"It has to be the essence of the man, not an imitation of him." Langella accomplished a great thing with his portrayal of Nixon, because I can't imagine ANY actor doing a better job than he did. That's the only movie I've seen with Langella in it, too.

Yeah, he and Michael Sheen, who plays Frost in the movie, had already put on over a hundered performances by the time the movie went into production. Which probably made Ron Howard's job pretty easy.
