In case you hadn't noticed, there were earlier comments made by me on this video when I was on an earlier account (which is now closed) -- the hint here is the pronunciation of my username. Can you guess what it is? :3
What I don't understand is someone with the inevitable position of being in his position, right there, today... why he would risk humiliating himself in front of a hundred billion people is something that is totally beyond the two of us. That hacker that I speak of is an outrageous person. I had filed, before I opened up the account I am using right now, perhaps the biggest report ever sent to YouTube concerning a hacking crime.
You're libeling some random person for absolutely no reason in a manner that is completely inconsistent with the video and comments. You're essentially spamming somebody's video with three comments about it. So care to elaborate on this hacker?
Yeah, he's a libertarian..if you try searching his name here on YouTube you'll come up with a Libertarian Party ad featuring him..and he was also executive director of Downsize DC.
Too bad that Supermarket Sweep isn't on anymore. I mean they could have the reruns aired on G.S.N., but they're not airing them.
Most common things I've seen people sweep out of the supermarkets into their carts on this game show were expencive meats, laundry detergent, cleaning products, diapers, home & garden equipment, and many other expensive stuff at any supermarket.
at :56 there's a shot with the ceiling showing...fake ceiling illusion created by something attached to the camera?? or did they come up with a way for the hot lights to shine down through the apparent "light fixtures" visible in the shot?
This episode appears to be from the early Lifetime run. All the red is okay & the logo is okay as well. It also appears to be treated more seriously as if you were in a real supermarket ready to shop. 1992 looked like the year when they started to add the extras that made the show better. Things may seem bland now but they are about to get better.
Does anyone have a copy of Canadian Supermarket Sweep recorded in Hamilton ,Ontario in the year of 92 or 93? Is there another website to help ME find my episode of the show ??
I always liked this show even though the host annoyed me to no end for some reason. Maybe because he seemed like a super flamer? Anyway, thanks for posting as I remember watching this show just about every night. Nice to see it again.
What I never understood was at the end of the show the audience area dissappears, so who's applauding? And does any of the food spoil because its nearly a fully stocked grocery store including produce and frozen foods.
Yeah, who cares about Match Game and family Feud when we would care to see more of that classic show, I think if GSN were to air that show, I think they should go back to the very first show, and plus bring the host to GSNLive!!!
GSN is too busy showing too many episodes daily of other things, and whoring chuck woolery in things that aren't even game shows. I don't know if they still do it but they WERE doing it. And why is there POKER on a GAME SHOW network?
I agree, cause they show way too much Match Game, which is boring to me now...i don't mind FF too much but it wouldn't be a bad idea for them to put Supermarket Sweep on GSN :D
Maybe GSN93 himself can hopefully pull it up, cause although I'm used to the '93-'98 Sweep and Mini-sweep theme, this one sounds much more attractive and livelier, esp. w/ the xylophone or whatever it is you hear @ around 2:32 and 2:38 :P
someone should try calling that phone number. i'd love to see supermarket sweep back on tv.

Why the show got cancelled, I don't know. I have watched this game since my childhood, and I feel very sad to see this show being cancelled.

Ahh, David Ruprecht... crazy sweaters, weird delivery, hardcore libertarian politics. Has he been seen on TV since "Sweep"?

The theme's different. From what I can tell, the theme was changed to the better known version in 1993.

But I like the old versions of the music cues better.

I guess I was being selfish there. It was better known to me. And I do like the '93-'98 theme better.
