you don t have to kill him! just go from hole to hole, after a while you will enter some room, the guard will try and brake it you will fall somewhere down and fix the elevator and call the vort down and he will take the sample and you ll take the lift back up straight in front of Alyx :) ==>>> PS THIS PART IS VERY ANNOYING
