How come sailor guy, a minor character, has a nice voice, but the main characters sound amateur? Maybe Burton told them to sing badly on purpose, in an attempt to make Depp look straight despite the way he's dressed, or maybe it's an attempt to appeal to today's audience that inexplicably hates real singing. That's why he tried to hide the fact that the movie was a musical in his ads. Why is it that it's difficult to even HEAR the words over the orchestra? This movie is torturing me.

Ahh. Me too, until I saw it about a year ago :D

It's actually not that bad. In the movie, the blood actually looks orange =/ (kinda like tomato sauce or something). I think it was because Tim Burton didn't want the beauty of the song taken away by all the killing, so he purposely made it look fake so he could preserve the movie as a musical and not as a slasher film...

But that's just a guess. (It could've been because they couldn't make it look real no matter how hard they tried :P)
