Ok, I need help on this: I don't know if it is a glitch, or I'm just fucked, but my progress level won't go any higher. I'm "forever" stuck on level 20, even after completion of some missions. Anyone know of this shit? Because it is pissing me off, greatly.
Played fallout 3 on PC never had any realy problems... Played Vew Vegas on ps3 with the patch and i have 3 freezes in 4 hours of gameplay.. That means i really have done nothing in the game yet and i've frozen 3 times! I instantly stopped playing the game and i trading for fallout 3 on xbox hoping that things will be better.. Besides i didn't do every thing that can be done in FO3 so it's a chance to do so
I applied the patch, started a new character, and now after level 11 it is always choppy. Sometimes it doesn't stop, sometimes it quits then restarts. Most of the time now it just gets choppy. Know anything about that?
I have a question, I have ps3, I updated Fallout 3 and it won't let me continue my game after the main quest. I thought the latest patch was supposed to fix it. What do I do?
@EointheGuy101 no no you gotta get broken steel which would allow you to continue the story to the point of an open ending. (: with more quests and cap of level to 30. I suggest broken steel as a buy. Its a really nice addon. Worth it just for the ability to continue playing after the story :P
AW FUCK THIS SHIT! I was really beginning to enjoy Fallout 3 until this shit happened. The game was good, but not as good as Oblivion. But with this shit. Fuck it. this same thing is happening to me, but its with tenpenny tower. i did install the dlc's but it was freezing b4 that.oh and im not in tenpenny tower when it freezes, im on the outside. i stashed a ton of good gear there and im pissed. what should i do?or am i screwed?
@Hawx679 are you on the xbox, and if so did you install the game with a new disk? or are you playing on an older disk? and if so is the disk scratched at all? (mine was and gave me problems until I borrowed a friend's to install)
this is amazing how bethesda works ive played oblivion and fallout 3 both and i never had a problem with oblivion until 6 or 7 months later it started acting stupid i went through so many copies of both and i just went and replaced fallout again today today and it still doesnt work and thats dick and im pissed so fuck both games!!!! does anyone know if fallout new vegas does this bullshit???
@kingmikey007 new vegas had a ton of bugs but the patch seemed to fix it for me. Just gotta be careful around stuff. (I got a glitch where Caesar's Legion didn't attack me when i wore NCR Ranger Combat armor. Best glitch ever!)
after i got the patch and it still frooze. You just have to go back 2 or 3 saves from the one you are on now and save it there. The save point that freezes got messed up when you saved it so yeah;)
The patch was never supposed to help. It was just released to get the game ready for the upcoming DLC. Bethesda doesn't care if YOUR shit works or not, just as long as they have their green.
hey i have found out how to fix this... you need to copy the save that you want to fix and copy it to another account and play where you slipped. thats it
i have like 30 hours of gameplay and everytime i load my last save it will just freeze like 5 minutes later cause im my way to old onley for a tesla coil, and there's this one spot near mine field where arkansas is there's like cars, house's and all this stuff just floating around with no ground under them when i shoot them they fall and go away!!! i dont know what to do some body help me plz!!!!!!

@7162good Sane here when i do that glitch it happens to. Its not a permanet glitch or anything its probably just from trading alot. Just do the glitch wait a while and dosome more of the glitch.
I can run this game in WINDOW MODE.. and have NO crashes what so ever. Yet suffer from a constant 25 - 35FPS artifact then back to 60+ fps cant seem to change any settings to fix So that keeps me from using window mode. Fullscreen nets typical frames 60 - 100++ frames no AA Aniso 1920X1080 Very High graphics. I'll be walking thru the game world and suddenly the game gets a pasty grainy film with no shadows and grinds along at 1 - 5 fps. When i look down or up it goes away. Otherwise/restart.
when i play fallout 3 on my 360 all that happens is it freezes every so often (i could play 5 hours and it would freeze maybe once) and sometimes i would get a random colorful line or shape on my screen (has happened twice) i dont really know what is up with fallout 3 but ive read and seen videos that people cant play fallout all together...the game is fun as hell but it can be scetchy for any console

I have GOTY with about 60 hours on it And I can't get into tenpenny anymore, and all my shits in it! I fixed it for awhile but then it fucked up again, I think its because of a scratch though
@ZXBrad You do not need xbox live gold to update a game....if you can connect your xbox to the internet and connect to the server you should be able to update the game....you will need to setup an account on Xbox live silver which is free
@ZXBrad The only other way is to find someone that does and update your hard drive. So basically plug your hard drive into a friends console and update your xbox and the game. Besides that there is no other way

The only problem with that video is that it never would freeze unless you saved there so you should'nt save in an area that does not allow you to wait not to mention that the room is also the wrong way around
it amazes me how Bethesda Softwork pretends that is ok to sell a defective product like this. i downloaded operation anchorage and every time i try to return to the outcast outpost to get the winterized power armor it freezes during the black loading screen every time i enter through the elevator. Same things happens when trying to go to the museum of history which has all the 2 best followers.

