  • There's only one person you can rely on in the coming years..... guess who? YOU!

  • Why is it so hard to understand that maybe the governments are doing it simply because it's cheaper? Photovoltaic panels are very expensive and still not very efficient, whereas solar thermal power is basically a mirror and a turbine. Point is, you need lots of heat to make it efficient, lots of surface area, that's why it makes no sense to run this in your backyard.

  • racerfan...IF you say so....lol

  • oh..and...LMAO @ governments are doing it becuase it's cheaper.

GOV waste is one of the most sickening.

  • Another problem with photovoltaic cells is that they are affected by partial clouding a whole lot more than solar thermal reflectors.

  • Epic Fail vid. Fox sucks.

  • Their assessment of those ballot initiatives being defeated in CA as being a rebuke of Obama's renewable energy ideas is flat out wrong. I live in CA and voted them down because they were poorly written. Give me a well written one and I'd be happy to vote for it. But those in particular were awful, just like most of the crap we get on the ballot here in CA.

  • Agreed...but the premise that OUR GOVERNMENT is the best entitity to bring us energy independence is still wrong. Know what I mean?

Where in CA are you? I am in SD

  • I totally agree. Getting the gov't out of the way is the best way to accomplish it.

What a coincidence, I'm in SD too!!! Message me.

  • Daryll..what part. I want to start getting the Ron Paul supporters back. Many lost their momentum after the disappointing election but we have to understand it is about the MESSAGE more than anything and now about support for the LIBERTY REPUBLICANS he endorses. Most of the group younger people have vanished and I want to start it up again. Are you interested?

  • Good video. Good information. I don't understand why the stupid politicians can't come up with a nonpartisan energy independence bill that will make us independent. They need to compromise and get it done before it is too late, before oil prices go up to 400 a barrel.

  • Thanks jbran.....they CAN come up with it..but then they won't get as much money.

  • I agree and I think they can. But they know they can keep us dependent on THEM if they don't. In fact...why can't we ALL have affordable solar panels in our homes without getting taxed? Why? because THEY won't get a piece of the pie if we do. It's all about CONTROL and getting OUR money.

  • You can get solar panels. The problem is they are very expensive and solar thermal is much cheaper. Fresnel reflector arrays are even cheaper than trough design. Look it up.

  • And what makes them expensive??? THERE is the key.

  • What makes them expensive? They are hard to make. No big conspiracy needed. Why is porcelain more expensive than clay?

Government should control critical industries like energy, medicine, water, etc. Capitalism is too greedy to work in all areas (save it for luxury market). The problem is the Government is controlled by corporations and lobbies so you'd still have energy under their control so there is no way out. Enjoy your stay. Democracy has failed.

  • great post

  • Thanks!

  • Germany has bought all of ASIAN factories SOLAR and they Run 24/7 and can not keep up with Germanys demands We need to OPEN the EMPTY CAR Factories in Flint and Detriot and make SOALR like ASIA !

  • Ok...but not run by the government...right??? I am all in if able to be done by the private sector. No?
