1 year ago when I had XP (I miss it), my cousin downloaded a flash game site TOOL BAR which made my Comp so slow that it used to download google.com in...2-6 seconds but by that stupid toolbar 1min -2 min.I am saying the truth but... the next 3 days my computer got infected but it was like not so harmful so my cousin played it and the next day my pc had no memory and the next day after that the computer didn't even start up!!!
I got one of these, and you know what? There were gross icons appearing on the desktop, etc... I did some searching, and a quick scan with malwarebytes did it. Thanks to the makers of that.
I study this stuff in my spare time. I feel like such a nerd. (I look at stuff on bleepincomputer for like 4.5 hours a day. Watch vids... etc. Wikipedia too. Lets not forget OTHER STUFF!)
I had Antivirus Suite (search it up) and I couldn't open ANYTHING. When I opened task manager it popped up and said task manager.exe it infected! Internet Explorer.exe is infected! What ever. The only thing I could open is Mozilla Firefox. The web browser I used to download a app that was incepted with this piece of crap virus. Got rid of it though. And guess what? It was on Vista.
I remembered something similar happening to me just this week. Something called Antivirus 7, the first thing when I noticed it was to immediately emergency shut down the computer, no ifs or buts. The thing didn't even got a chance to hack into it.
My little sister's computer was not so fortunate and have to reboot it apparently.
I wish that there was a giant halt button that you can hit or a panic button to freeze everything malicious b/c you really don't have control over what your machine downloads. the cancel or allow feature in vista is a step closer but some programs can override that and some can run in the background. is there any way to block this?
I was just on the Internet when vista antivirus pops up and says computer infected firewall off and stuff and I cant find the program I used before to get rid of other viruses. The antivirus wants me to purchase it so I did NOT I then continued to download avg and when avg was scanning my whole pc froze but my mouse would move and vista anti virus. I could not shut down so I pulled out my battery. I have yet to turn on my laptop. Since? Any help? PS writing this from iPod.
Reminds me of the Personal Antivirus virus that hit my computer and slowed it down to a crawl. Luckily the computer was cleaned and the virus was removed.

How do you get the "anti-virus software" to leave you alone? This happens to me all the time, and I can never find a way to get it to leave me alone until I restart my computer. Q~Q
I like "ComboFix" .. it made my pc happy. I was looking at porn when my pc went haywire. Nothing could find the problem. SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition, highjack this, spybot search and destroy, malwarebytes, Windows defender, ultimate troubleshooter, AVG and norton antivirus corporate edition. They all failed. Then I used the free combofix and it worked. I still have spybot resident running and use the other tools but combofix worked when the others didn't.
you know whats more scare,if you send rogues to kaspersky or eset that have digital signature, they say its clean and do nothing, netcom is one of those craps they dont do shit about, but its nasty as hell, but thank god antimalware apps like malwarebytes detect it and removes it.

