Rider sat quietly, didn't punish the horse, didn't catch the horse in the mouth intentionally............ fail to see why you felt the need to state that "western riding is cruel". The style of riding is never crueler than the riders attitude. I guess your in the UK? Me too, seen lots of bad riders in all disciplines but have to say all the western riders I've met have been very forwards thinking and horse friendly.

nicely ridden. i wouldve ridden them forward so they arnt bucking up and down and when they stopped shouldve moved them forward and no jerked on its mouth
