Whatever happened to RusticBeauty?? She hasnt put up a vid in almost 2 years and her channel is unavailable. Thats so odd I hope she's ok cuz she seemed really stressed and concerned in this vid. Come back RusticBeauty!! We luv ur vids!!
She is awesome...maybe she was super stressed out or something but she could have at least given us a heads up instead of dissapearing like that. *sigh* i hope all is well.
@Liago4 Lol. Bc it is interesting how you say that you have been looking for these type of women but in your area the white men have snatched them up. I just wanted to know the situation :).
@GodsGenuineGift funny thing its a vid on the right im lookin right at that says my white boyfriend judges my natural hair lmfao... its an epidemic cause of NBA and NFL players
@GodsGenuineGift pretty much... hoping i didnt come off like a racist fool but I am not a big fan of white women and in my neighborhood the white women throw themselves at us and the black girls seem to be developing almost a disdain for us.
@Liago4 No, you don't sound racist at all. Hey you have a preference to love who you want to love. Why are the Black women against the brothas in the neighborhood? What is going on?
@GodsGenuineGift my beliefs are that there have been so many black dudes here with white women that the black girls are fed up and pissed so that have started goin with the white dudes who have already been chasing them for years.. Here the black women are either gay or with white guys. I am out a lot and that seems to be maybe 85 % of what I see
@Liago4 Hmmmm. Do you think that BW in Philly are attracted to men with certain features, status or attitude? That wouldn't make sense as to why they wouldn't go for the Black men though. Also the way you describe it...that doesn't sound good. Do you live in the suburbs or the city? Bc I know there has to be some BW out there who are looking for good Black men. Maybe the good Black men are hard to find so they go get the white boys.
@robo3060 You are the one who's insecure. I don't see how you are making your parents proud with your use of profanity and writing in text messaging format. How proper is that? Why don't you grow up and make your parents proud by expanding your vocabulary and use educated adjectives to express yourself!!!! Use your mind and time on more productive activities like picking up an English text book please. P.S. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." - UNCF
omg i LOVE ur hair, its so beautiful. and if anyone says black women cant have long hair, ill show them ur video. also a quick tip to straightneing it, try using Organic Root Stimulators Natures Shine Spray while flat ironing, it makes hair silky straight without making it super heavy from oils
hey love your hair so thick . i was wondering do you keep your hair braided alot .or does your hair just grow like that. cuz im trying to get my hair to be thick but i just cant. what should i do .
Oh my word!! I just saw your video in the suggestions from way back when your hair was above your shoulders, now its BELOW~!! Uhmm *clicking subscribe* You're blessed!!!
im very happy that you have made this video. a lot of women of African descent need to stop perming their hair and putting all of that weave in it. we can grow our hair, just stop doing things to it thatisnt supposed to be done to it. and take care of it. we are beautiful, stopp thinkning that we are not!
I don't know how I got to this video but, Im glad I did, you're a natural beauty and I want you to know that as a Black Man, I appreciate you and what your're trying to communicate to us. Not only is your hair beautiful but OMG!!!! look at those EYES!!!
i juss did my bc on september 8th.,i love it my hair is not even a inch and i think im beyonce.lol im having too much fun with my twa...i cant wait til about 6 months from now when i can do my twistouts and stuff all i can do is wash and gos now but i love it...now i know what women mean when they say going natural gives u a liberating feeling.i love it
How often do you trim your hair and how much do you trim? I figure in the next 2yrs I will have beautiful hair like yours. I've been natural for a little over 2yrs now and have no idea what it looks like straight. Yours is lovely!!!!
is your hair relaxed? i have made the desion to stop relaxing my hair and i'm terrified out of my mind if your hair is not relaxed how ho you take care of it?
@astrozier1 that's what I'd suggest as well. Once your hair gets to that length, it does become overwhelming, esp if you blow out/flat iron at home. Not to mention the frizz that'll come later. Press on. It's nice to change it up ev so often. I don't think a press will do too much damage.
