to go around bashing every other product out there. seriously maybe have a bit more of mature mindset =]
I have talked to rob at alt smoke personaly, had my Silver bullet about a month, used pg, vg, mixed liquid, 3.7, 6v low resistance atomizers regualr 510's the silve bullt destroys them all. I have used an NJOY pro starter kit for 4 month those attys are still going strong as day 1. the silver bullet destroys atomizers!
I researched, i have have watch most of the videos on you tube about vapeing i have been to vapers association of America web site to research I have had my SB for about a month before that i had NJOY pro with 2 atomizers that never failed, still work better than any i tried with the silver bullet
the stupid silver bullet made me go back to smoking regular cigarettes because it burnt 2 attys and clogged up 3 more with in a week...SILVER BULLET SUCKS!!!!
@jackandcokeyummy i still think you're just not up to snuff with HV vaping, its not for everybody but for more seasoned vapers, we all know that the SB is an amazing PV - thanks for your view and comment
this is another paid promotion i guess because the silver bullet sucks!! I have burnt out 2 atomizers and need to clean every single atomizer i have tried on my SB. if you dont put enough liquid in the atomizer it burns out with the silver bullet. If you put enough liquid to keep it from burning out it clog the atomizer after one or 2 days. The silver bullet is a huge waste of money, my NJOY pro atomizer when i drip into it produces much more consistent vapor and much cheaper.
@jackandcokeyummy i thnk maybe you're having problems with high-voltage, its yet another learning curve people have to get over. maybe you got some bad attys or just dont know how to really vape HV because my SB, my uncle's SB and my cousins SB are all working flawlessly and i assure you its not a paid promotion. maybe you should take some time and read some forums, watch other reviews before you go bashing on one of only reliable PVs that has an electric switch.
Hey Phee! Is there anyway of modifying the SB for re-dripping. I see ppl unscrewing and dripping and then screwing bak on and repeating the same process. I was thinking of som kind of an extra thin tube part that can hold liquid, gets attached to where it needs to be re-dripped. So all the user has to do is jus press for dripping. Is it possible to make something like that?
there are some mods out there that auto-drip but man i have no clue on how i would devise something like that to attach to the SB =P check out the ECF or VapersForum you'll find one or two out there. thanks for the views and comments =]
just ordered my silver SB yesterday. thanks so much for the review it really helped with my decision. I'll take your advice on removing the wicking threads. you mentioned you got a sleave to make it thinner? know where I can find such a thing? hopefully I'll get it by monday! now I have to get some good flavors to go with it. I'm thinking cola, green tea, and black tea =) peace
i actually accidentally stumbled upon a sleeve that makes it shorter, i dont know where this person got it - i'm guessing that back in the day Rob used carry the SB in two flavors (3.7 and 6.0). I did a trade in the forum and she just happen to send a second sleeve along with the regular sleeve. So i'm sorry i dont kno where to get that sleeve now =/
yes! i love the tea flavors and cola is pretty good too, good choice. thanks for the views and comments! happy vaping!
@phee303 I can't express how much I love this thing. I haven't been able to put it down for more than 15 minutes at a time since I got it lol. I'm getting the 6v batts tonight. woot! the throat hit would get a little rough at times, i just now dug around and took the wicking threads out, and wow what a difference! they really burn the vapor I could tell by just how black they were. I never suspected an attie could affect the flavor so much. Thanks again for your advice I own you one!! :)
Sorry for the double post but... try pulling back the plastic just a LITTLE on the battery that touches the spring. The reason it doesn't vape is likely because of loss of contact at the spring. I have 3 sets of batteries, each with one that has the plastic pulled back so it makes full contact. Works every time, no unscrewing needed!
kool vid, So how do u take the fiber threads out? sorry im new to this whole e cig tech, i like to know how u do the re-dripping and how long does the vapor last before the next set of drops for the silver B.
it's kind of difficult to describe how to take the threads out and the process is so small i probably couldn't describe it on video but i'll try to one day. (the threads are under the bridge)
as for the dripping, it just depends on your atty: i go 3drops/510 & 901 and about 5drops for the 801. You know its out when the vapor starts to taste bad/burnt. Dripping is something that should come naturally, just put a couple drops onto the bridge and start vaping =)
hahaha yes! those damn fiber threads bug the hell out of me.
my CR123A's at 3v are rated at 750mah but they last long enough for me, i also have some some 3.6v and 3.7v CR123As that are rated at 1000mah but i dont use them in my SB i fear they'll fry an atty or even worse blow my switch so i've avoided those higher voltage batteries =P
If that happens with the misfiring, take the silver bullet and bump the bottom on your leg or something. If you put it together and it misfires, you can just bump it a little and the batteries should hit the spring at the bottom again. :P

After all the trouble I had with my Prodigy I'm so thankful that I came around and ordered a Smooth Black Silver Bullet.
Great review man, let us know if you run in to any problems (I betcha 5 bucks you won't!)

nope, not at all, the silverbullet hasn't given me any trouble at all and i still stand by it as the best six-volt device for your money =]

I thought I was the only one that noticed those threads, If I don't remove them I get a sore throat. After I removed them no more sore throat!
This is definitly my everyday device. Now when I vap 3.7v it's very lame! So 6v is now the only way I vape.
What mAh do you use? I just ordered some 900 mAh CR123a's. I think that's the highest mAh you can get for the CR123a's?
Thanks for all the great reviews!
Take Care!
