  • Согласна! =)

  • Прекрасное решение для дома! =) Себе тоже такое хочу! =)

  • Man, I'm so getting this. I really want to be a drummer but don't have room for an acoustic kit. It's almost like they made this just for me :D Thanks yamaha! I can program it to EZDrummer and it will feel just like a real drum kit

  • Do u have to use the high hat foot pedal together with the high hat pad or can you just play them separately?

  • If iwant to record my session with the sounds of Superior Drummer on pc and for example the tom of yamaha sounds as the hit hat on the vst.......it's possible to change the midi note in to the yamaha ?

  • Un da DD65 ein bin ein Berliner vas is das und der vasser ich donner und blitzen. Got in himmel. Schwein fleishe und der gutten ze achtung. Handi hoch das bangen mit de DD65. Aufwiedersehen

  • He's got sexy shoes.

  • Hi, do you know if It would work with any other drum brain to improve the sound?

    Thanks

  • ach lass ihn doch wenigstens deutsch reden

  • How good are the foot pedals compared to a real drum pedal?

  • Thumbs up if the start of this video reminds you of the Creative Prodigy Drums Video!

    THIS IS WOCK AND WOLL!

  • I got this for christmas. I was thinkin about selling it because I like REAL drums but, SHOULD I SELL IT?

  • If your a musician, of course nothing sounds better than a acoustic drums. This drums will not replace the real thing. So dont discourage someone to buy this and practice at home. I love the idea of being small, convenient, and almost close enough to a real drum especially at my apartment. So dont listen to this "professionals" buy it and practice, practice!!

  • for me it is just a toy. i'm a guitarrist but also can play drums and nothing is better than the true sound of a acoustic drum

  • @sckrotho this is not about the sound... it's about portability and ease of transport...

  • is there a lefty flip?

  • @kodydstevens93 yes there is :)

  • epic drummer face!!

  • I am a total beginner, and yet this piece didn't satisfy my modest needs.

The problem is that if you hit one pad too hard, a nearby pad could make a sound too. If you hit two pads simultaneosly, it could happen that one of the pads doesn't make a sound.

This behaviour is also described in the manual, chapter Setting the Pad Sensitivity (page 18) and in my honest opinion makes the drum set pretty useless, also for beginners.

  • i just bough mine today...it was awesome!!! still reading the manual...

  • i think the second crash cymbal as he said sound like china :)

  • how will I amplify this,.?

  • @01toyutoy10 It has a built-in speaker

  • guys this is a toy....dont buy it

  • @aassyr1111 when you look at it with a brain of a child its a toy for a professional its the best..

  • @Gladsonbaby i have tried it it sucks big time

  • really good :D

  • can you do double bass?

  • I haven't understood how i can put in this drum the double bass pedal. Can someone explicate me how put it?

    Thx!!!

  • @HaTeCrEw93 I dunno if this will answer your question but if you use the custom kit option by clicking the "ASSIGN" button and pressing the hi-hat pedal and then you will have numbers come up on your mini screen, these are numberes of drum sounds. You should now find the bass drum sounds, you can listen to the sound of the drum sound or find it via your manual that came with the dd-65, Once you are done assigning all pads, your custom set should be custom set 1 and should be set to your liking.

  • This is perfect for anyone who does music at university!

i want one when i move out my parents place this seems like a perfect buy since i'm gunna be broke all the time lol

  • i'm going to buy these,i want some info, can someone tell me if it's as easy as the acoustic drums to play? i mean if you are used to a normal drum set will it be the same?

  • But isn't the pedal hard to use?

  • TECHNO KIT :O ROCKS!

  • i have one of these.. and they really dont sound that bad at all..

  • I got this !!! and its awesome.!!! the speakers arent too great for direct playing.. using an amp or an headphones make it sound too good..

  • gooooooood

  • do you guys recomend this for someone that never played drums before? Cant buy a realy drum cause of the noise and money.

So do you guys think this is a good buy for a begginer?