@mistressmadambella i just recovered my computer from one of these. i had to use system restore. these guys are scum and need to have thier systems crashed.
@mistressmadambella The best free program I've found to fight these things is called Malwarebytes. I can't recommend it enough. I had a hi-jacker so bad I took my computer to the shop, but it was closed. I came home and ran a full Malwarebytes scan and it quarantined it where it still is. Saved me about $100. If u want a link to the free version of this program message me.
Most of the time you can easily tell if it's fake, due to the misspell of "unregistered." At 2:38, the fake scanner spelt it as "unregistred" missing an e.
yeah, heres how to tell if its a fake, if its on a mac, itll show a bunch of WINDOWS files and most LICENSED antivirus installers dont look like windows popups
"You must update your adobe pdf reader to view this site!"
Erm... okay (click)
As soon as I saw this same crap coming up right afterward I knew what was up. Just ctrl/alt/del and kill every process I don't recognize and run malwarebytes. Got rid of it pretty quick. Had avast running and it got by that. Started using NoScript in Firefox that day and don't update anything through a 3rd party site anymore, always the home page for the software.
@luchiiachan Likely, you never run more than one antivirus as they can conflict with each other and cause other problems. ONE main antivirus plus occassionaly run AntiMalware scans like Malwarebytes, Adaware, Spybot. Personally I just run MS Security Essentials (free) with an occassional scan with Malwarebytes and I never have any issues..........
Maybe, but there is no need to run to Antivirus, it's overkill. One Antivirus plus an occasional manual scan with Malwarebytes, I have never had a problem. To each his own though.
@MaximumRD So its better to have one Anti-Malware and a Anti-Virus istead of 2 Ani-Viruses? And one more question, does Malwarebytes detects the malware like a normal anti-virus or anti-spyware like Avira or avast!?
Well in my opinion yes. One main Antivirus, an occasionally scan with Malwarebytes (say once a week) but you need to do that manually it does not run in the background but the best defense is COMMON SENSE, do not visit or download from suspicious or questionable sites and NEVER click on pop up adds or banners claiming garbage like FREE XBOX 360 or if you go to a site and a window pops up saying DETECTED 100 MALICIOUS FILES DOWNLOAD OR ANTIVIRUS TO REMOVE, uh yeah that is a TRAP!
Such garbage actually displays FALSE positives in order to trick you into installing their malicious garbage. If you know you are running a good antivirus that is running in the background with up to date virus definitions you have nothing to fear, these bastards prey on peoples fear. For the record I been building and using PC BEFORE the was just 2 platforms (MAC / PC) I build them piece by piece from scratch and keep up with all the latest info, it's what I do, take care.
this happened to me, but I didn't know how to remove it and my computer died. after that I couldnt start my computer. and my keyboard didn't work, so i couldn't do anything. it's like it did something to my keyboard. because it was totally fine on another computer...
goddamn it rather than remove the virus i wish there program to back track it back to their location with a lighter on my right hand and a tank of gasoline on the left yeh gonna be hella fun to those bastard
If you get this, DO NOT let is scan. Close the window that's scanning and restart your computer. Then, run your anti-virus program. If you get infected, you might have to resort to a restore or worse... a recovery.
I wasn't serious. if you have windows, than just install your favorite antivirus, and the "Web of Trust" web browser addon to deny connections from reported malware or scam websites.
also im used to track down viruses manualy after thay have been spottet by norton because thats normaly finding them but this roge is damn anoying. i just hope it aint in my computer now and messes it upp. again-.-
Chances are your probably dont have not 1 of the infections listed by the rogue, the rogue virus scanner isn't even real, its just used to scare stupid people into purchasing their product, which in fact is giving out your financial information.
i love ur sarcasm omg cool new anti virus i had rouge yester day VERY PERSISTENT u no that this site may contain harmful things it was that but it was fake it just wants u to buy it i used some thing called malabytes or somthing then boom gone
will i get drive-by downloads if i have ie8 with onecare firewall whiich blocks incoming things and things that try to reach the net without permission oh and smartscreen filter is on so does that help?
Avg anti-virus is the best really! i used SUPERANTYSPYWARE and found the rogue thingy and deleted it + avg found it too but tht shyt duplicated it and my antispyware removed the server that was duplicating it

I had 117 infections, Real infections, But 114 of them were Tracker Cookies and the last 3 was Most Recently Used Bjoect files so not much of a big deal.
I usually use both. I really don't know of any program that takes care of both viruses and spyware well enough. I like to use a combination of programs for the most protection.

search google for e-geniuses free security apps you need. You will find a blog post I did with the best security programs. Run them and you should be good to go.
my school computers has a very dangerous rogue, I tried going to every single antivirus protection site i can think of, the rogue redirects me to all of these different virus infected sites then if I go to google every single link goes to some sort of website named go.google it pops up constantly
even its worse case scenario, dont download or trust anything that pop ups. just ignore and close. scan your pc. my pc use to be total chose when they pop up to download those shits. just ignore and close. dont download and install anything. those r fakes anti virus. if you already have an anti virus just use it.

I still have spybot resident running and use the other tools but combofix worked when the others didn't.

super anti spyware is the best rogue destroyer!!

you know whats more scare,if you send rogues to kaspersky or eset that have digital signature, they say its clean and do nothing, netcom is one of those craps they dont do shit about, but its nasty as hell, but thank god antimalware apps like malwarebytes detect it and removes it.

@mistressmadambella i just recovered my computer from one of these. i had to use system restore. these guys are scum and need to have thier systems crashed.
renzokata 1 year ago
@mistressmadambella The best free program I've found to fight these things is called Malwarebytes. I can't recommend it enough. I had a hi-jacker so bad I took my computer to the shop, but it was closed. I came home and ran a full Malwarebytes scan and it quarantined it where it still is. Saved me about $100. If u want a link to the free version of this program message me.
clintonearlwalker 1 year ago
Most of the time you can easily tell if it's fake, due to the misspell of "unregistered." At 2:38, the fake scanner spelt it as "unregistred" missing an e.
megamariostriker 1 year ago
yeah, heres how to tell if its a fake, if its on a mac, itll show a bunch of WINDOWS files and most LICENSED antivirus installers dont look like windows popups

Browsing one day...

