Interesting. May have to look into these. I've been using 5.1 speakers (15watt sub) that I've had since 2004...love them to bits, but they take up too much room on my corner desk and I'm considering a dual monitor setup.

You know what would be interesting? Pitting the Swan M10 against the Companion 2. The M10 is $120, but comes with a sub. Not to mention the M10 is just downright sexy! The Bose speakers look pretty repulsive in my opinion, but looks are not what I'm after.

I would say they're very competitive with the C2 since they're small and self-powered, but they don't have the Bose name, which jacks prices up quite a bit.

The M10 is available from Audioinsider, but is unfortunately backordered.

The best speakers I got for that price are the M-Audio Studiophile AV-30. Would be nice to have a review of these, even if they came out some years ago.

@marquesbrownlee Oh yes, it would! You have a decent mic there and at 1080p, Audioquality is easily good enough to show the difference in soundquality at least. I do lot's of Drum/Bass-Workshop videos on my other chanel and the quality of the soundsource is clearly audible.

Hey Marques,the speaker have this big housing since the driver is so small.Sounds weird, but If you want to get a decent amount of bass out of those small speakers, you have to build a bass reflex system and that requiers some room and a solid cabinet...

I paid $25 for my compact Alltec speakers and the sound is absolutely amazing! The bas that comes from them is astounding. Why pay 99 or even 600 dollars when u can buy cheap ones that are sometimes even better? Great review!
