  • Richard Dawkins is a prick and I admire him. Sir Ian is a saint and I adore him.

  • imagine ian as a professor........YOU SHALL NOT PASSSS!!!

  • Gandalf the Gay

  • @pramusio hahahaha yep

  • It's impossible to not like him :)

  • How's Gundalf his brother ?

  • Someone should give him a party as Moses! and see what happens!

    Gay? comeon

  • I am much more Gandalf than this guy!

  • 12 x-men and 11 orcs dislike this video

  • Gandalf does such a good impersonation of Ian McKellen, astonishing!

  • he looks so wonderfully mystical, what an extraordinary man

  • Wow Gandalf/Magneto/Dumbledorf is so cool and smart. Not to mention immortal.

  • @maxkilla69 He doesn't play dumbledore..

  • @maxkilla69 He's not dumbledore...

  • @maxkilla69 Richard Harris and Michael Gambon play Dumbledore...

  • I dont like her face. She asked him about his sexuality and then she asked "so youre staying at peter jacksons house?" just a straightforward pry into his life which prompted sir ian to mention peter's wife would be there, and he was there to visit and see all these other people. And then she stared him down that whole time with just the most expectant, piercing, judgmental face. The media is a wicked thing. No respect, I can see it in her face, I can hear it in her questions.

  • @HuckleberrySlim a person who works 8 hours a day for a company like any other has human expectations, curiosities, and emotions? how dare she!

  • @DrQuailMan lol yeah....I mean Ian's a seasoned vet so he has thick skin, and I can't say for sure exactly how he feels when people peer into his private life....but it's uncomfortable to watch him have to clarify things like that, as if it were ever her or anybody's business in the first place....yeah he is there in the chair answering questions....its just....as an interviewer I would be curious about much different things than that is all....everybodys different

  • Im pretty conviced god dosent hate homosexuality. Its has most likely been added to the bible later.

Yes, im a believer, not a fundamentalist. Problem?

  • he is a very kind, and handsome man. I wish him a very fine day

  • Dam,his acting career started at the age of 49,and he is one the greatest actors ever, that just shows that u can do watever u want with ur life, and live ur dream,if u work hard

  • Ian McKellen is an interesting person and a brilliant actor!

  • the*

  • The bible. What a useless tome. Full of brainwashing ideas for the ignorant and weak.

We come from oblivion. We will return to oblivion. There is only this life. Enjoy it without attacking others on their journey as life is hard enough.

But worth it. If you're strong enough.

  • @Treyb3yond where's your proof to that matey?

  • @starwars910 Proof? religion is the thing that needs proof. If you think that somehow we survive our own death and go to some fluffy paradise where all our relatives are waiting with open arms, you need to wake up and stop living in Shrek land!

    Proof, LOL!

  • @Treyb3yond Oh my.....your are such an idiot, there is no way to prove that he exists or that he doesn't so sthu and stop trying to act smart...

  • @starwars910 So, what you are saying is that religion is worth as much consideration as the tooth fairy? (that can't be proven or disproven)

In that case I agree. :-)

  • @Treyb3yond No, hes saying it's worth as much consideration as love. If someone who you loved said to you, "prove that you love me", you couldn't do it, but you still do.

  • @udun93 How you treat somebody is a hint. Anyway, wtf are you on?

  • @Treyb3yond A hint but it's not proof. You would treat a girlfriend, but many people would say that they don't love them.

I am not on anything, I am sick and tired of people ripping into my religion, and imposing their beliefs on me. I don't care if you're an atheist, just don't try to make me one

  • @udun93 Oh....you're religious. Well, there's not much point in having any rational conversation with you then. End.

  • @Treyb3yond Funny. I can have rational conversations, but not with pricks who just attack my religion for no good reason eg. yourself. I would agree that alot of the Bible is full of shit, but i believe in enough of it to be a Catholic

  • Comment removed

  • I have plenty of good reasons. Like the wars religion causes. The devision it causes. The ignorance it spreads. The inequality it promotes. The lies it peddles. The children it indoctrinates.

There are so many reasons to attack religion it's impossible to list. If you wish to remain ignorant, that's your problem.

