  • Interesting comments. There were a lot of close calls. The only one that seemed clearly wrong to me was the one at 10-10. That seemed like a clear let to me. On the stroke call around 6:00, Heath's shot was very loose. On the shot in the nick, then in the back, it looked to me like Heath took the wrong line to the ball. However, when in doubt, play a let. Difficult calls. Something worth noting is of the first 8 of Heath's points, 6 were gifts (only 2 winners by Heath).

  • Ref says: Ball was in the nick, second bounce was in the back..or something.....priceless...pretty dirty ref the Scottish guy got robbed

  • the ref is a total dick

  • that was the most shocking case of reffing i have ever seen.the scottish bloke mentally collapsed after them shocking calls.he was 8-5 up and still lost.great vid on how not to ref.

  • Terrible calls, Heath should have won.

  • The ref is unqualified...

A fan says, "Change the ref!" I agree... change 'the ref'...

  • 6:00... that's not a stroke... they just collided... but the biased ref called it a stroke.... what an idiot he is!!!!

  • 3:32 "no let", "the ball was in the nick"... it bounced a foot high!!! The ref's blind or biased... I think biased...

  • Wow. Poor Heath. That's some bad 'reffing'. Terrible officiating-terrible sportsmanship by Phillips (of course)... Heath will not be coming back and I reckon neither will his compatriots. Horrible ref.

  • arbitrage lamentable!!! on sent bien qu'il fallait que le canadien gagne chez lui c'est honteux.une fois de plus le sport n'en sort pas vainqueur.shamous referee!!!

  • Great post and an interesting game to watch...

Ref was maybe a little biased towards the home player, I thought.

  • no one wants to watch squash that is decided by the referee

  • The Heath character is trying to force the lets, instead of playing. Watch his body angle, he is leaning into the contact.

After 3 lets it should be full contact!

  • Of course he is! He's playing Phillips who throws his weight into the interference! He has to to prevent being thrown back from it! He's not trying to create the interference he's just ready for it the contact he knows is coming. And its arguable that playing Phillips is full-contact squash. Most players try to lessen the contact when it happens, Phillips does not.

  • That was such a let a 10-10. Interferrence and he could of got it.