  • i suggest for a beginner like you to buy a real drumset first, in a real drumset you could feel and control how hard or soft you hit the drum, in that way your pulse will improve. but what i liked about dd 65 it has diiferent sound effects, volume control and headphone when i dont want to make noise with my neighbors.

  • @graphx1024

    thanks for the advice!

  • noo buy a acoutic first

  • @Set7obo Obviously your neighbours are very understanding people lol.

  • Yes. I bought this as a beginner. Definitely buy it. You'll get your moneys worth.

  • @Burnedmyfrets I WILL!

  • @Burnedmyfrets hey do you have to get an amp for it?or it have some kind of speakers that plays the sound?

    Thanks...

  • yes i never drum before its great

  • perfect to avoid noisy rehearsals... i'm buying one! Cheers!!! :)

  • i was wondering if we can save the music to a pc with this drum kit

  • he clearly said home recording on pc

  • i like the teckno style....i was wondering if it can be connected to pc and if we can save the music we play to the pc

  • sounds good, I'd like to buy one.

  • hey, where can i get one of these

  • it looks stupid & sounds terrible. why on earth would you bother?

  • because it has midi in+out so you can use it as a midi controller for programs like EZ-drummer wich actually has GREAT sounds

  • @RVanAs Just got one to do just that. Though I'm using Session Drummer 2 and N.I. Pop drums through E-mu 1616 cardbus through texas instruments Cardbus to pci card on desktop PC.

  • @stormyandcold You got a DD65? I was wondering, does it come with any kind of case?

  • @Zormo777 nah. mine was 2nd hand and came in a generic box.

  • Honestly tempted to get one. But the fact that the pads are rather small make me feel a player would have a tendency to miss the pad. Any experience players can comment on this?

  • I think the pads are so small because this set has to be as small as possible but its still playable!

  • I turned the pedals upside down and duct taped them to a large piece of cardboard. Now they stay in place and I can play the bass drum much more consistently.

  • hello,i was wondering if you could plug in a song by linkin park or slipknot or any band you like into your headphones, mute the drums in it and play to it.THX

  • Come on!

  • You can't just mute out the drums on a song, you'd need a special playalong version that was recorded without a drum track. However, when you mix in the music with the volume turned down just a tiny bit so that the drum kit is a little louder, all you will hear is your own drumming unless you miss a beat. And if you do, you will immediately notice. So to learn a song it's actually better to drum to a version with a drum track in it, so you will notice when you're makng a mistake.

  • Unless the drum kit comes with a song by one of those bands (which I know it doesn't) you can not. You'd need to have the master tracks of the song to mute just the drums.

  • hi i want to learn if i can change the bass drumm pedal and to conneect a bass drumm pedal from yamaha dtx series

and to change hihat with an other from dtx series .

  • Guys is it worth??? i am a tharsh metal drummer......is it worth?

  • depends man..U use double pedal?

  • yah dude i use.....i heard that its possible to adjust it to play double pedal......ha?? is it worth?

  • hmm...Then it's is worth. BUT if it's more expensive than a Acoustic Drum, then u should get the acoustic drum.

Anw, i suggest you bring ALL ur money and just rounding at the mall or music centre. Then, if u have enough money and want to get that drum, then go ahead..

  • ok one thing more.....i hit hard i mean that when i play i hit somewhat hard is it ok for the dd65 to get hard hits???

i used to have an acoustic kit but already sold bcos i cant play here in home.

  • Hmm..Should be man.

But u can just window shopping now, then when u have enough money, go get the one that suits ur budget..

  • i have the money.....i can get it tomorrow if i want but im kinda afraid that after i get it....i don't like it.....so u recommend it?

  • haha...OH MAN, i wish i'm a drummer but i'm a guitarist...Anw, you can do research before you get ur drum..And dont get drum early just bcoz u're bored or whatsoever, do research first. Test the drum first then get them. And if u have enough money, get a headphone..

  • Yes it is

  • not anymore....i went to the store it sucks....the pads int sensitive at all

  • Hi!

You know if cubase supports the Yamaha DD-65??

