I made something similar, but what i did was just mount legs to an SG xD Works like a charm, i even put lights in both legs so when i play it shines through the top of the legs !
What a beautiful guitar, make sure you label the guitar at the antilosta website just in case you loose it one day, I have all my valuables labeled with antilosta and recently had an expensive camera returned back to me after having lost it away from home in one of my gigs.
Alexi was going to play guitar for Hypocrisy during their North American tour. I doubt he'd play for someone who stole his riffs. Besides, Peter Tägtgren, the man behind Hypocrisy, is one of Alexi's idols. He has his own studio, and production credits on over 90 albums, including 2 Bodom albums.

Because its hard to come across Alder boards that are 16" wide. And when you do happen to find lumber that size, the prices can be pretty high. Even most body blanks sold by companies online are around 14" or so wide, for a normal shape body. For an RR you need close to 15.5" at the bottom.
Nice job!!! I was trying to do a template based on a photo, but, now that I found your video, can you also send me the dimensions on the Jackson? Thanx
This is cool man. About 18 years ago my friend and I built our own guitars too. Mine was a very thin Strat® with a real Charvel® neck off a model 1. But his was a 6/12 double neck Jackson® V !! He sold it to a guy in an Alice Cooper cover band lol! I would like to see it again someday.
Thanks dude. I was gonna go with a Warmoth neck actually, but I found another company that had a Jackson style neck that was cheaper and good quality, so I went with them. I've never seen a double V before, I bet that was awesome :)
Do you have a place to do this stuff (i.e. cut wood and all) or are you doing it with what you got? (like me, building my guitar in the laundry room, LOL)
Great video, I turned a "peavey raptor plus" into a "ibanez jem-555" but mine doesn't have the floyed rose or the gold hardwear. :( It turned out alot beter than I though it would.
thats nice matt i have also a sort of jackson model and i must tell you the play great and the feel great yea keep on the good work you can better work in a guitar shop ^-^
dude thats awsome lol i was thinking about getin a jackson after i herd some stuff about them and tryed one of my friends out but i dont really feel like spending that much money lol but i cant wait to see what this comes out like when finished cuz i bet it will be godly
do you have instructions you are going by? also how money will you save doing it yourself? you have peaked my interest :) might have to try this myself!
thanks scbene!! I don't really have any instructions. I used a picture of a Jackson RR, and brought it up to scale. Then I made a template out of plywood. I'm just going by the seat of my pants. I have around $200 in this project, and its using the same exact wood that jackson uses on their $1000 RR's.
dude matt ur SMART :) instead of wastieng like 500 dollers or more i dunno know much the guitar cost but thast alot cooler AND smarter i hope it works :) good
kickass dude!!! but i woulda went with a floyd rose, just my opinion. i'm eager to see the finished product. i'm planning to do the same thing, but neck-through with an ESP style headstock, that is, as soon as i get enough cash
thanks dime. I prefer a hardtail for my style. Better tuning stability and tone. I don't do much lead anyways. I'll eventually try a neck through, but I'm just a rookie at this right now, and I'll save that for later. Good luck with yours dude, And i'll try my best to record tommorow :)
Hey man, I'm really sorry for asking this, but is it possible for you to send me the dimensions for the guitar? I would really appreciate that