  • @Treyb3yond Yeah, it's caused wars, but so has thesimple desire for power, riches and recognition. Yes, it causes division, but only in people who wish to see it like that. Indeed, you are causing a further, unnecessary division. Ignorance? Yeah, there are ignorant people, who believe all of the Bible, but they are few, and many christians scorn them. Inequality? The teachings of Jesus spread equality! Lies, i would agree with you, are rife, but that is human failing.

  • @udun93 Can you please explain anything in the bible and the belief in fairy tale (i.e. made up by man kind) stores of magical happenings it wouldn't be ignorant to believe?

You think people rise from the dead??

The thing is, the bible (as your religion teaches) is the word of God. It is either true, or it isn't.

    It isn't.

Sorry to have to break it to you.

  • @Treyb3yond I'd love to torture you in order for you to plead God to save you, only for me to say "Pity, I'm an Atheist" and kill you.

Then I live out your dreams and fulfill it and you can't do anything about it because there's no such thing as the supernatural :)

  • @Treyb3yond And finally, many "indoctrinated" children, such as myself, soon learn that they have there own choice, can believe what they want. I would hope that you do not call me ignorant just because I have a faith, that would be ironically ignorant of you! I am well aware that there are failings in all faiths, but that doesn't mean the central philosophy is bad. A priest once said to me "never get the Church and Christianity confused", and this is true.

  • @udun93 Your "faith" isn't the real worlds fact. It's just for you and you alone.

I prefer the hard truth to reassuring fables. I don't need "faith" in the supernatural and unproven stories of magical happenings to live a fulfilling life. I don't need it to be a moral person either.

If you read a book called "The God delusions" you'd actually see how silly all this religious stuff actually is. But I'm guessing (like most religious faith heads) you don't want to.

    Ignorance is bliss I guess.

  • @Treyb3yond Give me said "hard truths" and i'll tell you if i believe in them. As I have said, I agree that there are a lot of silly things in religion, but that doesn't mean I don't believe in Jesus. You are ignoring these points, and only picking up on the ones that further your argument. As for your book, let me try this. If you read a book called "The Bible", you'd see how the foundations of a faith are pure, and good, nothing to be hated. But i'm guessing (like most athiests) you won't.

  • @udun93 The hard truth is we aren't special. We are not central to the Universe. We are apes stuck on a spinning ball of rock and iron attracted to the gravitational pull of our star. There is no other purpose to our lives than what we make for ourselves and to reproduce. These are the facts, no matter how many stories mankind may invent in his infinite arrogance.

There may well have been a man named Jesus, it's even probable, but to suggest he was supernatural with no proof is a joke.

  • And the original intentions of the bible was to introduce some kind of law to live by to keep people in line. Putting fear into them and some kind of moral code to live by was essential before the time of organised policing and enforcement. Seems obvious to me....

  • @Treyb3yond Maybe it was. Are you against law and order?

  • @udun93Depends if you are talking about modern law and order which is designed for the modern world, or 2000 year old, myth based rules, which has many dubious laws against women and such.

Sorry, the bible is just one more of the arrogant, theological and idealogical religions which is bound to be forgotten sooner or later, just like Zeus was. Who believes in Zeus now days?

At one time he was the god of gods! You don't find that slightly suspicious?

  • @Treyb3yond Well, God hasn't been forgotten, because the people who believe in him havent been forced to forget about him by conquerors, like the believers in Zeus. Also, the simplest ideas of Greek mythology wasn't comforting, wasn't nice. Zeus was a bit of a bugger, screwing everything he took his fancy to. And I know we aren't special, I know that we are just a part of Earths evolutionary past. But I also think we were the first creatures to appreciate God. Ach, can we just agree to disagree?

  • @udun93 Zeus sounds quite a bit like the God of the old testament.....he got nicer in the new testament, which is a testament to how untrue it all is really.

    But it's up to you.

  • @Treyb3yond This is true, and it's up to you as well. On another note, I totally disagree that gays are wrong, and I agree with Sir Ian in ripping out the page that has it on

  • @udun93 You should read more into science, I recommend Carl Sagan and a book called the God delusion.

It would give you a more informed choice before believing wholesale in such things without prior evidence.

