  • matt plays a straight blast beat there. just watch some videos of him playing live and you'll see what i mean. its a subtle difference but its obvious. its still a good cover for being programmed.

  • good job man, except at 1:11, its a blast beat, meaning its like a roll except one hand is on a cymbal, the other on a snare

  • @dkeller20m Yes you are right. It is supposed to be right, left, right, left, etc. between the ride and snare. A blast beat however can be many things. What I showed at 1:11 is an example of a blast beat where the left & right hand play eight notes at the exact same time
