Some people are idiots. Looking at all this hate at these jokes that were supposedly stolen. Some comments on here r on it. Comics will come up with the same jokes/ideas from time to time but just put in their own words. So mencia may or may not have heard the other versions of the jokes when he made his. But It's not like people won't take an idea an try to make it better. That's how we progress, with or without mistakes along the way and not everyone gets it right.
The difference between Carlos and the other two is that Ari opened for Carlos, and did that joke. So clearly Carlos heard it, and knew he shouldn't repeat it... but he said it anyways.

I don't think anyone is arguing that comics routinely come up with similar jokes. I think I've heard the "aliens see humans walking dogs/picking up crap, they think dogs are the masters" joke so many times from so many different comics it's annoying. I don't think anyone is arguing that comics routinely come up with similar jokes. I think I've heard the "aliens see humans walking dogs/picking up crap, they think dogs are the masters" joke so many times from so many different comics it's annoying. The problem is how the joke is delivered; the lines, the expressions, the mood, etc., etc. Compare Ari's and Carlos' take on the same joke, and you can see the stark similarities.

I believe Ari wrote it. I can't say for D.L. or Lopez. Sometimes celebraties have writers. But more than likely Mencia stoled it. This may not seem fair but that's the problem when you steal. The reality is, it is just plain not a very good joke. Plain and simple. It is a set-up demolished by an uninspired, obvious, and unoriginal punchline that takes you exactly where you would expect. ANYBODY could have thought up that joke, Hughley, Mencia, Shaffer, and Lopez notwithstanding.
