i know every little peice of greec history. And i totaly agree with their title. THE GREATEST WARRIORS THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN.. And yess they have been beaten by persia, macedonia, and of course the romans. But they never had a greater army than 5.000 man. and then you should look in hystory books, and know what they did with only 300 of them! I meen samurais are strong but alone.. they have no chance in a group fight. the spartans are trained from age 7, war and battle was everything to them!

uhhh yess.. but just as you said.. greeks, not spartans. there were only 300 spartans! and 700 thespians and also other greek soldiers from destent city's/villages.. in total there were 1700 greek soldiers there. But the 300 spartans were with the thespians the only one that stayed behind. they others fled away.. and the spartans were the one with the reputation. unfortually the thespians didn't get the credit they deserve.. But still the spartans were legend there!
