so just started listening to elbow (their first albumn). I love them! The strange thing is often their songs are pretty simple and seems like it should be boring, but for some reason their songs really work (opinion)
Im actually seeing these guys at coldplay on the 14th. Thought I'd check out there other stuff since I only know Grounds for Divorce. There more an act I'd go to see at my local venue, rather than in Phoenix Park! Looking forward to it big time though!
This is one of my all-time favorite eLbow songs! A classic. It's a good song to put you in a creative mindset. I never knew there was an official video for it.
This was the song that got me into these guys in the first place. It was a recommendation from a friend a while back, and I am forever in her debt. Otherwise, I might not have had the luck to come across them, cuz they are never played on the radio here. Yes, VERY underrated! But now, with them opening for Coldplay on the latest tour, that should up the ante a bit ;)
Emiems.. you're so right in that regard. sad to say that no one around me (other than my friend I was with) even heard of Elbow before.. but by the end of the band's short set, they wanted to know more about them! I went out in between shows to see if i could pick up their latest, as they played songs i never heard before, and was dismayed to see nothing but coldplay paraphernalia. there were a few of us running from one booth to the next and all we could find was 1 pitiful t-shirt!! very sad.
fair play they must get it from somewhere...you know the way they start their albums with a mantra song...this one beats all, lived on this when it came out, still love it

Elbow are opening for Coldplay? That doesn't seem right. Elbow have been around longer than Coldplay. Should be the other way round, shouldn't it?
Elbow are great. They're my contemplative music!

I love this song. First time I heard it was on Season 3 of Nip Tuck in the Mama Boone episode. Awesome song.

Jupp gave me some lessons while they were working on 'Leaders...', he's an absolutely brilliant musician.
