for people that have trouble with connecting to wi-fi in general, here's (i think) the solution. You are all connected (or attempting to connect) to an access point that have security passwords called "WPA-PSK" or something. Normal Nds games (like animal crossing) simply cannot connect to WPA. You will need to ask someone to set the security to "WEP". You will have a new password, so you will need to chnge the password. If you have done that you should be able to connect without problems.

I try to connect to the Nintendo WFC and I connect to my router and at first its all green but then after it turns red and leaves with an error code...I don't get it I typed in the WEP code and everything and connects but yeah later nothing happens D: What do I do? @rjessica101 You need atleast 1 wifi bar (3 is the best) to get started on wifi. If you don't have any signal with wifi bars...then well you can't get a fc or wifi.

register? you don't have to register. I didn't. all you need is a nintemdo wi-fi usb connecter, and the disc that comes with it, you install it on your computer and then, go into your nintendo ds and find the connection. it has to be set up for the computer, but that's easy, after that, you have wifi. you just go to(in animal crossing) the gate and talk about wifi etc, with the gaurd

Well, a few years back, they suse to sell Nintendo Wifi USB Ports... but there are very few stores still selling them because they malfuntion or some sort. I would check for availibility in some stores and go on from there.
