  • She redid and redid this song with different versions and was never happy with any of them, including the finally released version. But she did not give up! I think EVERY version she did is outstanding.

  • UN TEMPO PER...... prosegue con un'altra bellissima di Connie, grazie al video di "wjhmosa"

  • WOW! What a VOICE!

  • No auto-tune needed on connies songs .....

  • Yessss ... Noone can can step into Connie's shoes... She is a real ICON!!!

Connie ya voice says it all... ya are absolutely blessed with such an amazing voice.Deeply thank-you for ya lovely melodies thoughout the dacades... My 1st love dear Connie was ... where the boys are... and like all 1st love they make a grand print in our hearts and soul.

...The BEST SOUND is yours MATE :-) ... my golden 5stars for ya are up there already!!!...

    ... Greetings from Budapest

  • I favor this version and the steel guitar version over the version released on 45 as the B side of Where The Boys Are.

  • Absolutely vanguard! But then again, a lot of things today are laughable by comparrison.

  • I love this version...is it released on any CD??

  • It is Releases in 1993 in a five cd box called, WHITE SOX, PINK LIPSTICK & STUPID CUPID by the record company BEAR FAMILY.

  • What a fabulous voice : full of power, accuracy, and a flawless ability to hit and sustain top notes. I always liked this song, and this version is terrific. In my opinion,Connie`s voice was never equalled by any of her contemporaries, and today`s so-called "stars" are laughable by comparison.

  • @vanguard1952 and unlike alot of stars of today and back then, connie sounded as good live as she did in the studio, nowadays u take these singers out of the studio let them sing live, they are off key and sound nothing like they do on the recordings

  • @joeyjosephs Apparently you're absolutely right. The musicians who worked with her described her live performances as "dynamite." I saw her live at The London Palladium in 1989,but she had a throat infection and really struggled. Parts of the concerts are posted on Youtube, and attract negative comments (understandably),but she knew her audiences had waited nearly 30 years to see her,so bravely decided to perform rather than disappoint.

  • @vanguard1952 i know Connie and she is a beautiful person both in and out. and she still has that voice. there are moments when she is singing live u can close ur eyes and hear the old Connie Francis from the 60's... but when she sings on a recording, it is with all her heart behin dit, she makes u believe in person the many times i have seen her perform, she sounds as good or better then on her records, and to the point she gave me both chills and a lump in my throat
