  • This is one of the best segment of any of the no reservation épisodes.....amazing!!!

  • What McDonald's does to their food is far, far more disgusting then cutting open a pig.

  • euj comprend pas! n y'a trois personnes qui aimient pas ce video? hé, vous-autres es fou!

  • I Want to eat everything I just saw @_@ Pork, truly, is god's gift to men. And women. And cannibalistic pigs.

  • @steveparok00 Your anger humors me greatly. Do you eat meat? Guess what? Someone has to kill the animal, before we can eat it. Do you not eat meat? Guess what? I don't care.

  • @Dzaal17 DISGUSTING YOU PIG! ALL I NEED IS MCDONALDS LOSER!!!!

  • @kumquatsta thanks for the uploads you rock.

  • tony's best yet.

  • Much win in this video. I would like to keep it.

  • First thing I do when I go south is contact my family cuz the Cajuns know how to show a northerner a good time!

  • Damn I miss NLO

  • @oldranker16 I doubt those are bullet holes. It's a rural area, but it is populated. I grew up about five minutes from there. We Cajuns like to party and have fun, but we're not in the habit of shooting barn walls in populated areas. That's a campground / RV park / recreation area. Too many people around. Those are likely nail holes. The walls may have been salvaged from another building. For sheds, barns, or utility buildings, it's fairly common around here, if the materials are in good shape.

  • Check out the bullet holes in the barn wall @ 10:16.

  • lucky bastid

  • @haybails21 About Avery Island, it's the home of Tabasco sauce. They do factory tours, and there's the Jungle Gardens with plants from around the world, and alligators from right here in Cajun country. I wasn't kidding when I said they're not fenced in. Don't worry, they only eat a few tourists per day. Ha! Gotcha. About Cajun restaurants, there's several good ones in New Iberia (My home town, 5 minutes away), and Glenda's Creole Kitchen is about 35 or 40 minutes away. Got your flight yet?

  • @haybails21 If you plan to visit Louisiana, check out my channel. You may find some of my videos that interest you. I HIGHLY recommend visiting Avery Island. It's a beautiful. Lots of alligators. Just be aware that they're not caged or fenced in. Check out my "Later Gator" and "Cajun Fun in Gator Country" videos. We don't have alligators everywhere, but we do have A LOT and they're cool to watch. Oh, and there's LOTS of GOOD Cajun restaurants around. Anyway, have a look, and leave comments.

  • @Stingray8854 Heh. I live in Louisiana, even worked in New Iberia, not too far from Avery Island, but I never went there. I'm gonna have to go one day. As for alligators, I see them all too often. :-P

  • I like how they are not wasting the meat unlike other Americans

  • @mardamek1 it's true that the whole thing looks a bit gruesome, but that is part of life, and is more "real" than getting our food in a package. There was a respect and thankfulness for the animal. Getting our food this way would certainly make us think and consider if it's all worth it.

  • Beauty ! Love !

  • this looks like the best party there is

  • I'm neither Jewish, nor Muslim, but watching how they go about killing and separating the pig just doesn't do anything for me. In fact, it sort of goes against my upbringing and knowledge of how you should butcher an animal. I mean hack saws? come on. don't mean to bash these guys, since I admire the overall culture and the spirit they have and the fact that they don't just stuff down a burger and call it dinner. so, they have my respect, but still I don't too much like their technique...

  • @mardamek1 I understand your sentiment, it can look rough to many (probably most) people, but once you have experienced it first hand you can see the love and beauty in it. I suggest anyone who can to do so.

    good eatings friend.

  • @mardamek1 Butcher shops use bandsaws??? Same kind of blade...are we talking cleavers?

  • @cigarettegood3, no, I did mean the hack saws. I know that butcher shops use band saws, but that's in this country, where everything is about speed and the hell with the right way of doing things. if you just think of the butcher shops in America, then yes, there's, I guess, nothing strange about how these guys were doing it. the better way, though, would be using sharp carving knives and cleavers. these are true butcher tools.

  • @mardamek1 you should see how the meat that you do eat is butchered. this way is much more natural, respectful, and humane. Lets the children and the people see where real food comes from and is fresh and well used.

  • @tuffgrrrrl you absolutely have a point. the supermarket meat is from animals butchered in much more cruel and inhumane way. my comment wasn't about being inhumane or cruel to the animal. as far as that, I agree with you fully. what I meant is that since these guys are butchering the animal themselves, they could have done it in the more natural way - slitting the throat, so that the blood would quickly drain out from the main arteries while the heart is still pumping.

  • i love this episode!

  • This show keeps getting better :)

  • I make those bad ass cracklins!! dip on some coconut vinegar with chilis! straight up full blown assult on your artery..

  • 5:57 Damn it, Tony! Stop taunting me with that sausage!.

  • @ArchArturo lol ya might wanna re-phrase that

  • mmmmm. good eats!!!

  • The best episode ever! period.

  • Looking up flights to Louisiana right now... that looked like heaven.

  • Wow this has to be my favorite NR in a while

  • this is the America I love. Food, music and friendly down to earth people.

  • That's a massive sandwich, how can he eat so much! Thanks for the upload, never a dull moment when there's pig involved.

  • This episode was FANTASTIC! Beautiful.

  • what a great episode

  • Anyone know the recipe for the pig spine/gravy dish he ate near the end? Or something similar?

  • @franksrealsport The base for the dish is called a roux. Basically it's just equal parts (by weight) of fat (butter, vegetable oil, etc.) and flour. Cooking on the stove will cause it to darken. The more it darkens the more flavor you'll get out of it. The roux is the base for many dishes in cajun cuisine, most notably gumbo. The other parts of the dish i'm not sure about, but some light googling can get you pretty close to what you are looking for.

  • Its a definite food porn hehe......... great culture

  • Damn...Tony must have keeled over in pork fat-drenched happiness after this trip to NOLA. Great episode!

  • @Chaucer129

They were in Eunice, Louisiana for the boucherie.
