I've driven and owned a few BMWs and I don't think BMWs sound so great. They sound good, but only with certain expensive exhausts (Eisenmann), or when revved past 4k RPM.
I think a Mustang GT sounds better than most BMWs, though I'd much rather own any 300+ hp BMW over that primitive beast with a Panhard rod in the rear! Is that right? I thought 2010 was "The Future"
to be honest, the newer engines on bimmers make that sound regardless of turbo or not...when i drove the 335i and heard the high pitched whine in the background i would think "damn those turbos sound so hot"...a couple of weeks later i drove a 328i...it sounded the same..its just the way this engine is

Yup, that would be the N54 (3.0L twin-turbo, even though "35" would make you think it's a 3.5L). Looks and sounds exactly the same as my 335i
