The first 90 Seconds in this Movie were one the best 90 Seconds in my whole life ... never had such cosmic emotions again undtil now. I was standing with my girl-friend direct at the bridge over river seine in front of the skyscapers with the 100 Meters high seven-segment countdown ....
2.5 millions people were there. Amazing. I was born in 90 and I'm french and I enjoy it. Jean Michel allows to techno music, house music to be great. But now dance music is just for money. I'm a little bit despite.
And at the end JMJ said :
"Bonsoir à tous!
Ca nous fait très très plaisir que vous soyez venu aussi nombreux, on s'y attendait pas.
On espère que vous allez passer une bonne soirée et que le concert vous plaira"
The countdown and the First Song Oxygene 4 were the most intense, stunning and huge music experience of my Life ... in Paris La Defense at 14.07.1990 - 201 Years after the French Revolution.
@MrAntipattern actually you are wrong. French revolution started 5th of may 1789.
Jarre and all the french people celebrate the biggest moment of it all : the "fête de la Nation" which stood a year after Bastille day. The assault on the castle became famous almost a century after.
Then it's time for me once again to watch Paris La Defense this evening because I love to much to watch that Laser and lightshow because it's my favourite concert and the best :D
"Bonsoir à tous, ça nous fait très très plaisir que vous soyez venu aussi nombreux, on s'y attendait pas. on espère que vous allez passer une bonne soirée et que le concert vous plaira"
"Hey everyone, it makes us very very happy that you came in such numbers, not expected. We hope you'll spend a good evening and that you enjoy the concert"
I'm a little disappointed, when nobody can't help me what JMJ said to his fans on his concert Paris La Defense, but I know only his 3 words he said, before he and his aides were playing Equinoxe 4 :D He said : Bonsoir à tous = Good evening all :D But other words he said to his fans after he and his aides were playing Oxygene 4 I want to know in French what he said or maybe in English :D I will be pleased :D
Yes, JMJ playing Oxygene 4 live in Paris, but the concert begins with Paris La Defense and then JMJ and his aides are playing Oxygene 4 after the melody Paris La Defense is finish :D
I can watch this concert over and over again if I want to from my VHS or burned DVD disc hehe :D I love this concert from Paris 1990 and it's my best favourite concert I had here in my apartment :D
The reason it was, the sinking of the ship that transported the pyramid- stage and another technical materials essential to the show He said that after this event, he was so frustrated that he couldnt to prove for 2 years Mexican food Look Making the Steamroller Sky , part 4 of 6, at 7:30 min.
il faut rester poli yannick, jackpott0169 n'aime peut-être pas du tout mais il est resté courtois, même si son commentaire est totalement négatif et subjectif
I was there, it was my second JMJ concert, after Destination Docklands. I am sure I will never see anything like this in my lifetime again. JMJ was, and still is, the master of live concerts. Lets have another massive City sized concert Jean Michel. PLEASE !!!
I remember watching this concert at about 1 in the morning on ITV in 1990. The best concert he has ever done, even though Mike Mansfield edited it to bits! Excellent!
The only thing I remember was a brief appearance of Jarre at that time in a Dutch television program where he announced the video release of this concert. They aired a tiny bit of Calypso 1, performed with the steeldrum band and two giant creatures. I thought, being 11 at the time, that he was the god of synthesizer. I didn't have the VHS for untill around 1996, but I've played it so often, that's now almost erased, lol! Does anyone know if there are DVD's of his classic concerts available?

Do any of you know if he ever played latin america?
ElFrankus 2 years ago
He was supposed to play in Mexico, Teotihuacan site, in 1991, but for financial reasons, he couldn't perform there.
jeanbatman2002 2 years ago
Ok, but apart form that, nowhere else in latin america, right? not before or since?
ElFrankus 2 years ago
No, he never did perform there. There are high expectations for him to go in Mexico and maybe in Brasil.

Some people call Jarre the god of light. I can see why...
Those light-shows are amazing as allways!
