The Jewish people are great and should be honoured, yet Israel I think shouldn't be. The Jews are nomads if going by the Torah, so they should not have a state, and especially one that commits war crimes.

And this song is just absolutely beautiful! I love it, and it really gets into my being. It's so pure, and so well-meaning and speaks of hope from dispair. I really feel energetic even as an atheist gentile. It makes me respect the Jewish people all around the globe.

We sat next to each other at the Museum in Tel Aviv on Nov. 27, 2008. My husband had been sitting there 60 years earlier at Ben Gurion's feet when the UN voted for Partition and the creation of the State.

I cry every time I hear the Hatikva. Thank you.

There is one major major huge tremendous flaw with your wonderful Hatikvah. for some strange reason, you left G-D out of the picture. didn't he and doesn't he have something to do with Israel being able to be this "am chofshi"? Maybe if you let him back into the Israeli dynamic of the country, it will truly become an eretz and am chofshi. If anything, the lack of G-D in the song brings tears to my eyes and heart.