DOwnload spyhunter from enigmasoftware and say good bye from rogue antivirus!
I hope it's a help!
nani2416 2 years ago
I got this 3 times already, just Ctrl-Alt-Delete and restart computer before you download the virus.
chadheck96 2 years ago
@MrPCDude117 norton kinda killed my computer. I had both AVG and norton installed. was it because of that, maybe? :( wow, so many dead computers..
luchiiachan 2 years ago
@luchiiachan Likely, you never run more than one antivirus as they can conflict with each other and cause other problems. ONE main antivirus plus occassionaly run AntiMalware scans like Malwarebytes, Adaware, Spybot. Personally I just run MS Security Essentials (free) with an occassional scan with Malwarebytes and I never have any issues..........
MaximumRD 2 years ago
@MaximumRD Hey, I hvae Avira and avast! both seem to be working together perfectly like the Americans and The British
Lol8922 2 years ago
Maybe, but there is no need to run to Antivirus, it's overkill. One Antivirus plus an occasional manual scan with Malwarebytes, I have never had a problem. To each his own though.
MaximumRD 2 years ago
@MaximumRD So its better to have one Anti-Malware and a Anti-Virus istead of 2 Ani-Viruses? And one more question, does Malwarebytes detects the malware like a normal anti-virus or anti-spyware like Avira or avast!?
Lol8922 2 years ago
Well in my opinion yes. One main Antivirus, an occasionally scan with Malwarebytes (say once a week) but you need to do that manually it does not run in the background but the best defense is COMMON SENSE, do not visit or download from suspicious or questionable sites and NEVER click on pop up adds or banners claiming garbage like FREE XBOX 360 or if you go to a site and a window pops up saying DETECTED 100 MALICIOUS FILES DOWNLOAD OR ANTIVIRUS TO REMOVE, uh yeah that is a TRAP!
MaximumRD 2 years ago
Such garbage actually displays FALSE positives in order to trick you into installing their malicious garbage. If you know you are running a good antivirus that is running in the background with up to date virus definitions you have nothing to fear, these bastards prey on peoples fear. For the record I been building and using PC BEFORE the was just 2 platforms (MAC / PC) I build them piece by piece from scratch and keep up with all the latest info, it's what I do, take care.
MaximumRD 2 years ago
@MaximumRD Lol I went for searching for doom cheats and a rogue spammed the hell out of my computer. But i could easily X out LOL. Fail.
Headcrabman99 1 year ago
this happened to me, but I didn't know how to remove it and my computer died. after that I couldnt start my computer. and my keyboard didn't work, so i couldn't do anything. it's like it did something to my keyboard. because it was totally fine on another computer...

If you get this, DO NOT let is scan. Close the window that's scanning and restart your computer. Then, run your anti-virus program. If you get infected, you might have to resort to a restore or worse... a recovery.
chadheck96 2 years ago
and thats why you should switch to linux.
windows7linux 2 years ago
@windows7linux
That is not an answer to the problem, some of us with half a brain are very capable of running Windows without issue......
MaximumRD 2 years ago
@MaximumRD
I wasn't serious. if you have windows, than just install your favorite antivirus, and the "Web of Trust" web browser addon to deny connections from reported malware or scam websites.

I wonder does it make Viruses when you get the rogue on the machine or does it just pretend there's a million viruses
Thegamer5150 2 years ago
Chances are your probably dont have not 1 of the infections listed by the rogue, the rogue virus scanner isn't even real, its just used to scare stupid people into purchasing their product, which in fact is giving out your financial information.
bigduey69 2 years ago
@Thegamer5150 It pretends that there are viruses one day I had the rouge anti virus

my school computers has a very dangerous rogue, I tried going to every single antivirus protection site i can think of, the rogue redirects me to all of these different virus infected sites then if I go to google every single link goes to some sort of website named go.google it pops up constantly
AkumaADemoncus 3 years ago
even its worse case scenario, dont download or trust anything that pop ups. just ignore and close. scan your pc. my pc use to be total chose when they pop up to download those shits. just ignore and close. dont download and install anything. those r fakes anti virus. if you already have an anti virus just use it.
