  • Thumbs up if you are here to use the animal words against Israelis :D

  • @OSARIOUS This is the kind of negative attitude that lessons like this are fighting. Dehumanizing any human being of any origin is wrong. Why would you call anyone an animal?

  • maha where is saluki dog ?

  • definitely one of my favorite videos because i love

    1) to see you sisters getting along well with each other;

    2) u showing the similarities with arabic; and

    3) bobby. :D

    thanks a lot!

  • כלב יפה. אני רוצה מנשק הבובי ;)

  • i have this weird attraction for girls with big eyes!! you are beautiful!!

  • t'es de quel origine ?

  • @spidermar1 Si c'est à Maha que vous parlez, elle n'est pas francophone :( c'est une arabe palestinienne.

    (Translation for the non-francophones:

spidermar1: Where do you come from? [literally, 'What origin are you from?']

Me: If it's Maha you're talking to, she's not francophone :( she's a Palestinian Arab.)

  • aw boby died..

  • Soos in Greek is Greek God (Zeus) :D Bedankt (thanks) for the lesson.

  • in english we say heart as "Qelb" the sound of "Q"

but wen u replace Q of qelb then it becum Kelb that iz dog

  • I thought "Kalb" meant "Heart".How do you say "Heart" in Arabic?

  • @YouShouldBeSpankful Kalb is a dog, but Heart uses a different type of K that is deeper sounding, i dont know how to convey it in english but yes they do sound similar in english but sound very different when said in arabic.

Also; a poetic way of saying heart is Fouad.

  • @YouShouldBeSpankful

    kelb is dog

kalb with a special sound en K is heart

  • @YouShouldBeSpankful Heart in English sounds like 'Qalb'

Dog in English sounds like 'Kalb' .. so the variation of k and q letters make the difference in the meaning

  • I really need to study more... How come "Asfoor" and "Tsepor" looks like the same (fonetic)? lol. It´s hard for a brazilian guy to understand that similarity.

  • bye bobby

  • ha kelev hamud!!! ve kamuvan, gam atem ;)

  • Naghem , what the deer called in hebrew ?

    شسمه الغزال ؟

  • @ayseraltaee1 ayala = deer ;)

  • The problem with your courses is that the 2 of you are so beautiful it is distracting! Can't you get some ugly blokes to read your scripts? Or wear burkhas?

...jus' kidding... What about diminutives? I like the way cat (hatool) becomes kitten (hatooltool) and dog (כלב) becomes puppy (כלבלב). Cool trick... Is it the same in Arabic?

  • @TheGeraldemerald No, in arabic, there aint no role that makes things smaller like hatool hatooltool, because every group of words have their own grammar.

  • About fish and shark?

  • @MrAki3461 fish in arabic "Samakah" in hebrow "Dag" Shark in arabic "Kersh" in hebrow "kareesh"

  • Bahahaha R.I.P Boby...sorry idk why that's so funny to me. im a douche

  • i have a littler problem wiith you accent ...you don't say the eyen so good but ...

  • Funny how the dog barked when heard it's name :P

  • boby is too much noisy ;p

maha nagam thank you for this lesson

  • ما شاء الله

    عربي انلجش ايطالي داتش عبري

    مو مخلية لغة تعتب عليكي

  • @Ronnie3811

only the first 2 are used commonly

when reffer to a puppy the word "GUR" is used with the animal in plural\

    lion cub = gur arayot

  • Thanks for the lesson - you dog is so cute! What kind is it?

  • your so beatefull!

  • since when you know arabic Maha? :D

  • hahahha i love ur videos

  • I like the way you combine 2 languages with each other. By comparing Arabic&Hebrew words, it's easier to learn them.

  • @MoowFlavour

I agree with this, it really helped when I was studying the languages together. One of my arabic professors was compared it to hebrew, this helped me learn both languages. thanks sisters!

  • If Akhbar means mouse then when hebrews hear muslims say allah Akbar to them it must mean god is a mouse, or Alah,, cursed is a mouse. Weird stuff, thanks for teaching us hebrew maha, thank you so much. bless you.

  • doesn't na3am means 'yes'?

    that's your sisters name right?

  • @Mienoena

her sisters name is Nagham not na3am :)

  • @Mienoena her sister's name is nagham not na3am :) .. nagham نغم means "melody" or "rhythm"

  • @Mienoena her name is not na3am, her name is nagham. It's written with ghayn, not with 3ayn.

  • @Mienoena no no, it is naham, not na'am, there is a "ha" in her name. alef-ha-meem

  • @Mienoena sorry, I mean noon-ha-meem

  • I want to learn more Arabic :(

  • Hey Maha! Just wondering, do you speak aramaic?

  • @BatoulBeirut i'm pretty sure aramaic is a dead language I had to learn it when I was a kid and that's what I was told.

  • @Guardian435 yeah, I would've thought so, it's such an old language but I was watching this short documentary about the christians in Iraq and it said that many of them can speak aramaic. So can you speak aramaic? :)

  • @BatoulBeirut aanaa mSothen soorith (I speak Aramaic)! Here are the animals in my dialect: dog = kalbaa cat = qaaToo horse = soosaa donkey = khmaaraa frog = piq`aa mouse = `aqubbraa lion = aryaa tiger/leopard = nimraa bird = Sipraa/Teraa snake = khoowaa bear = dibbaa elephant = peelaa monkey = qopaa camel = gumlaa And Maha has said before that she doesn't know Aramaic, but can understand a lot of it because she knows Arabic and Hebrew. ;)
  • @Karl998 in khaliji dialect they say Qaatwa about the cat..same as the aramic..

  • Is there any possibility to make word sounds little or cute, like kat -> kitten, dog - doggy, puppy?
