most of you guys complaining about overkill don't understand modern combat. The fact is, the US Marines are the most talented infantry strategists of all of our regular grunts. However, in most modern engagements, you use a tremendous amount of firepower to achieve one kill. I think it's an average of thousands of rounds per one kill, or something like that. It sounds messy, but in real war your enemy is not a clear target most of the time, just a muzzle flash in a window 350 yards out.

lol, you can't see gun flashes the size of dots from a building window over 900 yards away in broad daylight. Insurgents take refuge in buildings and shoot down at Marines in the street, the reason you don't see resistance is because the Marines are on a roof with fortified position, but once they get down on the street they get shot at. you can't clear out every single building in the city so the ones that pose a problem need to be taken care of.
they need to do what they did in black hawk down. black hawk happend cuz they changed commanders and new guy sucked so blackhawk down happend and before guy would blow up 50 yds of where got shot at with jets and then shot at again 100yds. but ya new guy and he wasent good so they didt lession to him
