I love mustelids ^^ The wild ones in particular. Stoats and weasels are some of my favorite animals; thank you for sharing this video :D I've always wondered though, what does their fur feel like when you're holding one?
depends on where you live. stoats aren't as tamable as a domestic ferret persay, but are equally lovable :) (same goes for most mustelids. very smart critters and are able to adapt to different settings as able. or so i'm told and have researched lol)
However, I would not have advised letting him back into the wild, unless he was allowed into a rehabilitation centre first. Otherwise, he would have been poorly prepared for living in the wild. It's the same with all mammals that are naturally reared by a parent: that parent teaches them the necessary skills to hunt, hide, and so on.
Just something to keep in mind if you catch another wild animal!
That being said, I'm sure the if the stoat could talk, he'd thank you for all the help!
