my brothers and i used to do a toy story type scenario. toy story - where we were the toys having to hide from our owners, and also very basic live action D&D. This was before we knew D&D existed, but we had all the characters mapped out, etc... was fun. :) except that I'm pretty sure all of us ALWAYS wanted to win, so that made it difficult to have a running plot that was interesting and actually worked. There was a lot of 'then i killed you,' "but i wasnt really dead and I killed YOU!" etc. :)
me and my friends, we used to play ''the charmed''. do you remember this? it was about those three sisters with powers.lolz. well yeah, we used to fight against monsters and stuff. and also, when we were walking around the city we used to imagine that the white lines are land, and that everything water. lol. and stuff like this
Ooh, fun question. I was one of those little kids who played with imaginary people...I pretended to be hanging out with Disney characters (namely Eric from The Little Mermaid and John Smith from Pocahontas). I often also pretended that my various toys were real. All fun stuff :P
Harry Potter is awesome for everyone though, honestly. When the seventh book came out, my mom and I had to take turns reading it.
i would pretend i was famous singer or animals. used to pretend i was a cat more than anything else. didn't have a lot of friend most of my school years, so i was pretty much a loner.
When Pokemon came to the US, I was in second grade, and everyone in my class loved it. We would pretend to be Pokemon during recess. If I can remember correctly, I was usually Butterfree.
Looking back on it, now I just feel lame. I mean, Butterfree? Psh! Scyther's where it's at, yo.
I discovered Harry Potter at 18... but I did have Narnia and LotR to keep me company. I also read the Shannara, Magic Kingdom for Sale/Sold, and Xanth series because my mom liked those.
I would make up these adventures for my friends to go through on the fly. It was like I would make up text adventures and just say them and change them as they went which my friends really enjoyed. Now I'd probably look insane but what ever.
When I was about 8, I was all about Ghostbusters. I had a proton pack. It was a hunk of molded plastic with shoulder straps and the handle had a rachety noise maker and a foam noodle for the proton beam, but it was the coolest toy ever.

I used to pretend to be a mermaid or that I could just breathe underwater and I would pretend my room was under the sea and I'd go hunting for clams.

I studied Wiccan for a bit. Uh, your game of Cowboys and Indians sounds sadly racist! The Indians NEVER won?!?

I pretended all my action figures were living in a small town and would get attacked by dinosaurs. Except that was yesterday. haha..
I too wish I grew up with Harry Potter. I discovered the magic a few months after HBP came out.

I was a Star Wars fan. A BIG Star Wars fan. I still have many, many lightsabers around the house, lying unused. And maybe a Jedi cloak.
