As a financial fraud investigator who has attended some of the seminars "franchised" to the Rich Dad book, I have to say, he has not been careful or watchful of the people who he has sold his name and rights to. There are a bunch of people running around the nation selling real "crap", and claiming to be representing Rich Dad or his principles. This I have seen have been pure garbage. Google the names and research what people are saying on the net. You will learn a lot about scamming.

Just for you young guys out there finding Robert's work and getting started. Only read Rich Dad Poor Dad. It's a good book. Everything else is Robert trying to scam you. This guy makes his money off getting people to sign up for his "training seminars" and then upselling you to hiring a personal coach to help you become a millionaire. Here's the catch, the coach that you are hiring is working for probably around 40K a year and is just going to upsell you on more products. Just a warning...

I've read a few of his books and while I initially liked them, there was a growing unease. A lack of specifics. Was it just me being stupid? Someone else here pointed me to a website: JOHN T REED. Seriously guys, google it. The truth about this guy is scary stuff! For anyone wishing to slag me off for not worshipping kiyosaki, don't get the wrong picture of me as some unemployed tramp. I have my own business, I am studying for a financial degree and I'm a keen trader. This guy is a crook!!

Not that I'm hating on him, he should just lie about things that can't easily be disproven. Like his statement that 100k in 2006 has the buying power of 50k in 1996. That's complete crap. it's $63k.

Thanks Robert Kiyosaki for being ahead of the curve in economic forecasting. I remember when I bought a house in 2005 that it was a boom year and not to buy high. I've been through at least six recessions that I can remember, and timing the market is tough, but very rewarding! Optimism or pessimism (long term) doesn't work in economic forecasting, rather staying true to the indicators of what the market is doing.
