  • I went to see rodger 2 days ago! Magnificent I went with ma school! Wanted to get a book signed but then I had low money so I never got to meet him :(

  • A fine poem, well read and true. You can't ask for more than that. Back in the late 60s when the Liverpool Poets were at their height, I vaguely thought of them as no more than 'Pop Poets' who might not endure. How wrong can you get. Roger McGough is one of our best. And a great pleasure to listen to on "Poetry Please".