  • It's a MIDI controller. Does cubase support MIDI?

  • When I think hip hop shuffle...I think of a white german.

  • uhm.... they are cool but I want some electronic drums that still have the feel of a real set .... this are too compact ....

  • can u make that thing double pedal drum kit?!

  • yep, u can assign any of the sounds to any of the pads or pedals, so u could have a double bass drum if u wanted.

  • yeah!

  • yes, you just have to assign bass drum sounds to both pedals.

  • is this worth it? and what all comes with it?

  • i want this!

  • When you buy this drums kit

does it come with a stand?

    SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY : )

  • no, without stand...

  • if you buy the combo with the stand yes :P

  • no, it also doesnt have a power adaptor.

  • nope u gotta but a separate snare drum stand

  • i have the same thing and a video of it (not the BEST drumming) if anyone wants to check it out

  • i have this kit! :D

  • oh, this looks so much more fun as i thought it would be. for me it's to late, as i have just have bought a electronic drumkit allready, but to be honest, this does not even looks half bad, and have much more sounds :-) the only advantage my roland hd-1 has is that the setup of the pads comes closer to a real drumkit. still, i never expeted this to be so much fun :-) thanks for posting !

  • i was wondering where is connected in the output cause it sounds really good different than others videos where is only the sound of the dd 65 How can i make it sound like this?

  • hiting the pads -.-

  • I'm so getting one of these.

  • thanks, i finally found the site here. I juz bought one DD65, it comes with a adaptor, hi hat n bass pedal, n drumsticks, it's worth buying, but I don't hv a stand fof the instrument. May I noe is there a standard size stand for the drum set? or there are many sizes, pls advice. Thank You!

  • any snare drum stand will do

  • ok thanks, i will get one very soon.

  • your welcome

  • gutentag

  • does this unit come with the power supply? please respond.

  • Depends on where you purchase it some give you a power supply ie Argos in the UK where othe online suppliers will sell you a supply

  • Does anyone know if the the footswitch inputs are the same? I tried plugging a momentary switch in to each pedal input. The hihat worked but not the bass drum. The bass drum does work with the pedal that came with the unit.

I was also wondering if anyone has tried the Alesis DM5ProHHPedal for either the hihat or bass drum?

    Thanks,

  • it's nice sound at 3:30 :D

  • I think the foot buttons (!) aren't good for beginners because you never learn a proper pedal technique with this machine...

  • Yamaha offers optional material to replace them: a "kick pad" (ref KP65) enabling you to use a classic pedal (you have to provide it!) for the bass drum and a hi-hat pedal (ref HH65)

  • best drum face ever lol

  • how the fuck did he get this in stereo? through midi?

    thats cheating!

  • it has dual stereo channels.

  • Can you use the hi-hat pedal to activate the snare? I'm thinking of playing kick drum and snare with my feet while playing guitar.

  • you can assign them to anything

    and pad to any sound

    including the pedals

  • nice )

  • er spielt ja immer fast das gleiche.

  • awesome

  • I think with a monitor you will have a better sound!

  • do u have to connect them through a laptop/pc or through an amp/mixer to sound like that ? because i really don't think they sound anything like that if they aren't plugged in somewhere.. :)

  • i think a guitar amp is enough...

  • well i have a Harley Benton HB 80R (65W). How do u think it'll sound ? :)

  • my favorite part is min 1:55 old school 80s

  • like u then crashpedo

  • ja....das ist gut....sehr gut

  • 6:20-7:50

  • my favorite part is 6:20-to the end

  • one thing this video does not mention.....can you switch this set for a left handed drummer..man we never get respect

  • yes you can. each pad is mappable and it is a symmetric set, so it can easily be switched for a lefty. =)

  • can u plug this to a normal stereo soundsystem? i dont have a p.a. and i wanted to know if its possible.....thanks

  • it all sounds good except the cymbals. they sound cheap

  • does anyone know if this is capable of recording with garage band on the imac?

  • it is.

