eric sermon double or nothing album is his best work ever. true story my friends & i went to a party & it was the best party me & my boyz ever went to. A few months later double or nothing drop..no joke in the song DO YOUR THANG everything in that song happened to us like it did in the song that's why i LOVE THAT SONG. True hip hop fans know real hip hop music...PEACE!!
True story, in 95 me and my sister went to specs music store and i asked my sister to buy this tape for me. She said no and she bought TLC crazy sexy cool album. I said fuck that, i stole the eric sermon tape, and also the lords of the underground chief rocka tape. I was in middle back then. This was my real introduction to loving hip hop. As i look back now i don't regret it. I played the shit outta this tape.
@widerling I agree. I can hear the Dilla all up in this joint. PS. this entire album is just dope. I bought it back in "95". It was dope then and is still dope now. Real Hip Hop. Much Respect. PEACE.
um..one second, I'm listening to Beethoven...how the heck did I get here?? :) Hey, he reminds me of Coolio..I love what he did with pachelbel's canon:)
This guy is waay too underrated i donno how more pple dont know him. more pple need their daily dose of sermon in their life. Every song is fuckin awesome in its own way even back with EPMD. Every person should listen to this album and no pressure
@imrealboutmine I GOT Insomnia!!!! I'm from the UK and NOONE I know even knew about that album!!! I don't think it was better than this solo work though, but that album was robust with straight Def Squadness!!
@JayGriffinblaze Dude we must have been sooooo alone with that album!! I caught Funkorama cuz that got airplay but cuz I'd followed Def Squad titles I knew about that project......but I was the only one in my circle! lol They were all creaming over illmatic that year!! lol
Hey this is the joint for real. This is the most slept on song in the world. This is the song that you can really think back and remember the "good old days" Thank you for this man, This was a good vibe straight up!

Double Or Nothing is one of the dopest (and slept on) albums of the nineties. I really digg Erick Sermon's mindset throughout the album.
He could be my cool uncle.
I know he likes to go fishing.. I do to!
