@eHow I'm 12 years old and have no experience. I really want to be an actress, however I'm young and have no idea how acting business works. I don't know where to go and to start. What do I do?
Extra!!! I would want to work as an extra in that situation your right! I will easily pay attention and learn from the professionals... where could i go or find a site to apply for this job?
This is some awesome advice on this video. No matter what age you are, getting work is always the hardest part. I've been trying for four years, and finally got my big break - you can check out my journey to my own acting career at my blog, just search for acting-career-info(dot)com
I try to give as much advice about my own experiences as possible.
@Mogli2nd2none yes but, most people dont ever try all the stuff this guys said in this video, they just dont bother with it, so no its not shit, this is actually the best advice any young wannbe actor could get, because u gotta do all of it if u wanna be an actor.
uhm no offence to this guy and his advice, but from what i've heard in interviews from the most talented actors ...most of them just happened , like if you REALLY have talent within you ....some great actors just dropped out of college and went for it ....no head shots no voice overs and "extras" ....if you feel it just go for it, take risks people. :)
I think I could be a "extra" but I have a "gas" problem. Is being stinky a problem? I'm not sure, so I'm asking a pro: you? My 8X10 has me farting. Is that prudent? You're the pro... let me know.... wow
Thanks for the advice the headshot thing is a bit obvious though. I live in Hollywood so I see celebs regularly. Some fav spots to chill at are The Laugh Factory, Magic Castle on Franklin and of course the Ivy, a top hot spot! ;)
Being an extra is important for all actors. You will learn many things about the movie set and stuff. Also, three days on a set as an extra will earn you a SAG card. Without SAG card there is no point of moving to Hollywood. Matt Damon, Charlize Theron and Ben Affleck were all extras.
i wish this guy would stop trying to act, and just give advice. he gave advice, but it was all common-sense stuff. you know what would have made his acting good in this little clip? if he gave himself an actable objective. but really...he didn't name on casting office, or even point anyone in a relatively specific direction...lame. all i learned was that this guy had a yellow tape that had his name on it from the 1980's.
how about if you are a high school student and taking theater classes once a week and want to be a actor when i graduate from high school could i be accepted
@WickedAwesomeeAna He was in Hellboy 2, Henchmen, The Company, Robin Hood, Eragon, Day of Wrath, Dinotopia, Boyce, Passport to Murder, and Living on Borrowed Time according to his resume.
I've been in extra things, TIME FOR REAL ACTING! :D