  • Can u use the hi- hat pedalas a second bass drum pedal?

  • yeah, this is a good kit for people who want to get an idea of how drums work

  • I get to play this next week!

  • this looks like a great kit..i just bought a mapex Q-series..sounds okay..should i buy this?

  • im getting that next week :D

  • exelente

  • im takin it you had one once and dint like it yeah?

  • yes u can take it like that .If u want drums that sound like they are from the 1980s and fils that sound like a 80s boy jorge band .Then go out and buy the peice of shit.

  • way ahead of you dude , i got one and it rocks, well worth the money you douche XD

  • i have two words for ya SHUT.....UP

  • hi der

  • Great demo. I just bought the DD-65 and am pretty impressed with it. The kick drum foot pad doesn't seem very sensitive/responsive though. I have to stomp pretty hard to get it to work. Just wondering if this is normal.

  • @ KodeHaKKer, after a while you won't notice anymore, i think that it's just a question of practice :)

  • i got it and am disappointed with the bass pedal too. sounds too quiet have to hit it hard, plus doubles are next to impossible! arrrgh!

  • Well hmmmm its not suposed to be have you tried cleaning the pad and underneath it some times if theres bits in there it wonk work as well if it still dosent work try getting the people you bought it off to try and swap the pedal fro another

  • Same here

  • It is great kit but instead of playing the drum, I think you touch the drum.

I don't see you can have any punch or play like a real drum on this DD-65.

  • If you want a real drum you buy a real drum, so what??

  • I contacted yamaha about the midi issue, this is the reply i got from them:

Regarding your inquiry, it is the specification of the DD-65 that the pedal

does not influence the MIDI signal. The MIDI transmission note of each pad can be set in the FUNCTION settings. However, pad 2 is exception to the MIDI transmission note setting function when employing pedal 2. As its specification, Pedal 2 does not work with MIDI transfer. continues......

  • - from previous message - This is because the tone on the connected external sound source side can be uncertain in

    the MIDI output.

However, we see big demands from customers for the Hi-Hat issue on DD-65 to

be solved. We would once again look into the case and consider what we

could do for it. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this matter.

    Best regards,

    Yamaha Corporation

  • whats the diff between this and the roland SPD's ?? why are they so Waaay expensive ??

  • hmm i don't know weather to keep my dd-55c or get this

  • As edwardratboy i wouldn't change a dd-55c for a dd-65, they are similar.

  • can you get a double bass for this?

  • Sure, you can create 3 custom kits and assign whatever sound you want to any of the pads or the pedals.

  • You can also buy the optional KP-65 kick pad which is a vertical pad on a stand played with a normal kick pedal. You can play it with a double kick pedal.

  • i paid it 220 euros, i also got a snare stand for 25€ to put it on.

  • how much does it cost??

  • wow!

  • I got one for my son, i'm a drummer and i can say that's it's a a good buy for the money.

The sounds are goos and the sensivity of the pads is quite good, The pedals are not bad and the internal speakers do a good job.

All in all it's a good portable drum kit that can be used also for it's sound effects.

It's got a line in and a line out and also has midi capability.

    Hope that helps

  • I also want to add that the sound through a PA/line-out is very different and much richer than with the onboard speakers. The sounds are really good and you can use the kit for almost anything.

  • k00wl.

Question, though... Is the sound of the DD-65 louder enough this time? The DD-55c has very low sounds even at max unless it's connected to a stereo...

I was planning to get a Roland V-Stage Series Drum Kit, but then again, I can easily bring the DD-65 anywhere for jamming sessions with my friends.

    Recommendations or suggestions, anyone?

  • no its not loud at all. i had it before but then got a real acoustic set. it breaks really easily too.

  • Darn, I knew it... :(

Anyway, thanks for the info! ^_^

  • no, actually, they're really reliable. i have one and i thinks its really loud, very portable, extremely versatile and great fun to have. also its great to learn or play the drums whenever. but if you already have a dd-55c then i would not reccomend it because it its not really any different at all. they're both great drum sets.
