Weirdest Thunderstorm in Warwick NY 2007

Take a look at the bottom of the screen above the building just above the building on the left hand side. You will see something move left to right at a rapid pace. and disappear . not sure what it is.

The hole is actually a break in the updraft ahead of the storm core. The really dark leading clouds mark the updraft into the building storm. But an updraft is not a continuous thing. Therefore, you saw a hole where the updraft was not present, or as present as nearby.

Cool. I took a video of a supercell type storm in the UK just a couple of weeks ago. I too have a weird light that shoots across the screen.

I dont really get it.....what is so interesting here? Maybe its just that it looked more spectacular in person....the only weird thing I hear ya talking about, is some kinda "hole" in the clouds....I guess I can kinda see that. Still doesn seem very weird looking to me. It there something Im missing here?

I'm not from Warwick, I'm in northern New Jersey, but I think we experienced this same storm. I remember a similar incident from about two years ago. We get tons of thunderstorms around this area during the summer but I distinctly recall a strong storm that basically hung over the area for about an hour. It was a supercell with a visible updraft, and you could see the circulation of the clouds. It was cool as hell.