i have a question for you. Does one of your videos show your daily regimen. just washed and did a two strand twist with Shea Butter and Infusium 23. LOOOVVVVEEEE IT. Just wanted to know what the daily upkeep is for you to keep moisture until I take it out. then i will wear a twist out for about two weeks, sorry for the ramble, any tips? I will have pics later next week
Your hair is so gorgeous and you are such an inspiration for my natural hair journey. I pray that all is well in your life. Thank you for your wisdom!!!!!!!!!
Hi! Good to see you back! In regards to getting your hair flat, please check out SuperHotChocolate's technique. IT HAS WORKED WONDERS FOR ME!! The title of it is: "Follow up vid to: Getting that Relaxed look with Natural Hair" Just use your favorite products and use her technique. You will love it...IT'S GREAT, IT'S EASY AND IT WORKS!!
uh yeah....well...that didn't work! cut it three times that shit just seems to grow out mullet style. but i have two obvious curl patterns on one head. tight kinky hair in front maybe 4b then loose wavy hair in back....3C. so what could i do? not a damn thing i don't think.
i dont know but for me u look more younger n pretteier with your wavey hair just my opeinion but change is refreshing n we need to change between time and time
I just want to say I am so proud of u sis. I watched a few of ur ealier videos and ur hair has grown so much so quickly and u'v kept it very healthy.. Keep It Up
I have below waist length hair. I have been natural since 1995. I flat iron my hair on occasion. I apply CHI Straight Forward on damp hair, and blow dry using my Elchim Da Vinci 5000. I add CHI Silk Infusion to my hair and use my Sedu 1.5'' Flat Iron. I add a little more Silk Infusion to the end results and it's straight. I have 3C/4A textured hair. It takes a loooong time being my hair is very long, but it's worth it.
You make me want to go natural. Well, I haven't had a perm in years, BUT I wear weaves and don't take care of my hair underneath. Imma go natural I told my mom, she told me that's a good idea :) thank you
Wow, you...have....a.....lot.....of....beaUtiful hair. I feel your pain on the straighting part. I would like to suggest to you a youtuber by the name of saloncabelo. I learned some really good tips for blow drying and flat ironing. Check her out and.....she's natural just like you.
RusticBeauty is my hair inspiration. Feeling a little fed up as I dont seem to be able to retain length. Thought by putting my hair in cornrows thru the winter that I'd give my hair a rest and a chance to grow even more. The problem is when they come out - I lose so much hair. Have decided to stop with the cornrows and go back to two-strand twists. Not at all related to trimming hair but I needed to write it down!
igotwhatuwannasee, you CAN GROW YOUR HAIR LIKE THAT..YOU JUST HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT...her hair is just as tightly curly as many other black people's...she just knows how to take care of it..BLACK WOMEN CAN GROW THEIR HAIR..
hey rusticbeauty i love your videos u and longhairdontcare2011 are great and ur hair is beatifull i am trying to get to where u are so can u tell me what shampoo and other products u use again great job keep making those videos
ur hair is straight retarded i swear girl. im saying it looks like kanekalon hair....but i been following ur vids for so long so i know its urs! I LOVE IT! But one question how did u get it even because my natural seems to just grow in the way it wants to.
Your hair is freakin' GORGEOUS!!!!! I know you want it "flat" but the truth is that it will never be that way because of the texture. Be proud of that!!! You are an inspiration to any sista trying to grow their natural hair out. Your hair looks strong and healthy so keep it growing!!!
i am so glad you made this video rusticbeauty, people believe that only black people who are mix can have hair that long, and you are not, mix, your parents are from nigeria, i am from cameroon and there are a lot of people that i am related too that are a little lighter than you and are not mix , they have full black parents and their hair are that long. watching your videos has really help me transition safely. thanks
Welcome back it's nice to see you I'm subscribing today. My sister told me to look you up a little while ago and everybody was wondering if you were okay you could just tell by the comments that they were leaving so it's good that you're alright and I myself get busy too. Oh yes I love your hair I have the same problem with it being poofy after I straighten it. Once you do it successfully you will see that your hair will be up to 5 inches longer too. You may not believe it but it's true.
