There is virtue in profit seeking. workers have to be competent in order to stay employed and get good pay. In the case of gov workers, they will allways get paid with tax money regardless of competency thus the gov will pay their workers longer hours of work for the same project and thus pay more. and if we worry about the competency of workers then the integrity of the structure is also in doubt.
