don't get me wrong, i appreciate that this is the original version of "hurt", but anyone with an ear for musical talent can tell that johnny cash's cover is better. and no, @skwafatch , i'm not a "country music loving nut ball". actually, i don't even like country music in the slightest. johnny cash sings with more emotion and that's what makes his version of the song.

I didn't say every fan is a country loving nut ball, it just so happens that I personally know too many Cash fans that disrespect Nine Inch Nails. My preference in industrial music and my ability to relate with Trent Reznor enables me to feel an equal amount of emotion from both versions. Regardless of which version has "better musical talent" the original will always appeal to me more. So without getting into any debates I can honestly say that both versions are amazing.

I remember when NIN came to Springfield MO in the early nineties...like '92 or something at the Shrine Mosque. That was one of the BEST if not THE BEST event that happened here no matter what outrage stirred the religious or conservative groups.
