Astro's voice is cute in this trailor. I wouldn't say that his actual voice actor was terrible, but it just didn't fit him right. Wait a second! Is it just me, or does Astro in the trailor sound just like the English voice of Tamao (I forget his English dub name).

@jackiedoit1 Astro was played by a female voice actor.......in this crappy trailer for the 2003 series and the series itself. Also Astro has always been english dubbed by a female from 1980 (not sure about 60) to 2003. First time he was played by a male role in 2009 in the American Animated take on Astro Boy

in the intro Astro comes out of the green water but Atlas, Pluto, and Blue Knight are drawn all differently?

I think this is the Japanese version of the series.

this is for the 2003 series. Not a bad series, but you have to look at it as a whole different series with similar character (cos' it really different from the others)

It's not a movie. It was a 52 episode series, actually the third anime series in fact, to translate Osamu Tezuka's comic. The only thing is that this new series is kind of a reimagining of the comic where as the first two were direct transaltions. You can find the whole thing in a DVD set on Amazon.

I think I saw a different version of Denkou! And Astro sounds like a real kid his age! I wonder how the Japanese studio got everyone's voices in English? There are so many things different here - like how Tenma's lab looks like the clock tower from "Great Mouse Detective" - and it was made three years before the actual series!

So wait, this was just a demo of what eventually became the most recent series? Why are some of the sequences different, such as the fight with Atlas, who appears to be a different design, and the scene where Astro Boy sees the photo of his past self with Dr. Tenma? Odd.