I am sure (well I at least hope) most ppl who have a similar hair texture, or understands afro textured hair knows that this type of hair is not meant to be flat. I should know, I have a mixture of 4a/4b hair. Like I said earlier...Keep up the great work @RusticBeauty, your hair is gorgeous :)
@drdawn86 The only reason why I said she could achieve bone str8 hair is b/c she mentioned that she couldn't get her hair flat. I personally don't want to see her hair bone str8, I love it this way. Still it's her hair, so if she would like to get it bone str8, flat, curly, etc.; it's her choice.
RusticBeauty WHAT! Your hair is amazing girl. It is so healthy and long. You inspire me. Keep the videos a coming because we need them. I need them. Thanks so much.
Your hair looks great! I don't think u will be able to achieve "bone" straight cuz that's not our natural texture. We have body in our hair that's what makes it "coily". U would have to use some type of relaxer and frankly that defeats the whole purpose? The roots r what's giving it that body which makes it "fluffy". Don't get caught up with "texture" bcoz your hair looks healthy due to the fact you aren't using chemicals I'm assuming & you have some straightness for manageability. ;)
She could achieve bone straight hair if she used a hot comb. My hair is thick like hers (not as long though), and a hot comb would get it bone straight. I don't suggest it because it could be as damaging as a relaxer sometimes. I agree her hair looks soooooo healthy. It's gorgeous. Keep up the great work RusticBeauty!
That's VERY true mimi she could achieve bone str8 with a hot comb that's why I was wondering how she str8end her hair. But I don't know there is just something SO unique about our natural hair and texture that I really love. I have never tried to achieve bone str8. The body just gives it that something extra. I love how her actually looks with "body" but less curl for manageability you know? Take care. :)
There are numerous techniques ppl can use to try to straighten their hair or achieve a flatter look). Many of these techniques vary in the degree of straightness/ flatness achieved. I agree, her hair looks great here, but in the end it's her hair so if she wants it flat, bone straight, curly, etc.; the choice is hers. I was just letting her know another option. It is possible to use a hot comb without damaging the hair, there's a woman on here who does it to her type 4 textured hair.
@mimi504 I'm having the same problem getting my natural hair to lay flat once flat ironed. What's the trick to pressing my hair straight and flat without damaging my hair?
OMG!! my hair used to look like yours when i was a kid... but, that was 27 years ago. i've been transitioning for 2.5 months. Check out my vid's (very short) and let me know what you think... advice... suggestions... i've learned a heck of a lot from you. keep the vid's coming... i am so loving them.
I loooooove your hair. I'm soooooo jealous! I can't wait for my hair to be that length. You're hair is gorgeous!!! Thank you for showcasing that Black women can be lovely, beautiful NATURAL hair without the use of harsh chemicals and weaves!!!!
Your hair looks gorgeous! It reminds me of my childhood hair before I got a relaxer, so I know my hair will grow that long again eventually. Lately, I've been thinking about locking my hair (Sisterlocks). Right now my hair is about 7 inches long after starting out with less than an inch a little over a year ago. Seeing your hair long like this makes me want to just keep my hair loose instead of locking!
Wow all that Hair... Simply Lovely !!!

igotwhatuwannasee, you CAN GROW YOUR HAIR LIKE THAT..YOU JUST HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT...her hair is just as tightly curly as many other black people's...she just knows how to take care of it..BLACK WOMEN CAN GROW THEIR HAIR..

You may not believe it but it's true.

how long did it take you to grow your hair

Don't get caught up with "texture" bcoz your hair looks healthy due to the fact you aren't using chemicals I'm assuming & you have some straightness for manageability. ;)
isisncali 2 years ago 2
She could achieve bone straight hair if she used a hot comb. My hair is thick like hers (not as long though), and a hot comb would get it bone straight. I don't suggest it because it could be as damaging as a relaxer sometimes. I agree her hair looks soooooo healthy. It's gorgeous. Keep up the great work RusticBeauty!
mimi504 2 years ago

Your hair looks gorgeous! It reminds me of my childhood hair before I got a relaxer, so I know my hair will grow that long again eventually. Lately, I've been thinking about locking my hair (Sisterlocks). Right now my hair is about 7 inches long after starting out with less than an inch a little over a year ago. Seeing your hair long like this makes me want to just keep my hair loose instead of locking!