  • @Treyb3yond I would've said that the whole point of faith is that it doesn't need proof, but you know, I actually might, but I won't read any Dawkins. He is just a hater, and doesn't bring anything useful to the argument

  • @udun93 Don't discount Dawkins. For all of his harsh ways he is actually a brilliant scientist and writer. If you read that one book, it puts forward some fantastic and very logical points. On the flip side I have read many books putting forward the religious argument but they were left somewhat wanting on the logical side of things.

My mind is open to possibilities, but before putting faith into something, for me is must not be blind faith.

  • @Treyb3yond Dawkins is a great social scientist if you believe in biological determinism and reductionist views of humanity. I think dawkins is a prick personally, and he's only used as a tool by those who want to feel like they're above other people by accepting his grade of secularism without knowing fully what it means or what it implies/assumes.

  • @PyroChemicals2 Some might say he "reduces" humanity, other, more realistic thinking people say that religion puts humanity on an undeserved pedestal of self importances, arrogance and ignorance.

Depends on how you view factual imformation!

  • @Treyb3yond Sir, I think it is neigh time you review your glossary book of termonology and make a second response to my initial comment.

  • @PyroChemicals2 Sir, I think you've misunderstood. You think I'm using your words in my own context, you're incorrect. But you have no need to convince me you are intelligent, I already know this. Which makes it all the more perplexing to me that you buy into dogma and religious ideas used to fool the masses.

  • @Treyb3yond I don't buy into "religious ideas used to fool the masses" and I cannot see how I ever said that here. I'm areligious, I don't have one. Modern atheism has become dogmatic (even as a child I used to keenly wear the atheist badge and question religious friends), that is my problem with it. It has become less about a concern of scientifically and deductively scrutinizing thought, and more about witch-hunting anyone who thinks something that isn't liked by the atheistic status quo.

  • @PyroChemicals2 Whatever you wish to call it, it's still faith. The problem with faith and spirituality and so forth is that it's based on nothing. Just a "gut feeling" or a poor deduction of attempted logic.

As for atheism, I'm agnostic, so I'm not too conceded about what atheists do or do not do.

  • @Treyb3yond Yeah, but as an atheist, how do you "just know" that all thinking currently unsupported by science is automatically poorly thought out? You don't. That's an assumption of grand judgment on a lot of people at once. The science needed to verify the thinking is correct might just not be there yet. The atheist dilemma is that in order to maintain status quo they simply don't think at all about something in case it is wrong. I barely see how this is progressive or rational whatsoever.

  • @PyroChemicals2 I'm agnostic.

Nobody said certain ways of thinking are poorly thought out, whether they are true or not though is another thing entirely. A great story is not poorly thought out, no amount of science will prove a great fiction to be true though, no matter how much you'd like it to be. The Bible even sounds fictitiious.

  • @Treyb3yond you still seriously have no idea what you are talking about. I've explained many times I'm not a christian and have no intention of "liking" the bible to be true. Read my fucking comments and please feel free to tell me exactly what I think and why, I've run out of patience trying to explain myself.

  • @PyroChemicals2 I wasn't using the Bible in reference to you, but in reference to the debate.

Ideas or ways of thinking need evidence, or where are we? in story land.

  • @Treyb3yond So you're saying everything is fiction if it hasn't been proven yet. That's different from saying parties other than a claimaint cannot possibly rationally believe something until it is proven to them as well. You are going over your own head by saying that someone believes in fiction if it hasn't been proven. Hundreds, even thousands of years of observations now objectively considered science only made sense to one observer. That did not mean the observer was automatically deluded.

  • @Treyb3yond Ignorance is bliss

  • @Treyb3yond Hmm, I always wanted to be a mass murderer. Will you give me the honor of becoming my first murder victim?

  • @TheGr8scott n levels. And it is very very wrong.

    You are no different from

Them, apart from your views on homosexuality ...

  • @thegr8scott it's very unreasonable and wrong to call other people who have different views to sexuality lesser people, the are just as important as you no matter what there sexual preferance is, you disgust me. If anyone is a lesser being it's you for your atrocious views of peoples feelings private or not.

