I had this fucking virus on my system. It messed really hard with XP i.e. it would not allow me to see hidden files and folders(option was deactivated). I was using the free avira antivirus at the moment. After that I formatted and installed eset 4 antivirus which seems to be dealing woth it quite effectively. I believe that almost every antivirus can deal with it today

It only affects Windows users...There are 5 versions of it. It is self updating! To install the patch that the malware exploits, search for "MS08-067" in Google or enable Automatic Update. (Patching a system does NOT remove the nasty. You still need to clean!)

Anyone using Linux, Mac OSX, etc aren't affected as this specifically targets Windows systems.