i have the same glitch, but its EVERYWHERE sorta, if i kill something that the game doesnt like= glitch, if i gain bad karma then try to save=glitch, if i FREAKN DO ANYTHING THAT I LIKE=GLITCH, (and it all started to happen after i installd operation anchorage and the pitt)

with me it started when i quickt ravelled to fort bannister, i walked around for bit and then it crashed. i tried turning my console off and on several times but iit still crashed so then i tried loading an ealier save that i had and i tried quick travelling on that save and it worked fine so then i loaded my proper save and it worked again. it was very strange

Mine keeps freezing entirely at random, say if I'm just running around the wasteland (and haven't gotten an autosave in a while since I'm outdoors), it'll just stop. Very annoying as it takes a long time to get back to that point. Sucky. D:
I have the exact same problem, everybody has problems at fixed locations or saves. Mine freezes always random and always at the most inconvenient time. Sometimes the game will stutter a little and i'm like 'yea there we go again...' and i'll stop to give the game time to load the surroundings up proper. sometimes it works sometimes it'll freeze up anyway. Why the crap won't they fix this??
I've just got a wierd bug that started when i went in to the nuka cola factory. the screen goes all matrix style with wierd blocks and you can't see anything clearly, but when i restarted my 360, it happened to the dashboard as well, and it wont stop :S

i had the same problem but with entering megaton, i downloaded the patch and it still froze so i started a game and it still froze at the same spot, wtf, can sumone help????

The only problem with that video is that it never would freeze unless you saved there so you should'nt save in an area that does not allow you to wait not to mention that the room is also the wrong way around

it amazes me how Bethesda Softwork pretends that is ok to sell a defective product like this. (im not saying that fallout is not a good game, fallout is a great game). but is idiotic from bethesda to say "well this is a good story is defective but a good story. throw it in the market and screw the customers". personally i'll never buy another Bethesda softworks game again.

for me on my fallout 3 (i got it 3 weeks ago) fallout 3 freezes constantly i cant leave megaton i have to fast travel cant go to rivet city (somehow i managed to beat the game though) sometimes everything disapeers and i will end up falling of a cliff... oh but just wait here's the worst part. since i had done everything there is to do in fallout 3 (don fuck with me im serious everything)i deleted my account and made a new one this was 3 hours ago. i wrote down how man times it froze 76 time

um, my ps3 doesnt let me save. Im lvl 20. and I was just lvling up. I didnt do any missions. Im going to the town ith the bomb in it. I get my house (deactivate the bomb) and everything but when i go on the start screen the save button is transparent :/

i downloaded operation anchorage and every time i try to return to the outcast outpost to get the winterized power armor it freezes during the black loading screen every time i enter through the elevator. Same things happens when trying to go to the museum of history which has all the 2 best followers.

no its not true, i have the the goty edition and its works just fine, the game works great on the ps3, but i did get 1 freeze in the dlc but thats about it.

um ps3 will get corrupt from alot of games thts why i got a 360. a corrupted file usually has to do with the hard drive failure.

SPREAD THE WORD!!! this game is GREAT, but you cant play a game thats always freezing!, boycott this shit until the knuckle heads at Bethesda Softworks actually make an update that works. I called their tech support and talked to a lady that could barely speak english... ...didnt fix shit! (mothership zeta freeze), update/patch was made late 08, got the GOTY EDITION 09, NO FUCKING IMPROVEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have the same glitch, but its EVERYWHERE sorta, if i kill something that the game doesnt like= glitch, if i gain bad karma then try to save=glitch, if i FREAKN DO ANYTHING THAT I LIKE=GLITCH, (and it all started to happen after i installd operation anchorage and the pitt)

fixed it! just have to load on a previous save before i started the quest..i suggest saving before starting any quest so you can avoid this shitty problem.

with me it started when i quickt ravelled to fort bannister, i walked around for bit and then it crashed. i tried turning my console off and on several times but iit still crashed so then i tried loading an ealier save that i had and i tried quick travelling on that save and it worked fine so then i loaded my proper save and it worked again. it was very strange

Mine keeps freezing entirely at random, say if I'm just running around the wasteland (and haven't gotten an autosave in a while since I'm outdoors), it'll just stop. Very annoying as it takes a long time to get back to that point. Sucky. D:

I have the exact same problem, everybody has problems at fixed locations or saves. Mine freezes always random and always at the most inconvenient time. Sometimes the game will stutter a little and i'm like 'yea there we go again...' and i'll stop to give the game time to load the surroundings up proper. sometimes it works sometimes it'll freeze up anyway. Why the crap won't they fix this??

I've just got a wierd bug that started when i went in to the nuka cola factory. the screen goes all matrix style with wierd blocks and you can't see anything clearly, but when i restarted my 360, it happened to the dashboard as well, and it wont stop :S