The world is enigmatic and pure in particular subjects and one that isn't is the subject of discrimination and racism, you have proven to discriminate. Discrimination is illegal on certai

  • @2kballa13 Morons? They're promoting equality, and you call them morons?

  • @Danzilla1996 Yes, because people who are of the same gender and trod on those who oppose their ways are promoting equality.

  • @Hitmonchan107 Why? Becuase you are too stuck in your primal ways to accept they're people too, mr wannabe serial killer?

  • @Danzilla1996 Lol hypocrisy at its finest.

  • @Hitmonchan107 Mehbe..... *sniff* mehbe....

Nah, just messin'. But seriously, why do people hate on gays? It makes no damn sense.

  • @Danzilla1996 Oh, it actually makes a LOT of sense.

See, if the gay gene if proven to exist, and if it falls into the wrong hands, then maybe your kid can be injected with it and not continue your dynasty. It's a massive panic worldwide. I myself don't like gays not because of that but because they're so damn public and mainstream and people think it's some sort of lifestyle like being emo or gangsta. Also kids get some suggestion from it and might turn gays themselves like they can turn bad.

  • @Hitmonchan107 You's a bigot, I can see. Beign gay is how someone is born and is due to numerous biological factors, much like an adaptation or how a mindset occurs, not due to it being a fad. And not everyone can or will be gay- it happens due to something with the body and pheromones or soem bullshit like that. It's completely outside of our control, so have no fear. You just need to stop being a bigot.

  • @Danzilla1996 Oh, so whatever I feel about certain people makes me a bigot? Then why don't you say that to the Atheists who want to eradicate religious people? Like I said, hypocrisy.

  • @Hitmonchan107 I don't give a flying fuck about atheists. I'm talking to you and your bigotry. I dislike your attitude towards gays and your stupid, pointless hate.

Am I a hypocrite? Perhaps, but why should I care when I've got a dumbass to argue with?

  • @Danzilla1996 I like how you label me as a dumbass when you haven't posted YOUR very own version of why am I a filthy, despicable bigot. Hate isn't pointless when someone pisses you off :)

  • @Hitmonchan107 And the gay supporters pissed you off I presume?

  • @Danzilla1996 They're one portion of people who piss me off.

  • The problem lies in the fact that people accept what really is a widely accepted misinterpretation of the Bible based off an agenda of the Church. The back story of the verse of which he spoke was for the Israelite's not to observe as in Egypt and Canaan Baal(fertility god) worship which involved straight men having sex with each other as a religious practice to the fertility god.

Misinterpretation not unlike the Catholic Church using the story of Onan to condemn masturbation.

  • Woah...hes gay???? God damnit...

  • Ian is brave making it public that he is gay and it has evidently got rid of a lot of emotional baggage. It definitely helped his acting, he is now one of the best actors in the world. He was very convincing as Gandalf, in fact I think he was the only person who acted well in those movies. I am glad he is tearing up bibles in hotels. He seems to be a lot more genuine than those American types.

Christians: I am not gay and still think he is awesome, so there.

  • He looks quite a lot like Tchaikovsky in his fifties.

  • Good for him. Burn the whole damn bigoted hate-filled book.

  • Isn't Leviticus part of the Old Testament.. therefore not part of the New Testament.. which is the bible ?

  • @ddelfao Well, most Christians I know consider both parts combined to be 'The Bible'. What else would they be? No matter though, they're both fictional.

  • @XxShadowlingxX They're.part.of.the.Torah.now.that.I.checked.lol.my.bad.Oh.&.they're.fictional.in.your.opinion,not.in.mine:)I.respect.other.people's.beliefs,&I.think,in.order.to.bring.peace,you.should.respect.other's.opinions.too.Sorry,my.keyboard's.space.bar.does.not.work:(.&Thank.you.for.your.answer:)

  • "So I remove it."

Why do I just crack up when he says that part?

  • put money in thy purse?

  • Why can't all TV anchors have such epic moustaches?

  • If you don't like something in the bible, you cannot simply remove it. And because you remove the page, doesn't mean that the commandment goes away, it simply means that you have defiled the bible. Which is a very ignorant, and immature thing to do...he is a good actor though!

