Ello, it may be a silly question, but: do you need a synth/keyboard to use this softwar or can you write the music on your PC? thanx! Nice song! Sounds like some softer songs of Symphony X
@J1Militans Thanks for the nice comment. As for your question, it's not silly at all. The short of it is: no, you don't need a synthesizer and yes, you can do everything on the computer. Using sound libraries, your computer essentially becomes the "synthesizer". It's common for people to use a MIDI keyboard controller (which is just an input device and does not produce sounds on its own), but you can also just use a mouse. For recording the MIDI data, you would use a MIDI sequencer.
@MultiDoomsday666 Thanks! If you keep a lookout, EWQL has sales on their products from time to time, like 2for1 or buy2get1free sales on their website. Hope you have fun with it when you get it!
from one composer to another... this theme is totally awesome! its got that Hans Zimmer vibe and would be perfect for an intro in either a film or TV series :D
Fantastic arrangement!! I can already see the hero of an adventure cartoon before my inner eye! Oh, will he manage to get through all the new challenges! I'm sure he will, but I feel rather tense now. ;-) Excellent work, hope to hear some more new stuff on your channel soon, Don!!!
haha... yes, clearly our heroes will prevail.. because that's what heroes do.. but what is more important is that they will strike a heroic pose when they do so... :) thank you very much, Lars!!
Really good stuff. Particularly like your drums/percussion programming. V good use of dynamics and you manage to let the music breathe with spaces here and there. Easy to fill things out too much but you manage to avoid it. 5/5 mate :-)
Thanks! I appreciate the comments. I agree, it can be tempting sometimes to keep adding that "one more thing"... and then the christmas tree falls over... :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!
hahaha .. WOW dude .. this was totally cool! .. loved the electry geeeetar in the mix .. gives it some edge to the piece .. very cool man! love your work! ..

Very cool. The electric guitar mixes with the orchestra perfectly. And I love the percussion.
