yeah that is true, in my opinion the "pentatonic" scale is the key to the best solos in rock history... And to learn a scale and a some licks is easy, but what it counts is what you do with it, what you communicate with your playing...thats not easy. Anyway man....who knows lol

You also have to have dexterity to play that fast and clean and also phrasing as well. Its not as easy as it looks on paper.

With all due respect to your style, there does come a point, in my view, that there are too many notes-per-beat to make solos sound good. That's, of course, my opinion and I respect your personal style, just not something I personally agree with. Incredible, technical playing!

First of all, thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. This solo in particular is metal style, Metallica, Kirk Hammet..., one of the best bands ever, and...with metal comes speed and that means more notes per beat. I love rock and metal, some people don't...its alright just another style idk....it depends on the mood. I have other videos in other styles in case u wanna check them out. Peace

Yeah, in the beginning i just follow the same rhythm of the backing track so it's "pre-written". About the licks, most of them are improvised but i had some ideas in mind before I recorded this....
