@MrDeftone1 It's supposed to be more comfortable to play. It supposedly fits right up against the player, and the neck is at the perfect angle to keep the shoulders and wrists relaxed. You can't have looks and extreme comfort unfortunately. Tosin says it's comfortable and plays great, so in my opinion, there's nothing else that really matters, other than the player's comfort and playability.

Sure he's technical, but technicality doesn't make good music. His "music" feels less like a song and more like some guitar talent show set to a backing track. That's just my opinion, I know you feel differently. Try "Perspective" and "Powers of Ten" by Jason and Shawn respectively.

A large portion of what he plays is clean in tone because HE HAS A MASTERS in jazz a la Shaun Lane (but with an education). He kind of switched between the two, I read in an interview. Sweeps are an rudimentary advanced technique and "Meshuggah" chugging riffs are a very basic technique, he does bothwell. I really can't imagine that he'd have trouble playing anything that Shaun Lane, Robert Fripp, Steve Vai, etc. are able to play. He clearly has the techniques down, if you're a guitar player you should know that that is all that is necessary.

@Vildbrusj it's a matter of preference and taste, Scale The Summit's music & arrangement are more melodic and easier to appreciate, in terms of technique & complexity, Tosin (AAL) is way more mature and creative. Tosin has better 'jazz/fusion' esque, another couple years and he'll be up there with guys like Guthrie Govan, Greg Howe or Allan Holdsworth. Try to learn their songs and then compare. i'd prefer Paul Masvidal & Paul Waggoner than Chris Letchford & Travis Levrier though