  • @fightingthetide44

the bible is a very ignorant immature document that defiles people. Makes good tinder though.

  • @fightingthetide44 Believing in the things the bible says is a very ignorant and immature thing to do.

  • @KeybladeRiku1 well i was only talking about ripping pages out, not in ,believing it or not. To rip a page out of any religious book simply because you don't believe, or like it, is disrespectful I don't go up to gay people and smack em with the bible and call em names, cause that's disrespectful as well. So you see if gays want peoples respect they cant be disrespectful themselves. And ripping pages out of the bible is very disrespectful....plus why do you say the bible is ignorant and immature

  • He also removed the part, "You have no power here, Gandalf the Grey"

  • trips will be made

  • baller

  • Wtf Telemundo! I Dont wanna see your foreign shows!

  • @minato12100 and Magneto

  • i was gonna post my opinion but then i thought "anyone who disagrees with me is too stupid to understand anyway"

    so i wont

  • lol at the lady gaga advert for "born this way" album at the beginning youtube

  • Ok being gay doesn't have anything to do with your personality. If there is an asshole straight guy then there is an asshole gay guy, there are feminine straight guys and feminine gay guys, it's only a part of you not entirely you though. So being gay has nothing to do with anything except that you're attracted to the same sex.

  • 14 people can't handle Sir Ian McKellen's honesty.

  • Being more feminine or masculine doesn't make a man any less of a man.

  • I'd let him rape me in the ass any day of the week.

  • Do people actually read hotel bibles?

  • Frodo Teabagins imo

  • opps he fell in love with frodo LOLOLOL

  • It would almost be better if nobody else did this. That way, if you ever find a bible with this page removed, you know He has been there :P

  • Always always always fap in the hotel gideon. Your welcome christians.

  • Fuck that, I would just wipe my arse with the Bible.

  • Dear Ian, you missed a couple of versus:

    Lev 18:22

    Lev 20:13

    Rom 1:26-28

    1Cor 6:9-10

    1 Tim 1:10

Actually, now that I think of it, just take out everything between the two covers.

  • @AtheismandSkepticism You're so ignorant. This is the 21st century. You disgust me. I'm ashamed to call myself a christian because of vile scum like you.

  • @AtheismandSkepticism Ugh you're so right. That vile book causes more harm in this world then it does good.

  • @AtheismandSkepticism well clearly if you're so keen to tear out pages this shows that you're feeling guilty about those passages; there would be no need to remove anything if you didn't feel guilt. Busted, all of you people.

  • @azraelsnemesis Or possibly he is understanding that all forms of hate and discrimination based on something as ridiculous as whom you're attracted to shouldn't exist, the statement that Paul makes in Leviticus when he says "Their blood shall be on their heads." Is despicable and not holy at all. A matter of fact it states that someone who 'sins' like that is supposed to be killed. Isn't that against the 10 commandments? Bigots

  • @AtheismandSkepticism Not necessarily. I feel that some of the stories depicted in the bible might be true, but alot of the beliefs held by the men who wrote the bible are nonsense.

  • GANDALF THE MOTHERFUCKING WHITE!!!!!

  • One of my fave actors! Sir, you're great!

  • epic moderator moustache!

  • He should have been Dumbeldore!

  • he was perfect in that movie :D

  • Does anyone else have an advert for bibles next to this video? I don't think this is the best marketing scheme.

  • I can't wait to start doing that to bibles in hotels.

I love you Sir ian Mckellen!

  • Come here sexy give me a kiss magneto

  • The Bible's a dirty, filthy book.

  • @cuallito Lev is god awful (see what I DID there), don';t judge the whole thing on that section.

  • what a good looking man

  • God he looks like Ron Paul

  • is he not the most handsome old man.

  • 11 ppl Shall Not Pass

  • Ian Mckellen has the best accent in the world

  • I did not know he was gay , but for some reason I have even more respect for him now , I really admire people who come up for the rights of lesbians , gays , bisexuals and transseksuals .

He is a great actor , one of the greatest of our times if I may and dare say so .

  • @ElectTheDeadBelgium lol you put a stewie spin on the transexual word.

