AWESOME FLYING DUDE, the Auto-Gyro is the way to go, My MSgt is trying to put together an Search and Rescue Wing using Gyros, because of they flying characteristic as you well demonstrate.

...Zapperlot....der fliegt des Ding ja wie ein Stuka-Pilot.....sowas hab ich noch nie gesehen.....Und das ist wirklich nur ein Gyro....wenn ich das sehe, kann ichs gar nicht glauben...am Schluß zieht er doch Höhe mit einer Steigrate, die der Vortrieb vom Heckmotor gar nicht bringen kann.......oder?

"windy" day im Titel ist leicht untertrieben. An diesem Tag hatten wir ca. 70km/h Wind und nur bei solchem Wind kann man soooo spielen mit einem Gyro. Wenn man sich die original Videos "Gyro Fun Video 1 + 2" ansieht, kann man den Wind sehr gut hören.

Aber wie bereits mehrfach geschrieben: Bitte nicht nachmachen und auch gar nicht erst versuchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In dem Video fliegt ein echter Profi.

Sicherlich imposante Flugkünste, hat der Martin gut gemacht. Allerdings sollte man wirklich darauf hinweisen, dass diese so wie gezeigt, zum Großteil wirklich nur bei starkem Gegenwind möglich sind und Fluganfängern (wie auch mir) von der Nachahmung abzuraten ist.

das ist richtig, um so fliegen zu können muß man schon mehrere tausend Stunden auf der Uhr haben. Für Anfänger nicht nur nicht empfehlenswert, sondern ich denke, sogar verboten.

Martin, war übrigens nicht der Pilot, sondern der Kameramann.

This German gyro is fabulous! Of all the videos I have viewd, this unit has the shortest takeoff roll of any the the gyros. And its' design is fantastic. Which I were wealthy. I would order one in a flash.

@wingzofsteel I do not know if anyone answered you on this, but there is not a dealer in the U.S. on this particular gyro. Canada. However, FAA has not certified any of these gyros that are factory ready to fly in the U.S. You have to build them on your own from scratch or kit form. Magni sells the kit, however they have a incredible restrictive contract

Es gibt sehr viele Flugschulen in Deutschland, wo man Schnupperflüge buchen kann.

In zero wind how much room do you need to clear a 50ft / 15M obstacle (Tree Line)?

OH, that's a good question. I think, when you fly allone you need about 200 to 300m.

But I don't know it really.

sorry i cant spell, "collectors" what helicopters have, they pitch the blade for lift. some gyros use them for jump take off.

the way he was turning look like he was useing them in mid air, but i guess it could have been the wind, anyways thats some of the best flying iv ever seen!! i plan on takeing lessons soon

no, there are no collectors. a jump start is only possible with very strong wind.
