And also the American's did not help us as much as the Russian's who were so massive Germany hadn't a hope of holding them back. Plus America, for once in it's cushy life should try fighting a war were it's own homelands industrial centers are destroyed. Our's were yet we still lasted for 5+ year. @Pawnbroker00 Well, polls have shown that most of her subjects are in support of keeping the monarchy going, and she's a strong international figure promoting the UK, as well as being the patron of over 600 charities. So I'd say that if she's pigging the government's money, a lot of it is going back to charity, and the brits are okay with it.

@qwe07 the monarch raises around 500,000,000 pounds annually they spend less than a quarter of that, its actually more beneficial for them to be kept then removed, even if they spent more than they brought in name one politician that spends less than they take in, if they take in anything!

Who dissolves Parliament?

Have you not heard of orders in council & orders in Queens council?

Have you not heard of the Royal Prerogative?

Who invites a political party to form a Government?

Who do the armed services swear allegience to and who is head of them?

To remove the office of PM would take need no legislation nor would it effect the British constitution to remove the monarch would need legislation and effect the constitution.

You miss the point completely.

The Governor General is the representative of the Queen and is the embodiment of her power in the State that they Govern on her behalf.

The PM ask's the Queen for a dissolution which the Queen grants parliament has nothing to do with it.

My point is that the PM & Government may excersize the powers but the Queen holds them, so that whilst the PM has de facto power the Queen had de jure power.
