Quite possibly the best Castlevania game of all time, and definitely the most brilliant soundtrack ever. Konami really hit a peak with this title and like most peaks, it has been downhill from here. Enjoy.

The baddest sword I ever found in this game was the Crissaegrim. It was dropped by the Schmoos in the Reverse Library. One press of the attack button and the sword would slash so fast you could barely see it, but it hit so many times. It was so worth killing several Schmoos to get.

it's a strange feeling for us old gamers, this game came out 13 years ago and it still feels fresh, artistic, beautiful and its music beats most games today which has just become too complicated and overly orchestrated and no longer memorable, but when this game came out, 13 years ago put you back stab in the middle of the 2600, early NES era. point is, "old games" today kick ass while "old games" back then sucked. 1996-2000 good years for gaming.

This game is so damn good it got me into the 2D castlevania games two years ago and this is the only PSP game I own with Dracula X chronicles.

Even if I'm not playing the game I just listen to the soundtrack on my PSP which is the reason why I still use my PSP just for music and storeing pictures n so on.

It is for retreating fast, everyone uses it for a dash though. I guess the normalest dash is the wolf dash.