  • Ian is one of the best actors in the world, possibly of all time. Cannot wait to see him in the Hobbit. He does not "play" characters, he becomes them.

  • @lefsepowered you should watch his section on the show extras...I don't know if you were referring to that or not.

  • living EActors, GEAndalf,

    i hate kiwi accent

  • I love ian mckellen!! :D

  • @AngelDustUS no, only Sauroman could, but he lost

  • who cares if he is gay, his awesomeness cancels it out

  • @IchigoBankai01 Fuck you! So much! Cacels it out?! Again, FUCK YOU!

  • @IchigoBankai01 dude theres nothing to cancel out, who gives a shit

  • All this time I had no idea. Gandalf the Gay.

  • HE WOULD MAKE A GREAT DEVON MILES IN A KNIGHT RIDER REMAKE!!

  • The host looks like Von Kaiser, doesn't he ...

  • Is he gay? :(

  • @gkabc123 Why do you have to make a sad smiley?

  • @gkabc123 What's with the sad face?

  • I LOVE THE VOICE OF HIS MOUTH !

  • i would've never thought he was gay

  • Oh I'm well aware of that possibility :)

I just wish more of them would come out, lol.

  • i will always remember him as that kind , joyful , and bad ass old man called gandalf

  • @minato12100 And i will remember him as Magneto XD

  • @minato12100 You will be reminded of that once again when The Hobbit comes out :)

  • <3 Sir Ian Mckellen

  • @percheron1654 cause nobody can match up to Ian McKellen

  • @Stevie2Sxc Sad face :(

  • @percheron1654 You've prbly talked to gay men who seemed straight, because if people like Ian never told you, you'd never know. Think about it.

  • Comment removed

  • @percheron1654 what a stupid comment u left percheron1654

  • @FIGHTFANNERD3 lol, stfu.

  • @percheron1654

there are lot of manly gay ... not like him (i dont think there is an second ian)

but there are. you just dont see them becaus u would expect that they are gay...

  • @percheron1654 because people have been conditioned to think homosexuality is wrong. whats even more fucked up is homosexuality is a natural part of nature and is found in pretty much every species where seed and sperm are needed to reproduce. what does that tell you? that maybe homosexuality is a part of life and if anything its natures way of controlling population in the most humane of ways. whats so wrong about that?

  • @ecafredrummailliw You heard it here first, folks. Abnormalities are part of life.

First of all, fuck you. Don't use that defense. It's retarded. What you should be making a point for is that this is discrimination against people who were born a certain way. Natural or not, we protect people who are born incomplete or otherwise with faults. Midgets. Are they abominations in the bible? They'd better be, or else they'll have some explaining to do on why homosexuality is worse than shortness.

  • @TheCheezWizz Coming from a family of two fathers and having a sibling who turned out to be gay I'm pretty open minded about the subject seeing as how it's been a part of my life since I was born. What I was saying is the simple fact that it's found in nature SO much the whole idea of being "born gay" SHOULD be more accepted and people shouldn't turn it down. Sure it's a choice but most of the time it's not because you have felt that way YOUR ENTIRE LIFE and it feels normal. So no fuck you.

  • @ecafredrummailliw Wait, are you saying it's a choice, or not a choice? I got kind of lost there...

  • @horrorfinatic to some people it is but what im saying is homosexuality is such a normal part of nature to the point that some of us are born gay. so there should be no discrimination. gay, straight either way you are still a normal human being. that's all i was saying to that asshole @TheCheezWizz but apparently i'm just a fucking idiot lol.

  • @ecafredrummailliw Well, I personally can't think of anyone who would choose to be gay. Not because it's wrong, but because in the horrible world we live in they are discriminated against and in some places even killed for these things. Do you actually know somebody who's chosen to be gay?

  • @ecafredrummailliw And here I was trying to defend you, you stupid piece of shit.

Leave the internet. You're fucking everything up for everyone else with your nonsense arguments that would never hold.

  • @TheCheezWizz yea it didnt seem like it when you were blatantly calling homosexuality an "abnormality".

  • @ecafredrummailliw And it is, you literal cock sucker. Now we know you're just an idiot willing to drag people draw with flawed logic instead of things that would actually lend them more credibility
